He was twice a champion of France but also a great man and chess teacher that made me and a lot of other kids love chess. It would a beautiful hommage for you to cover a game of his. Really takes some time to develop good chess strategy. Pieces activity, good squares, defense of the king, good diagonals for bishop, creating outpost for knights, the right time to activate queen, when to switch from defense to offense etc. Crazy game.
That is an interesting idea, Why not 3 squares, or 4 squares, but only 2? Can you elaborate on this? From a strong player like you it will be useful for us who struggle with our games.

Everyone talks about rameshbabu pragannananda, vidit gujrati and nihal sarin when they talk about next generation of indian chess talents....but i always found this guy very intimidating! The way he is racing forward and the hige amount of games he is playing per year is fearsome, just like aliReza. It is still to be seen, whether he takes the podium on their level such as aliReza.....but he is certainly someone to look out for and watching and keeping a close eye on this guy's progress
Seems to me that gave was lost on move 16 (the first original move of the game) when Black moved the knight to A6 -- far from the scene of battle. From that point on Black was effectively playing down a knight, enabling White to launch an irresistible assault on the Black king's fortress.

Arjun gained over 100 elo in the last 6 months .2660 elo. Now world number 4 junior . He is already world top 15 in blitz . Incredible talent . Magnus thinks he is a special talent as well

Tata Steel Masters is for the very best players in the World, Tata Steel Challengers is the B group, for the next lower tier players, still high rated IM and GM's but not quite elite level.
I think there is a tactic. White will use his bishop and queen attacking the knight and also threatening checkmate on f7. Also there is another trick in such openings, where black will offer the e pawn but later play d5 forking the 2 minor pieces.
Hold on to your horses, Arjun is a great talent but lets not get ahead of ourselves, Arjun was the highest rated player in the Challengers and the favorite to win it, next year in the Masters section he will be the lowest rated player there, and it's going to be the toughest tournament he'll be in to date. It's a huge difference.
