Guitar Center needs to start taking pictures and weights of individual guitars like other retailers do, at least when they're $2500-$3,000 and up. I own over a dozen Gibsons and would NEVER buy a Les Paul from Guitar Center (or any other retailer) sight unseen with no knowledge of what the figuring looks like, how much it weighs, what the fretboard looks like or if there are factory flaws. I know you do this for *some* one of a kind guitars but you need to do this for the high end production guitars too if you expect people to order them online. Not only that, many of these sit in a store and get handled, so they are no better than a "demo". At least consider photographing and weighing the stock in your warehouse that hasn't been hung on a wall.
@dv8322 Well, you can see them "in person" at a store *if* they actually have any in stock, which is not often. The last time I walked into a Guitar Center they had two Gibsons... one SG and one Les Paul.... and neither looked "new" anymore. Of course, they can order you one but then you still have to pay for it and won't know what it will look like until it gets there, hence the problem.

Love Angela! Have her do more of these. She’s a great musician and knows her stuff. I think everyone should have a Les Paul standard. They are classics for a reason.
I love how she stops and takes a moment to explain things, she's not just jamming and flipping switches, has a great rationale on why and what she's playing and how it could be used in a song.
Her technique is the epitome of textbook perfect. You can tell that from day 1 of her guitar journey she's always been painstakingly diligent about this. Not that there aren't any amazingly fantastic guitar players out there that don't adhere to any rules. That works for some people. But Angela's adherence to technique clearly plays a huge role in her virtuosity. Unimaginable heights are more attainable if you've built a large solid foundation to launch from, and she's testament of that.
@@JackPeters-g5z Great for her. She deserves it. She's been working hard. I honestly don't know how she finds time to do it all. But sucks for us. I'm gonna miss seeing her playing small venues right near my home where I don't have to deal with traffic and large crowds. I suspect those days are just about over.
I personally believe the best way to demo the Les Paul is straight into the amp. No pedals no effects. Just straight into the amp and use the volume and tone pots with the volume cranked. Just my opinion. I love my Gibson standard 50’s Les Paul. It’s my numero uno!
Remember to have fun. Tons of YT guitar channels will keep bringing you to scales, shapes and theory but it's a lot more fun to just learn a couple of chords and notes and play around with them till you get comfortable. Then you'll find something of your own that sounds good and is fun to play. I enjoyed guitar much more when I took the work out of it and stopped trying to sound like the pros. I'm not going to be Eddie Van Halen and that's ok.
Wow, great job, I just bought the same guitar myself a month ago, nice seeing confirmation on my choice. Although she sounds a whole lot better than me. I am 60 and getting back into playing again only have a few years of experience. I am running though the same Marshall 4x12 cab and am using a Marshal JVM 410h. Now I am getting into pedals too. Thanks for inspiring me! I still love my classic rock songs.
Yeah the riff at the start sounds cool but I think it gets a bit muddy with the pedals later on In to it. Jimmy Page and Angus Young actually played relatively clean through cranked Marshals with natural warm break up, Just some friendly constructive criticism❤
I got a standard 60s back in 2020/2021 i believe it was. Do you know if these models are also AAA flame tops? I've been wondering for a while now by have never been able to find out
If anyone is wandering this is a $3k Beauty. This is what I want The only problem is i need a thinner neck☹️ any reccomendations ? Something under $500.
That’s a AAA top? Someone at Gibson was drunk lol. That maybe looks like a AA top. My Gibson AA ocean blue 60’s standard has more flame than that. Love the guitar.
She mentioned every difference between the 50s and the 60s except for the most important thing, the neck thickness. That’s the reason I would never buy a 50s and only own 60s.
How bout playing it clean without effects to hear it’s True Tone . as I remember the 60’s many records had Les Pauls😢 played clean with beautiful tone . This sounds muddy and mushy… Also if you’re going to have someone play distortion have them play something recognizable like the intro to “Money For Nothing” …something that lots of guitarist play instead of non sensical noodling….
When compared to a Strat, or Tele, the Les Paul’s price point makes absolutely no sense…Strats and Teles do so much more for way less money, yet holding a Les Paul is the coolest thing there can ever be!!!!
It's like instead of cowboy chords you have , horse chord's like a MOTORCYCLE 🏍️ SORRY I DON'T HAVE A HARLEY-DAVIDSON EMOJI 4:21 YOU KNOW THE IRON HORSE 🐎 5:24
*Yeah, I'm more worried about guitar going out tune when you abuse it by bending the strings. This chick's delicate fingers wouldn't bend it as hard even with extra light gauge strings and tuned a step down. She'd barely hold any note long enough to demonstrate the sutstain.*
Jeff Beck played a LP "Oxblood" that is with a real bridge, one piece-bridge. This thing with a tailpiece and the "bridge" before the first pick-up is a piece of shit
You realize there's something called an EQ........ it depends how each person sets it all up. She also played a lot on the neck pickup towards the end. The 60s Standard is actually very bright. Some people consider it "too" bright.
This demo of what is probably a great guitar is spoilt by the use of distortion in the signal path. We don't really get to hear the true tone of the guitar. Its almost impossible to compare the Gibson to other guitars as the contribution of guitar wood, pickups etc, is masked by the distortion which is pretty awful. I have been a warranty repairer and service agent for several high profile guitar brands for a couple of decades and can make almost any guitar sound like this demo with a selection of distortion effects. We have to look elsewhere to really hear the true tone and great features of this beautiful Gibson. ruclips.net/video/TSKhClpGrXo/видео.html
What do you think of the limited-edition AAA flame top on this Gibson Les Paul Standard '60s? Let us know in the comments! 🤘

