A most sensitive and interesting performance; in the late 1970s, I had the honour to meet Sir Lennox when he visited his "Aunt" Miss Jackson at Boar's Hill in the house where he was born and where I was then living. I hope to hear/see you perform more.
Hi Laura, I saw you live in Worcester a little while ago. This video is a wonderful reminder of your accuracy, power, and interpretation of great music. Thank you Andy
What I like so much is that this is not actually my favourite piece of music, but you played it so well that I actually have come to love this rendition!
Hurrah Laura, so crispy and rythymic! My first big "grownup piece" beyond the Villa Lobos preludes....first heard on a Julian Bream album..... Jeezus Gurl, it sounds like a different instrumet doing the Slowdagio part....Oboe like.... Gawd, 11;16 you kill it.....BRAVO!
Such dexterous hands ! they work magic in producing these sounds. She really inhabits the music and dances it out. And, to me, the Bream element is this and also her totally fluid apoyando
Energy, conviction, and apparent ease. No pussyfooting, no mannerism, fast but not strained. This is very good. You are doing something new, personal and inspired with this piece in my opinion. Congrats for the achievement. You look happy as you play: I hope you get many occasions. All the best.
For me, what an intro to the music of Sir Lennox. Hope to find his compositions for the guitar--Quatre pièces pour la guitare (1928), Sonatina, Op. 52, No. 1 (1957), Theme and Variations, Op. 77 (1970). Thanks Ms. Snowden
You are really fantastic Laura ! I love all the detail you put into your dynamics, phrasing and tonal nuances ! Very profound and you always make the most of whatever piece you play !!!Sounds very inspired ! So nice to find out about your art ! All the best , Marc
Wonderful playing! A lovely piece! Well done... I’m a friend of Andrew York; have you performed any of his works? I also am a composer-jazz pianist. I wrote a piece commissioned by Gregg Nestor called “Introspections, Music For Two Classical Guitars”! This three-movement piece won the American Prize, Chamber Music Division In 2013. It was recorded by Gregg and Ray Burley (from England) and is on Cambria Records with transcriptions of works by Poulenc, Rosza, Debussy, Turina and Beaulieu. Interestingly, my piece is the only one on the record-entitled “Kaleidoscope”-written exclusively for two guitars. Again, let me state how much I enjoyed this performance and this piece! You are a consummate artist! 🎼👍🥰
This is so good! My guitar professor told me to " quit playing like a girl" once and this performance is the first thing I thought of...(after my ego-bruise healed a bit)
I saw her play a couple of years ago - absolutely spellbinding. Her dynamics are incredible - she did this ppp things where you just hear the left hand. I think she's the best out there right now...Bream's successor.
I've played this piece for years and your version, I can say from experience, is amazing. You might be interested to play some Dodgson. Wish you all the best.
Even the mimicry (especially the eyebrows) has a touch of Maestro Bream about it! But surely this sophisticated performance deserves his smile from above...
In this video there was an excellent guitar sound that i like to listen, plus there was an excellent technic and nuance, but the music that you played was not my tybe, however, i listened to it till the end. Of course, i prefer Bach guitar transcriptions, Barrios, Aguado, Scarlatti, Lauro , Tarrega, and many others. But as i said in the beginning of my comment, you are a giant artist.
I play and approach this piece very different in today’s culture a I feel triplets should be played as triplets not smears. Very nice playing none the less.
Nice to see a young talented playing playing a traditional guitar instead of those awful sounding double tops and the like. All of whom have very heavy basses with F#s that are way too loud. Congrats on your playing. Good interpretation. Good tone. Will follow you.

Very accomplished rendition of an important xx century work

Sensational rendition of this inspired piece. Top player, congratulations from Italy
Laura, this knocks me off my pants. Phantastic performance, very passionate and what a great tone in your fingers. Chapeau!!!
Absolutely amazing, was just recommending this music. This is such a beautiful version, amazing!
Wow! Great sound! You're absolutely expressive! Well done! Thanks for the music.
I love your playing, and I love how your face dances along with the music.
Congratulations, a masterwork, with a great sound
Laura is the real deal isn’t she?
Can’t wait to live concerts resume and she comes to Ireland.
She really is.
This performance of the Lennox Berkeley piece was superb. As good as the original performance by Julian Bream. Astonishing.
Where is such power hidden in the slim body? Bravo!!
What I like so much is that this is not actually my favourite piece of music, but you played it so well that I actually have come to love this rendition!
Here is one of the best guitarists around - anywhere.
WOW!!! What an amazing performance!! You are a most excellent guitarist!! Such passion!!👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
A great interpretation of this master piece. An outstanding musician.
Excellent performance! Thank you
Beautiful performance and what a lovely musician.

