Emma He also appeared in season 9, but that wasn’t the same rocky dangerbuff. Or perhaps it was Cole disguised as Rocky Dangerbuff, Disguised as dragon hunter Rocky Dangerbuff🤔
@Cheese and tortoises. He has been Rocky Dangerbuff in Season 9, but he doesnt have his lumberjack disguise, but a Dragon Hunter one. He just named himself Rocky Dangerbuff again. It's even better because a Dangerbuff clan actually exists within the Dragon Hunters.
Interestingly, I never noticed any awkwardness about bringing the box to the camera. Perhaps you could toss in footage of the box alone in the white void whenever you would have shown it to the camera?
I really like how you have a wooden background when you show the mini figures, rather than the usual white one. It looks much better and contrasts nicer with the colours of the figures themselves. Glad to see this channel taking steps to improve!
It doesn't mess with my eyes at all. It might look a little funny but it isn't bad. Suggestion would be to take a pic of the front and back that you can overlay your video for a few seconds each but still allows the audio from your video to play through. I started doing this on my Starlink 4 launch at the end to show how they missed the landing & the rocket ended up in the ocean. Other than that there is nothing else you can do, because keeping it back by you is not an option if you want people to see the box lol
Fun fact: Lloyd originally turned Zane's Ninja suit pink from using pink dye in season 1. But in the ice chapter Lloyd said he "accidentally" mixed Zane's whites with Kai's Reds.
This Cole avatar reminds of when he disguised himself as Danger Bluff in season 8. And with the fedora from this set, you can sort of create a version of him.
When I first saw this new series of Ninjago sets, I was very intrigued and this set was probably the most interesting of the series (also I had always wanted a “pink” Zane Minifigure). I recently got the set and built it and I think that it was really cool. Really great review and nice video. As a side note, I think that your setup works very well (it’s my favourite of all the youtubers that I’ve seen) and I appreciate you bringing the set towards the camera.
Holding the box up to the camera looks absolutely fine to me. I suppose it's slightly harder to focus my eyes on it when it's actually moving towards the camera but I honestly didn't notice it until you mentioned it here.
I discoverd something quite interesting on one of the extra stickers for this set. The text in ninjago language on one of the stickers says:"Cole, the cake is a lie!" Which is probably a reference to Portal, which is also a game just like ninjago season 12. And it is funny because Cole likes cake. By the way I really like your videos Jang.
Leroy no, pink Zane is Zane, basically young Wu made his suit pink so he had to fight in pink. The fuchsia ninja is, sure he’s pink, but isn’t him. I know you were joking but I was just clarifying
Thanks for the review Jang! I don’t have any problem when you move the box toward the camera to show the box art. If a lot of others do, then maybe you can switch to the front then the back of the box similar to how you show the extra parts, then go back to the wide view for your final thoughts.
I picked up this set, probably a day or two after it was released. I had no idea about it, but it was a gift for my 4 year old. It's awesome! He loves all the characters, and we've had a lot of fun playing with it.
The reviews are great, the whole way you do them, to your views are absolutely great. I value your reviews over most because I like that you show the left over parts.
A "fun" fact: The price of this set overseas (or atleast in Sweden if we'll convert the Swedish currency to USD) is 45$ which (in my opinion of course) is relatively bad (although to be fair the Swedish currency and prices of literally anything is pretty expensive-ish) which i'd know since i live in Sweden plus i got this set, the Lego Friends tulip polybag set (the set number being 30408) and the set with a sorta light purple/lilac i think (my color knowledge ain't the absolute best and i currently forget the set number) flower with a little heart with small "snacks" (i forget the English word for what i'm talking about) in it from Lego Friends two days ago (as of making this comment) which i personally think is a pretty good (i think it'd be called such a thing) haul. An edit in two "parts": Part one. The set number for the second Lego Friends polybag was 30411 and the name of the Lego Friends polybags were: 30408 Tulips and 30411 Chocolate Box & Flower. Part two. Also i didn't expect to get any replies (nor did i see them earlier) and holy feces these prices the majority of you are mentioning are horrible, i'm so sorry about that even if it not my fault or i can do anything about it.
The Finnish price is about 45€ which is about $49! I think that's *waaaaaay* too much. But of course every lego set costs more in the Finnish market because we're expected to be in a good financial situation
Here in the Netherlands this set cost 29 euro, which I think is more reasonable. A lot of the $20 sets are overpriced here though, often costing 30 euro, which would be around $32.
Alpaka I agree, the US prices are generally better, even when adding the 5% - 10% sales tax that is added to the price depending on where you buy it in the US. It really is a measure of supply and demand though, because Technic sets (my favorite) are often more expensive in the US compared to parts of Europe. (When including sales tax)
holding the box forwards is fine imo. great videos, i find myself checking your videos for all prospective lego buys for my son. I really appreciate your quality and attention to detail.
bringing the box up close does not bother me at all. However, what you could do is to take pictures of the box so that you could show the box up close and see the detail. Hope that helps!
Loved the bit about the “Magenta Zane!” As for the box thing, I personally don’t find it distracting, but I also don’t think it’s necessary to show the box as a whole because you just showed the physical product, so maybe just leaving the box on the white table? Either way thanks again for the review, I have this set and love it!
