Great video! Very detailed and takes you through the whole process from start to finish-Appreciate all the help.
What helped save me some time was not disconnecting the camera/brake light. You can hold up the rear bumper piece with some painters tape, so when you’re done installing the lights, all you have to do is pop the clips back in. Also, for my 2019 Accord, the lights I bought were not a perfect fit-as expected. For people that have this same issue, you have to buy a product from 3M called window weld ribbon sealer. Basically what it is is a roll of a rubber-like substance that you can wedge inside areas that don’t have a perfect seal to ensure waterproofing. Again, thank you for such a great video 💯

These light have a coherent style while the V3 has a weird area for the reverse and the turn signal looks awkward as hell!

I got the same exact ones and installed them a couple of weeks ago as well. One thing to note tho and a lot of people don't know this is that you don't really need to take them middle piece out with the cam and emblem. There is enough clearance to just take out the inner lights. I've done a couple of these light install already so it's pretty fast and easy to do. I always suggest you use blue tape on the edges where the paint is at just in case tho.
Lights looks good tho. I was going to do the bumper lights too but the turns are a different color and I think it's a bit much now since you have aftermarket tails now. That's just me tho.
I known you can do that but I’m a little reckless with removing most parts so I just decided to remove the whole centerpiece from the trunk
And with the bumper lights I used to have the ones that was switch back but they got ruined so I got these but I didn’t know that they didn’t have a switch back at the time later down the line I will switch them out with a switchback
But for now imma just keep these ones on the bumper

Got these same one from same place. I like the startup animation for the V3 but the reverse light and the signal are design in an awkward ass configuration.

The way I live with it is that it’s located on the other side of the house so I never hear it 😂

That’s what almost happened to me with being impatient I almost ordered the smoke red version of my taillight instead of waiting for the clear but then I saw the red on another car in person and that’s I when I made the decision to wait cause I knew It would look better with the clear smoke instead

Yeah they was in preorder back in January they came out in late march that why it was a long wait
Can you check if these have the issue of static on your am/fm radio whenever you press the break, the LEDS on the v3 would interfere with the radio signal and cause static, if you could drive around listening to fm radio and tell me if theres any static i would appreciate it alot.
Hey I can confirm that it does interfere with the radio
Some stations it does not interfere with I tried as many as I can got the same result

I'm new to all this, I just bought a new 2022 and wondering if a change of taillights voids any warranties I have on it.
No it shouldn’t I went back to them after I installed them to have them repair my rims and they didn’t void my warranty after seeing the lights I also read online it’s illegal to void it for things like that
How do you think the rear trunk light bar would look on this?

How do u make the cool turn on animation happen every time? It only does it for me sometimes when I unlock my car?
Your headlight has to be turned on for the animation to work that’s why you mostly see it when it gets dark out

I just installed those too. They look great, I used to have the V1's until a cop pulled me over and said he couldn't tell I had my signals on. 3 different turns too. I hate those plastic clips things that go over the taillight bolts. I broke mine and just use double sided sticky tape to keep them on.
Yeah my friend had the same issue with the v1 getting pulled over for the turn signal I seen them in person I couldn’t tell that they was using the turn signals till I got very close the LED are not bright enough for daytime use
and for the clips Honda actually calls them finishers I found the part numbers for them I’m about to update the description and put the part numbers for them There for anyone that needs to buy replacements

Yes you can
hopefully they don’t overcharge you to install them on your vehicle
It’s not difficult do install them but if you don’t trust your skills you can find someone to install them
How does it hold up against the snow and ice?
I got them when the snow stopped so I can’t really give you a definitive answer yet till winter comes back around
Is it okay if the taillights aren’t completely flushed in with the base of the car? I ordered some and there’s an inkling of an opening between the taillights and the body of the car and I’m worried water can get in between them
It’s should be flush with the car if you have additional wires in the back it will slightly push your taillights out and create a small gap if not then I would contact the seller and let they know the issue and see if they can get you out some new ones

Yes it’s plug and play
And the blinkers will not blink fast because the taillight have a resistor to prevent the hyper flash from occurring on them

Anyone have a issue with their accord not starting? I have a 2022 and it wouldn't start. They said my after market brake lights caused a short and burned the brake fuse. So now my car warranty is voided. They changed the fuse and after market lights still on and no issues. I'm thinking this is just a honda issue not my lights.
I never had any issues with that sorry that happened they voided your warranty for a $2 fix is crazy cause a fuse can blow anytime and they shouldn’t have voided it for that it’s not really a Honda issue as that can happen to any car on the road like I blew my fuse for my cigarette lighter port and I knew it was blown cause my phone wouldn’t charge in that port and it was a $2 fix by going autozone and buying the fuse
a lot for a simple $2
But I understand you wouldn’t have know that it was a fuse cause for a car not starting you wouldn’t really think of a fuse as the first problem
lights are nice but ive heard of so many issues wth them, makes me nervous

@StrifeDimmer21 i can see your concern if to my knowledge a vehicle must have one reflective on the rear of the car and on the rear bumper on the accord there is 2 additional reflectors on it so you should be good cause if you don’t knows the mustang Mach-e has clear smoke taillights from factory and they don’t have any issues with it
To show the reverse light you dont necessary have to reverse you know that right Lol....

Ok so when does the flicking occur? During power up or while it’s on?
@@NadeWes Both, you can see in the animation the blocks that are not working properly. When they're on, and it's not constant. They look fine for a bit then small blocks randomly flicker. The trunk lid lights work fine so it's just the bumper lights. Haven't checked the wiring yet thought.
I would say check the wiring if not then you can try this procedure
1) Make sure car is off and headlights off
2) Press the brake
3 While pressing the brake turn on and off headlights 3x (On off on off on off)
6) Turn them on for the 4th time while pressing the brakes
7) Leave them on for 10 seconds (while pressing in the brake)
8) Turn off and let go of the brake at the same time (after the
10 seconds)
9) Get out of the car, lock once and unlock twice.
10) Turn on headlights to the on position
Close door and lock it
Wait until lights turn off and then unlock car
It should work but you might need to try couple times.

And if that doesn’t work then contact the seller and see if they can get you some new ones
I like the look but that shit with the grommet was sketchy. For what these cost, that wire should be provided with a pre installed sealed grommet. The way it is now you risk shorting those wires on the metal from rubbing and also a water leak. Good install but the aftermarket needs to stop cutting corners on fit and finish things like grommets and seals.
I agree with you 100% I have checked for leaks since install I have not had or seen any visible leaks and damage to the wires everything is intact and sealed
But I do agree with how they should’ve came up with a solution for the wire there is now I believe 9 versions of the taillight for this car and still no solution for that