Bravo! Superb!
And what a great venue to play in!
Thanks for sharing, very well played
That's quite an accomplishment. Brava!
LOVED EVERY MOMENT
BRAVO!!!
she is charmingly expressive and plays with passion. Love it.
Wonderfully musical ... bravo!
You're a great master. Please, keep sharing!
Beautiful piece, beautiful interpretation, beautiful guitar, beautiful guitarist...

Well done. And such a cool piece. I first heard it on a Bream record years ago. First multi movement piece I ever worked up and performed.
Wonderful! Great job! Profund interpretation!
Great job! you nailed it! proud of you! I'm a fan now!
Really beautiful&musical interpretation!!!
absolutely amazing interpretation. dynamics wonderful.

Beautiful way of playing, really inspiring. Thanks :)
Finally a player who understands where it is about, great personal playing!
Astonishing facility, from this gifted and hard working, young performer !
I've just started (to try) playing this. This version is my gold standard.
absolutely marvellous playing. wonderful sound.
LOVE your interpretation, and playing that vision! When you started mvt III right in tempo, you killed it.
You are really fantastic Laura ! I love all the detail you put into your dynamics, phrasing and tonal nuances ! Very profound and you always make the most of whatever piece you play !!!Sounds very inspired ! So nice to find out about your art ! All the best , Marc
Great interpretation!!! +Laura Snowden
fabulous interpretation of my favourite guitar piece!!
Incredible sound! Bravo!
A beautiful performance.
Absolutely spellbinding!
simply my favorite guitar piece of all time.

So yeah, the new generation of guitarists are up to the task. Just wow.
bellissima interpretazione, complimenti Laura!!!
Fantastic!
Glorious playing. Brava.
fantastic interpretation!
I can see Rembrandt painting a masterpiece as you are playing yours.
I want to be sitting in a house with a fireplace reading a book or looking out the window on a good snowy day while you play guitar in the other room.
stunningly beautiful .
This is so good! My guitar professor told me to " quit playing like a girl" once and this performance is the first thing I thought of...(after my ego-bruise healed a bit)
Amazing! Congrats Laura
The human mind. How does it do this ? Both the writer and the performer; how ?!
I saw her play a couple of years ago - absolutely spellbinding. Her dynamics are incredible - she did this ppp things where you just hear the left hand. I think she's the best out there right now...Bream's successor.
Perfect! I've always loved how 'guitar-ish' these pieces are. You play with such commitment and determination, it's very inspiring!
Absolutely great!!!
Wonderful!
excelente interpretacion Laura
sooo good!
Brilliant!
I've played this piece for years and your version, I can say from experience, is amazing. You might be interested to play some Dodgson. Wish you all the best.
Thanks for reminding me of Stephen Dodgson. I haven't heard anything by him for ages.
Bravísimo, Laura.
Taught me a few things about the piece
your sound and timbre resembles the julian bream !
incredible!
Even the mimicry (especially the eyebrows) has a touch of Maestro Bream about it! But surely this sophisticated performance deserves his smile from above...
I believe Laura studied with Julian, but she has her own outstanding technique and musicality.
I think, better than bream.
The second movement is lovely ,some haunting sounds ,a bit like Bream at his best .
He must have given her the secret of his super creepy vibrato skills! Haha!
Brilliant.
Brillante Interpretación!!!!
What an orchestra!
Bravissima!!!
She has that Bream's touch. A true heir
Wunderbar ❤
I love your playing too.
SUPERB....A BIG BRAVOOOO....!
Great feeling
I do not have any of Lennox's works to read. but I am looking.
Excellent..
Nice a lot. Great!!
Terrific.....
Meravigliosa
11:40 is the best part of the piece.
Not the easiest piece in the repertoire---performed flawlessly!
It would be nice to know the make of guitar used here.-also in other guitar videos.
Every video I've seen she seems to be playing the same Christopher Dean - UK Luthier.
Great!
Superbe 🙏🙏
Great Performance!
ridiculously cool…
Wow.
Beautiful!!! Who is the guitar maker plz?
Christopher Dean - deanguitars.co.uk/

Muito lindo! 💖💖💖💖💖
what guitar is it ? i can see its a spruce top

Congrats on your playing. Good interpretation. Good tone. Will follow you.