i don't care how much hate the Gibson Les Paul gets these days I still love them.
Angela rocks and knows guitars. This is my new favorite color for a LP. Geesh! Thanks Angela.🙄
Love Angela! Have her do more of these. She’s a great musician and knows her stuff. I think everyone should have a Les Paul standard. They are classics for a reason.
🙌🙌🙌 So glad Angela got this gig.
Anything with Angela Petrilli .... count me in. Good move, GC. Beautiful! The guitar too.
Angela is amazing and her demo really helps this LP shine!!!
More demos by Angela please. Love her demo - the playing, the explaining of the controls and the tones. Love les pauls.
Happy for Angela, representing Gibson and Guitar Center. I need to get a Les Paul one of these days.
I love how she stops and takes a moment to explain things, she's not just jamming and flipping switches, has a great rationale on why and what she's playing and how it could be used in a song.

She's moving on no more Norm no longer sweet little Angela

Angela is the best! Listen to her album

I picked up a used Epiphone version from GC for around $300 because I suck and barely learning anything about guitars at 42 years old. 👴🏽 🎸
Stick with it. It's a long process, but you'll get better before you know it.

just got my first standard 60s bourbon burst. man..... i"m in love

Nice demo Angela!

Guitar Center and Gibson. What an award winning combination! No thanks.
I couldn't help but hear a little bit of China Grove in the intro. I love nostalgia.
Angela Petrilli needs to come back and review guitars...I have seen her on Norms rare guitars youtube channel she knows what she is talk about.
You make me want to buy one of these guitars, Angela. I've always loved the sound of a Les Paul, just so rich and fat. ❤
I love my A++++ Standard. It too is a 60s but with the 50s knobs (2012 edition)
Standard 60 sweet. A ton of music to explore
I think I sold Angela a Les Paul when she was a teenager.🤘
I got a standard 60s back in 2020/2021 i believe it was. Do you know if these models are also AAA flame tops? I've been wondering for a while now by have never been able to find out
Love the AAA flame tops
Some Rick Derringer ish playing with the wah... nicely done, the entirety of the demo is as well.
I believe they call it the fire burst. I have been looking at them on the internet.
I like the burst buckers.
💯 8:39
Well-played.. great sound
Pretty nice guitar , a great instrument. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing 🎸
I'm trying to learn 'Over the Hills and Far Away' from her☆
Like she says, a warm blanket. I need a beefy 50's neck though! I see those silver top knobs and look elsewhere!
If anyone is wandering this is a $3k Beauty. This is what I want
The only problem is i need a thinner neck☹️ any reccomendations ? Something under $500.
*Where is the marshall amp head?*
Oh my, that is pretty les paul!
I want one of those ….! What’s it called … an Angela!?
beautiful! so is the gtr.
Check out arcade effects there pretty cool.
You didn’t mention Bonamassa probably the best known LP player today
excellent guitarist ..
A beautiful woman and a beautiful guitar...
BEAUTY
