No need to feel uncomfortable about where you are filming from. Your vids are informative and fun and we are all here for it!
You should definitely have some home cooking vids! In the van or at home - I love watching your channel.
Hey Ryan, you should put together a road trip Playlist of your favorite music you listen to while on the road! I do a lot of driving for work and am always looking for new tunes! 😃
Hi
what a horrible idea
@@travisbroit’s not really that bad of idea
Yeah this isn’t a good idea.
I don't see how it's a bad idea. I'd love that too.😊
Townhouse Ryan has a better mustache trim. 😊
Agree with another commenter that maybe focus on the meals (as you did when you described some meals while you were eating) and less on the criminals. Some of these folks did heinous shit and some of your subscribers might be victims or related to victims. Wouldn’t be fun for them to see a killer somewhat “honored” on your channel. Cool series, but maybe keep the focus on the food.
Omg Ryan!!! We did it...we bought a motorhome! It's a beast , wish us luck!!! You inspired us. Ty!!❤❤❤
"I think rhonda could've done better." Lmao yea no shit, like not murdering people
Last meal request. This is a great idea!!!
Robert Dale Conklin, who was put to death by Georgia for murder. Conklin ordered filet mignon wrapped in bacon; shrimp; loaded baked potato; asparagus with hollandaise sauce; French bread; goat cheese; cantaloupe; and apple pie with ice cream.
an aristocrat eh
murderers dont deserve any last meal requests. A slop of potatoes and rice is already a priviledge to these trash
Ryan, what would your last meal be? You should make that for us next time :)
I'm gonna guess crab legs ;)
Starting a last meal series while camping down a dirt road next to a suspicious vehicle just outside of LA proper. Ryan !!
Plus not leaving after someone hollering weirdly, at least he closed his door!
as a new englander myself, it would be really cool to see you make your way up to anywhere in new england, especially maine!
Now that I think about it, you should title this series "Meals to die for"
Ryan! You should do a series where you cook someone's favorite meal that you find at the area you're camping at for the night. Can be something to get you out of your comfort zone and to strike a conversation with someone!
Inspired by @Discover Connection of course
From Martinellis - Back in 2004 John Martinelli developed the one-of-a-kind 10oz Apple Juice bottle that has a crunching sound just like an apple. Unfortunately, the materials used to produce that bottle are no longer available. It breaks our heart too, but we're committed to producing our single-serve apple juice bottles with plenty of flavor, minus the crunch.
I don't think I will get to travel again in this lifetime. Too many medical issues and not enough money. I really appreciate your videos because you are down to earth. I appreciate the brief history you give off each area especially since I have never been to the US
That meal was to die for.
I used to live in Niagara Falls NY ...Must see if you havent - love your content and have been watching since the Pandemic... thanks for being my pandemic distraction !😊
Giant Ravioli’s with Dumpling in a white Garlic thick sauce. Cheese on Nacho’s with hamburger and olives and sour cream. etc. ☕️👍🏻🇺🇸🫑
Heading east? If you're going to be around Albuquerque during the first week in October, don't miss the Balloon Fest. It's awesome!
Best time. Wilderness camping all over Albuquerque.
What I think you should do next is anything you want. I’ll watch it.
Ryan, do Allen Lee “Tiny” Davis! Lobster tail, fried potatoes, 1/2 lb of fried shrimp, 6 ounces of fried clams, 1/2 loaf of garlic bread and 32 ounces of A&W root beer.😮
Wild seeing you wake up in an actual home. But very cool none the less. Great content!!!
You should start a series cooking meals requested by your audience. Have you ever cooked soul food? How bout fried catfish, candy yams, collard greens and honey butter cornbread. LOL!!!!
Oxtails with gravy too!
Ryan! Most of us true crime fans appreciate when recognition is given to the victims. My suggestion is to continue this series as last meal of the killer of "xxx", give a short synopsis of the crime, and let the killer's name go unrecognized.
Yeah and please don't say cheers to the person who killed her children
Meals inspired by death row, mother killing family with rat poison. This is what happens, when you are running out of great ideas for "stealth camping" best wishes Ryan and get an apron.
That yelp from that stranger was definitely creepy. Especially as you’re cooking a deceased person’s last meal!
The apple juice has to be the brand martinelli fircit to work. Bite into it like a apple bite make sure it's dry
Bro don’t cheers Rhonda lmao she literally killed her children
That is what I am thinking too
We know he's a good guy but he will learn from that one I guess/hope ahah
It really isn't that deep. Its a tribute to the food and nothing more.
About wiping your hands, get a specific handwipe towel or rag and you can either tuck it in your wasteband or a pocket while you cook with a long end hanging free for wiping. Or you can figure a way for it to hang from your counter at grab/wipe height. You could use a micro fiber cloth that would be very easy to rinse or wash and wring out. Hang it to dry and that's quick and easy.
