Lost In The Trees is one of my favorite bands of all time. I come back to the albums frequently and thankfully have the vinyl that I bought from them at SXSW years ago. Whenever I need a musical escape, they are there for me.
My God, what an utter tour de force of a song. I can kinda understand why a band would break up after creating this song; surely no human is capable of ever coming close to matching the sublimity of this. Time to retire & take up woodworking in Alaska somewhere.
If you can believe it: the live performance vastly, vastly surpasses this absolutely gorgeous track and video. This is a very great ensemble - seeing them in the tiny confines of the Red Room at DC's Black Cat Club last night, I felt like I might have been in Oxford in 1992 watching Radiohead before they blew up. Ari Picker is a genius and has assembled an absurdly gifted group. If there are music gods - Apollon: listen! - help them reach the audience and concert venues they deserve.
Beautiful vocals. Great time signature and production. Very Radiohead sounding but different enough to stand on it's own. Glad I was able to catch this on the radio this morning. ;)
They truly put on an amazing live show. I saw them in DC as well, except it was just last night at the Rock and Roll Hotel. They premiered a bunch of songs from their new album that they haven't even recorded yet, it's a new direction but definitely just as emotionally powerfully and rhythmically intriguing.
I believe you. music videos can very creative but they do nothing for the music itself. music will always be auditory. I find music best manifests itself within me when I close my eyes.
Still getting to know them, but definetely the most impressive craft I've seen in a long time. I could say it's like recent radiohead without the anger. Still it's so much more!
I can appreciate that sentiment; when I realized there would be no chamber instrumentation at the show, I was ready to be disappointed. But they're still churning out some pretty powerful material. I of course would like a Church That Fits Our Needs Pt 2, but they've lost a couple members (used to be 7?), so they're working with what they have. I talked to the drummer after the show and he said the preliminary title for the last song before the encore was "Wake." That shit was intense.
"Hipster" is a state of mind. So is the anti-hipster state. The positioning of oneself above expectancy is that wich defines, but it's for naught. The anti-hipster state is thefore akin to repulsing oneself over one's own reflection, nigh a mirror of the mind. Baffling is one's fixation towards destroying his own reflection, for the slivers will surely be incisive.
The production value is obviously higher, and I love the song, but I kind of miss the intimacy of Ari Picker's voice found on their previous recordings.
I was at the RnR Hotel last night and, truth to tell, was disappointed. Ari has - as is his right: a great artist (and he is) disdains to repeat him/herself - remade his band again and has subtracted the pieces that made LITT truly distinctive, inimitable. The Black Cat show was shattering (Still cannot get it out of my head). Last night made me look forward to the CD. But I thought a lot was derivative, in std 5-piece format: there's Radiohead (OK Comp & In Rainbows), Wilco, Coldplay, Beatles..
If you haven't already, check out the "All Alone in an Empty House" album. It is very good, and in my opinion is better than this one - even though this is great also!
All of Lost's videos frankly distract from the music IMHO. The music seems to demand so much attention and helps feed its own imagery that additional imagery seems redundant detracting.

I truly wish this band released just one more record. They were great, a fresh sound, hope they are all well too.
Still listening and loving this
Wow! This is wonderful, so beautiful and soul searching. So difficult but cleansing just the same.
He really does have a lovely voice
I Love the leaves in the tub.
It gets me emotionalizing every time.
I felt this exact way about the video. It takes away from the music instead of adding to it.

Don't know why but this song always make me think of Jennifer connelly when she was 15/16 years old like in phenomena and labyrinth...
Amazing🎶👍🏽
All time fav sog!

I like it, I super like it. I might even say, I love it :)
I'd say it's hipster music, but hipster music is kinda awesome. It's my favorite kind.
Lead singer sounds a lot like James Mercer. That's a good thing.
damn this was a very specifically wonderful vision and i love this. always loved Tim Fite and Man Man, never heard this before.
I noticed that the last verses in the description aren't actually part of the song; What's up with that?
its awesome ! very radiohead'ish
Ari Picker is from Bynum, I think
EPIC
Please somebody tell me who directed this Masterpiece?!
where are they from?
alalalal' first pag .

Unbelievable
You. Mister. Are hot just short of fire.
I didnt get it
What does 'hipster band' even mean? That is the most ambiguous thing I have heard someone say in a while.
If you haven't already, check out the "All Alone in an Empty House" album. It is very good, and in my opinion is better than this one - even though this is great also!
Another hipster band! We really need more of those
Those look like coca leaves

wut
Wat the hell was that
Yeah it's weird...but there's no song in there for me....and it didn't stop the New World Order from coming in