Re: the Box! I agree it looks a little awkward, like pushing anything in your face. But I didn't mind it. I think just a screen shot, especially with the little stat bar on the left would be great. Also, this set looks awesome. I'm glad they are doing more figure heavy sets.
Harumi figure for the win! Outside of that, his is definitely a figure and accessories pack and that's great. The price is fair for 9 minifigures but I am going to wait and see if it drops a few bucks.
I like the Box up close :-), because this way it is easy to see all the details. I also like the Box held near the body to get a feeling of the actual size of the box. So, either way is good :). Thanks for the hard work. It is much appreciated.
I'm not a huge fan of Ninjago and I don't care about the actual ninjas but I often think the villains are super cool and this is no exception. My favorite thing about this set is just the red visor and the rat pack member. I love how they look. xD
You pronounced "accoutrement" quite good, well done Jang :) this time again I was hesitant about this set, now thanks to your in depth review video I am going to order it on S@H, via Brickset link of course. This minifig selection viewed so close and with good image quality convinced me. Thank you for this new good review video.
I recently started getting back into the hobby, and started with this set. I think I'm gonna make a RUclips channel dedicated to reviewing my progress in the collection
I don't have a problem, when you put the box near camera. Surely just fullscreen Fotos of the front and back for a bit will help those with this issue.
So excited to see this video of new wave cyberpunk Ninjago, thanks! Now inspired to revisit my all-time favourite lego theme: Space Police (~2009?), and other sci-fi/punk inspired sets like ultra agents, Ninjago SoG, a bit of Nexo, power miners, Exo, & my very old classic space... build my own “nether world”! :D
I highly value your feedback on these Lego sets. One of my main source when deciding if the price is right, sometimes helps relieve mild buyer's remorse when watching after the fact. Haha
Hey Jang - Moving the box near the camera doesn't bother me. I use a 15" retina screen MacBook Pro laptop. I think my eyes usually are about 24" from the screen. Cutting in photos may work and be preferred by some. I like the simple approach of moving the box - Cheers, Allan

Been really into this line, though I’m trying to save some money, so collecting it is slower going than usual. As for this set, I’m a little disappointed with how plain Nya and Cole’s avatars are. I may try my hand at some more spiced up customs. Either way, the set is surprisingly good for how small the builds are. I just want to know why Zane didn’t get a digi version.
While I like this set, I was kind of bummed out when the images were released because I thought it was going to be something like an actual store or an arcade or something. Instead, we just got some ho-hum builds of some in-game store. But it's got a bunch of neat-looking minifigs and rare parts for a low price, so I can't complain. I know City has minifig packs like this fairly often, but I hope LEGO makes it more of a regular thing for Ninjago.
I figure other people would have already said this but the canon reason why Zane's suit was pink was that Lloyd (before he was the green ninja) put pink dye and said that Kai washed his clothes together as a prank
Bringing the boxes closer to the camera is fine in my opinion. Maybe the speed of the movement is a little jarring, but not to the extent of being an issue.
I personally don't have any problems with the current video style. Though if there are people who for some reason doesn't like that way of showing the box. A close up 360 shot of it would be a nice middle compromise imho.
I totally love this set. Is got to be like the best valued Ninjago set in a long long time. The figure selection is incredible! Those are great! The accessories are also perfect. You get to keytana. I mean how much more can you ask for. Overall the set is an absolute win. As about the Box being really close to the camera jang it doesn't bother me in the slightest keep up the great videos.
Great minifig pack. At reasonable prices Lego should do far more of them, all through their themes. About your question, just keep showing the box like you do, it works for me.
I don’t mind you holding up the box so I can see it. Not sure why some find it awkward. Perhaps you can add a picture in the video post production. Or start with the close up in the beginning and draw back to do the review.
Show the box as a close up by itself and by your side. This gives us the potential buyers a look at the box and scale as to how big it is to a person's hands and or chest.
Would it be possible to scan the box as an image and edit the videos so that when you hold the box up to the camera, it's replaced by the still image? But honestly, personally I don't have a problem with how you do it now and I kinda like the videos where it starts off with the box up front looking all big then when it gets pulled back it looks like it becomes smaller. It's a nice little trick of the lens that adds some visual curiosity.
Skylor is my favourite Ninja & I’ve been wanting them to revisit her earlier amber costume, so although she isn’t included, Harumi is wearing the amber. Curious, but ok. Also, love this cyber-punk look of season 12, & prior Hunted & SoG. Kinda like 90s Tank-Girl meets Idoru! (Cyberpunk fiction)
I'm okay with how ever you wanna do showing the box. But maybe a idea, just throw a full size image up while describing price, parts count, and such. Maybe some editing like slow crawls from side to side and then a transition switch to another image of the back. Like I said I'm okay, but trying to help with an idea for the other viewers.
I like the wood grain background during the figure close-ups, it's much easier on the eyes.
Looking for lego minifigures huh? Jang moved them a couple of hours ago. Somewhere a little more... dramatic
Wait i thought you like bionics right
Avatar Cole is definitely a callback to Rocky Dangerbuff, his disguise in sons of garmadon
Emma He also appeared in season 9, but that wasn’t the same rocky dangerbuff. Or perhaps it was Cole disguised as Rocky Dangerbuff, Disguised as dragon hunter Rocky Dangerbuff🤔

I third that comment.
I see no issue with pushing the box forward.