7:15....Will your new 3 cylinder truck camper with 56 hp make it up hills? 😮😮
Im ready for cooking for friends series. Now that everyone can hang out and sit around a table. Then weekend getaway with friends. Perfect setup.🎉
Love the vids and following your travels. I think you should make a tour through Colorado. In particular Estes Park Colorado. Lots to do there, good food and people. You can do a catch and cook guaranteed to get a fish at trout haven. Stocked pond and fun to fish. The main course will be the Stanley Hotel. It’s where Stephen King got inspiration for the Shining. Such a beautiful hotel. I think the cooler weather and tons to do would be good for your channel. Keep up the good work on your channel. Stay safe have fun!
Inmate: Lawrence Russell Brewer
Two chicken fried steaks with gravy drenched onions and other stuff
7:41 just for comparison:
I paid exactly 108 EUR last week for 55 liters of Diesel (12 gallons) in Germany. 19 gallons (~72 liters) for 108 USD ain't that bad..
Love these videos keep up the great work Ryan and safe travels
Can’t wait for the build videos!!! But also, I like the home videos etc, it’s nice to see different stuff, we are gonna watch, regardless of where ya are:):) I don’t think anyone is watching STRICTLY because you’re in your van, sorry BUD, you’ve got a whole LOTTA people watchin just because WE LIKE YOUUUU 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Ryan, I have only been following you for a year or so, so it’s possible you have already done what I am about to suggest. I think an alienUFO tour would be great. Area 51, Roswell, NM, Bradshaw Ranch in Sedona, AZ, Joshua Tree National Park, SETI in Mountain View, CA, etc. you could get a good week or two just chasing UFO sightings.
Sounds fun!!!!!!
I wipe my hands on my shirt or pants all the time too. The remedy is to have a wipe cloth tucked into your waist band! either by your side or in front. Or just hang up a wipe cloth somewhere convenient since your van is small enough to reach pretty much everywhere easily. Maybe on one of your cabinet handles, like how you hang your towel?
Hi! Have you explored mid-southern Illinois yet? Starved Rock is gorgeous for hiking. And if you head north in Illinois to the McHenry county area there are tons of hiking, camping, fishing, etc. places to go. From there its a close drive to Wisconsin which has even more to see!
Can’t wait to see the new build! Love your content.
Keep on filming and growing and inspiring.
Can't wait for the next videos! Thank you so much Ryan ♥
Ryan - you should get a small broiler oven. It would be easier to toast and cook small oven dishes. Almost as good as a microwave to heat stuff up too.
Kinda wish you did a funny slow motion edit with your surprised reaction when the cwescent rolls popped. Maybe you can turn it into a short.
I might have missed it but hit rampart range road in Colorado. It’s sort of behind Garden of the Gods and would give you some beautiful campsites.
Hey Ryan, you should do the great river road that follows the Mississippi River! About if beautiful river towns with really nice people and places to stay!
I would love to see you in Colorado. Specifically taking the “Million dollar highway” up into Ouray, Colorado. It’s just so breathtaking, one of the best mountain drives. Godspeed Ryan!!
Hey Ryan hope all is well. I think this new last meal series idea really cool. Hope you continue it make sure you pick the weird once. Also you should come down to NY n stealth Camp on Park Avenue or something. Looking forward to your nxt vid.
Scanned through comments to see if anyone suggested wiping your hands on small towel or paper towel while cooking. I could never cook without one. Keep your pants clean.
Great idea with death row meal idea!
Those Pillsbury tubes are the adult version of the jack in the box 😂
It's almost hockey season! Let's road trip to a Caps game
If you are out towards NC, check out Hot Springs, NC. It is right on the French Broad River along the Appalachian Trail
If you go through Barstow ( my hometown and home of original Del Taco) gotta stop at Calico Ghost Town and/or eat at Peggy Sue Diner.
A thing I'd love to see is a '60s VW van camper with your touch on it ;)
That yell at 14:46 eerily reminded me of the Sierra Sounds. You were in prime Bigfoot territory
Come through East Tennessee. Lots of cool stuff close by to hike to or check out. Also some of the best views when you get up in the mountains.
Dude your are living it. Love your videos . Your journey's look so fun. And you are killing it at the cooking you make some amazing dishes.
Wow, 108 is hot....here in Oklahoma is pretty hot also... today was 100 degrees, but next week we will be feeling like fall weather....im excited for it....thank you ryan, and please be safe...have fun...
Ryan come visit upstate NY I live in Kingston NY but you can visit the Adirondacks
5:15 Gee, Ryan only 10,000?? 😂😂 The views are beautiful in the Cali mountains!
Not too many show Laughlin Nevada, there are a few federal and state parks / campgrounds there and searchlight is on the way and has a federal park/ campground called Cottonwood cove.
If you start the potatoes in cold water, bring them to boil with the water it ensures they cook evenly.
Hi! Connie from Elk County (elk country), PA. I love your videos !!! I think you need to travel to Cape Cod, then take ferry to Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard!!! You'll love it!!
If your driving thru New Mexico on the week of October 8th-13th come to ABQ for the ballon fiesta. Park at the casino on the hill and watch from there. It’s epic bro.
That sneeze / yell caught me off guard 😅😮
An apron would be pretty good if you find yourself wiping your hands on your pants all the time! I kinda like the idea of a custom branded apron for you since you cook so much.