That’s a AAA top? Someone at Gibson was drunk lol. That maybe looks like a AA top. My Gibson AA ocean blue 60’s standard has more flame than that. Love the guitar.
My home rug is so big can't take it know where.
She mentioned every difference between the 50s and the 60s except for the most important thing, the neck thickness. That’s the reason I would never buy a 50s and only own 60s.
Seriously!
Because it's like a workhorse 5:35
I just got rid of my Gibson les Paul modern. Those pickups on standards suck imo. I like the custom 490 498 pickups.
How bout playing it clean without effects to hear it’s True Tone . as I remember the 60’s many records had Les Pauls😢 played clean with beautiful tone . And because small can add more to a pedal board.
What color is this?
Bourbon burst
Tri burst
Looks like ice tea but it's not
Related to Al Pitrelli?
So many great colors and Gibson keeps recycling the same tired burst that does not scream Limited Edition.
I prefer 59 burst tone.
Nice.
Let me Rock you Angela
When compared to a Strat, or Tele, the Les Paul’s price point makes absolutely no sense…Strats and Teles do so much more for way less money, yet holding a Les Paul is the coolest thing there can ever be!!!!
D shape right

Aw gee sus why all of that distortion, they all make a din with the distortion but WHAT DOES THE GUITAR SOUND LIKE ?
You ever watch Ellie amazing little gal on bass.
They break very easy
Nice amp to
And she don't play easy bass lines either. I want see how far the little gal can go in the music field
ok, now I want les paul 🙄
Cupcake's rock guitar
I’d hoped to hear the guitar instead I got a demo of pedals
*Yeah, I'm more worried about guitar going out tune when you abuse it by bending the strings. This chick's delicate fingers wouldn't bend it as hard even with extra light gauge strings and tuned a step down. She'd barely hold any note long enough to demonstrate the sutstain.*
There nice just don't drop it on headstock
A sustainer
... Sounds like a Les Paul...
I don’t know or care who she is, but you can do an episode on the B3 and the Fender Rhodes!!!
#AngelaPetrilli ÷ a Gibson Les Paul 60s Burst + #CryBabyWah Filthy Nasty Savage Rock!!!
Angela's better than looking than what kind of guitar was that?
! ! !
Bella/Linda.💍✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️✡️
And she don't play easy bass lines either.
Am i the only person wondering where the amp head is 🤣🤣
The guitar's weight must be killing her leg's blood flow 😮
ไม่รู้จักบุญคุณ

Ok it’s an overpriced AAA, it’s all about the amp, my 2010 epi plus top sounds incredible through a good tube amp…🤠
For me these Standards are not doing what a Les Paul should be doing. They can be lively and expressive guitars, but this sounds muddy and dark.
Turn the treble up on your amps and drop the bass a bit. Also, it's YT. It's not gonna sound like how they do in real life.
What pickups would you prefer? Just curious
It’s the player here, not the guitar. She’s heavy handed.
I think it’s her pedals that are making it darker and not lively.
You realize there's something called an EQ........ it depends how each person sets it all up. She also played a lot on the neck pickup towards the end.

Boo Hoo 😂
To much bass.
