TF has 3 cards he cycles through when he presses W. Blue card does single target damage but gives TF mana when it hits. Yellow card stuns the target meaning they can't move. Red card does an area of effect on hit that deals damage @@rdxzero

There's nothing heavy about him in any aspect. Its a mage who shoves wave, has roaming ult to gank lanes and getting objectives, point and click stun to catch enemies for his team, that's it. Really really simple champ. It's just that new people to the game don't know how to look on the map and make a decisions, but it's a general game knowledge issue which translates to all champs in the game.
That's not the issue here. La+ (truthfully, everyone except Ibrahim) spent the session fighting more against their key bindings and bad habits than they did their own champs' mechanics, never mind the enemy champs. They sorely underestimated just how many moving parts and how much information they each were responsible for, and trying to juggle all that caused serious delays in their decision making. They had lots of laughs over their fails and I'm glad for that, and La+ eventually found her rhythm with TP Veigar, but seeing as the tournament is tomorrow, they all really gotta get it in gear, and fast.

Ngl though La+ is harder to defend she probably should have just ulted but she's just level 19 probably shouldn't expect much
