  • Aung Let Hung and Hlu Thang are two of 10 refugees learning how to run their own farm businesses in KCK through a four-year training program called New Roots for Refugees (run by Catholic Charities of Northeast Kansas and Cultivate KC).
Through the Local Food Purchase Assistance (LFPA) Cooperative Agreement program, Harvesters is able to support local farmers by purchasing wholesale produce thanks to a grant provided by our partners, the Kansas Department of Agriculture, and get this nutritious food into the hands of neighbors experiencing food insecurity.