Love the video bro! Low key ur a amazing cook! Love from Atlanta ga ❤️
When going up mountains with the extra weight....if you have a tow/haul button on the shifter use it...if not shift out of overdrive(the d with circles or brackets around it) down too the d with no brackets or whatever the next gear down is
Ps. If your van did not come standard with a trans cooler....have one added, not real expensive
Don't do last meal of evil people. Do favorite meals of your followers and we can all vote.
That's a great idea!
New subscriber here! Just stumbles on your videos on my feed cause I decided watching vanlife videos. Decided to subscribe because it’s good content and the food 😂😂
Mom wake uo up Ryan uploaded ❤
Hey Bro big fan from South Africa love watching your channel and thank you for the wholesome content.
I think I would order endless pasta 😂😂 just keep it coming I'm not done 😂😂
Kansas is a beautiful state - there are flint hills and loads of prairie grasslands. The killers of the Clutter family were executed at Lansing. Perry Smith reportedly asked for shrimp, French fries, and ice cream. (Weird because KS isn’t exactly known for shrimp.) I bet you could make ice cream in your van! If you come this way, let me know. I don’t have a road trip planned until November.
The New England states are often overlooked. Maine has many lakes, Acadia National Park. New Hampshire has Mount Washington. Just a suggestion
Hello Ryan,
Thank you for the message. I am unsure about "I have a something for you." Should I send you an email, if so, to what address? I don't have Instagram. Thanks!
That’s a great idea!!!! I had no idea who you were a year ago started watching and I’m hooked!!!! The trip the food and the knowledge is top notch keep doing your thing!!!
Thats a good idea about the last dinner thing I don’t know of any of them to suggest but I think it’s a groovy idea
Ryan, head up to New England for the Fall Foliage (leaf peepers). I live in NH and you can definitely stay at my house if you like! Message me if interested! Mark
You can also put the potatoes on a plate to mash and it’s a little easier!
A head of Cabbage is actually heavier than a head of lettuce!😊
Movin on up in the world Ryan! Love that you only live part time in the van because camping and traveling part time is something I’m very interested in doing.
Content's still fire, really appreciate the effort you go to find creative twists on the formula you established!
loving the house footage!
On your shifter when going uphill shift it to 2nd or 3rd gear. Keeping the car at 3000rpm going up hill will make your car work harder going up.
Grab a half apron and you will save the grease spots on your pants! Lol keep up the videos!
You should do a trip to the black hills in South Dakota, we had a great time there this year on vacation!
This time of the year is some of the best time to visit us and by us I mean the Florida Everglades…… some what cooler nights and fishing is in fire right now
Ryan I'm interested in buying a promaster too, wondering if you could bring up / do a video detailing your experiences with the promaster and it's reliability /maintenance you've had to do over the life of the van.
Haven’t gone myself, but since you’re going east, go to Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Pretty much the Smoky Mountains.
I live in Park City. You can do all kinds of cool stuff in the area. From bobsled ride at the 2002 Olympic Park to antique train ride in Heber, Ut. There's Sundance resort to Bridal Vail waterfall. Tons of camping everywhere. And of course Park City as an old mining town. Then I would head to Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.
I was very confused when your meal was not a large brown cube
I literally slid trying to get the remote to watch on my TV 😂
Love the way you said croissant like Carl. lmao
Flagstaff, AZ after you get back to NV and head east. Would love to take you out for a beer. It’s only 3 hours from Vegas.
I love the new death row cooking show. cant wait to see the next episode. keep up the good work!
The hands on the pants remedy is a apron , i used to do it all the time being the main cook in my house and my girls got me a dad apron 😂
Have you thought about doing some of the easier sections of the Trans America Trail? When you head back west, you could start in Hatteras, North Carolina and take the trail west. I think most of it can be done in a two wheel drive. The more technical sections could be bypassed. It's a bucket list drive for me.
Should head up to Vermont. Nice looking place in the fall.
Ryan, you should make some Jamaican Oxtails with rice and beans and a side of pikliz. Cant go wrong!
Love oxtails, but didn't know there was such a thing as Jamaican oxtails. Sound great.
One idea of something a little different in LV is to find a guiding service in LV to take you rock climbing at the beautiful Red Rocks just outside of town. I enjoy all your content especially the recipes.
Dude, this entire time I thought you were actually cooking for a death row prisoner 🤦🏼♂️😂😂😂. Throughout the entire video I started questioning “how and who reached out to you to cook them their last dinner?”
Hope I’m not the only one who thought this 😆😆
After leaving Las Vegas, you might have time to go up into New England and catch the changing color of the Fall leaves on video. The best times for changing leaf colors seem to be late September, and you could get some good footage before heading back to San Diego. Since you said you wanted to venture into the northeast sometime, this might be a nice window of opportunity.
Plz do some Hawaiian Style BBQ Plate Lunch. BBQ chicken plate with white rice and Mac salad. Or thinly sliced Korean style beef marinated overnight with teriyaki sauce, same sides. Or Orange chicken. Or more luau style with Kalua Pork Cabbage, Lomi Lomi Salmon, poi and Haupia for dessert! Or sushi, just because. Love the channel, your cooking inspires me.
