Hi Chris I watch this video more than 30 time, finally I buy Taylor custom GA koa from NAMM show2018 it's very very expensive guitar but after one year I think it worth every $ I paid for this guitar. Chris you are always my favorite guitar player! Thanks 🙏🏼 for your demonstration
With practice you can play like him. You have to be dedicated though. I had been playing for ten years and had brain surgery and lost everything I had learned and written over a decade. But I stuck with it and have regained most of my knowledge. With passion and dedication you can get far in life and especially in your love of music. You can do it =)
I watch you playing Martin guitars I love all guitars but I love the Taylor guitars I think all the videos I've watch you sound better with Taylor guitars just my honest opinion
should have done some strumming as well. That's what I wanted to hear the most and I didn't get to hear any. just something to bear in my mind for the next time you're doin an acoustic guitar demo :)
Acacia koa is a species of flowering tree in the pea family, Fabaceae. It is endemic to the Hawaiian Islands,[1] where it is the second most common tree.[2] The highest populations are on Hawaiʻi, Maui and Oʻahu. Its name in the Hawaiian language, koa, also means brave, bold, fearless, or warrior.[3]
The wood is very beautiful, however, like many Taylor guitars, it is devoid of tone. Taylor's are almost completely made by machines with almost no real handwork. I've owned Taylor guitars in the past and they sounded bright, and lacking depth. They sound slightly better plugged in, but that is not saying much. Using Koa as a soundboard is not going to produce a great acoustic sound. For the amount of money these so called "custom" guitars cost, you are getting fancy figured wood, detailed inlays, and little else. It's like buying a new Corvette and finding out there is nothing under the hood......
Oh God, words cant describe how beautiful these koa Taylor guitars are.
Beautiful is a great start!
Hi Marc,
I love that gentle and soft way how you treat the guitars. There's lots of respect in it. I've learned by watching and listening. Thank you!
One of the finest pieces of KOA i have ever seen !
Something about this guitar. That wood is absolutely beautiful!! To me, it's the prettiest guitar I've ever seen, but the wood does have an odd sound
Koa is so beautiful, both in looks and tone.
It's like a giant ukulele!
What a beautiful sound!

There is a genetic factor that cannot be overcome by practice.
True, musical gifts and talent play a part. But anyone can train to be a proficient musician. =)
Powertuber1000 no one ever got good by overthinking how to play just play try and fail at first so you learn how to succeed

Stunning guitar. A bit too blingy for my taste, I'd be paranoid about not scratching/dinging it.
Play a full chord for chrissakes.
Do you mean for Christs sake?
