Finally, the first Blitz youtuber that actually speaks some sense regarding this, it is so greedily executed because unlike Marks of Excellence, you have to spend Free XP and Credits (the second and third hardest to earn currency, after gold), any 38%er can EVENTUALLY get a Mastery if they spam the tank enough times, so this system just implies "I spam this tank and spent resources to show it", unlike marks of excellence that say "I am Top 65/85/95% in this tank"
Free xp is only to unlock those perks in ranks 7, 9, and 11. And credits aren't that hard to obtain. Just grab a tank between tier 5 and 8 and you're ready to go. Nevertheless, this rank system is truly proposterous. I wish they would fovuse on other things like fixing the matchmaking.

You have to spend time getting masteries, spend credits to raise a rank, and elite experience, and it's doesn't even give you bonuses, at least give it like 50% credits after a battle at rank 50 This whole thing is pointless
True, it would be pretty cool if the higher you rank, the more boosts to XP, free xp and credit coefficient. It would make all the silver you spend for ranking up not useless since if you rank up a tank with an already massive credit coefficient, you'll get an even better silver farm.
I think this is not a good idea because after the update people will focuse on the higher level players so raging will be more common. Also I think skilled people won't level up they will stay at lower levels(they won't spend credits to level up) so others won't focuse them more. We should write a petition to cancel this.
Yeah that's right because I'm going to act like im leveling up by going up to my favorite number 13 then stopping because if you don't leveling up at all then that just means you're possibly someone who just doesn't rank up which means you can be looked at the same way you you'd look at a max level non prestige'd player on call of duty.
I'm most annoyed that it costs credits to level up. As it starts at 50k for level 1 and it looks like it increases by 1.4K per level after that, it will cost 4,125,000 credits to level a tank up to level 50. That's an obscene number of credits, especially for a free to play player such as myself.

I think the point of the ranks is not to show how good at the tank you are but how much experience you have with the tank. (As the video suggests, experience does not necessarily mean good.) I personally have no problem with them, but I think they are a nice addition to the game. Having a high rank just shows you think this tank is good and fun to play.
Also, about the whole "credits and Free XP are hard to get thing" : 2-3 years ago, it took alot of effort to get to Tier X, and even more to purchase the tank. Now, any F2P player can get a Tier 10 in two weeks. There are so many ways to get XP, from watching ads to refresh the x2 XP on each tank. Clan missions and the BP give you loads of X3 and credits. And on top of all of that, Clan levels give you a tier 8 tank for 1.5k gold that makes good credits, discounts on purchasing tanks and better clan rewards for the missions. I am a F2P player, and in my garage I have 15 Tier X's, 10 Tier VIII premiums for which I have all gotten from events, and countless lower tier premiums that I do not even play any more. The state of the economy in Blitz is the best it has been for the game's lifespan. For those of you who complain about not having enough premium tanks and resources, it seems apparent that it is a Skill issue for you folks.
The experience you earn on each elite tank can actually be used to improve crew skill with some credit. I think use it on crew skill is way more useful as it actually does make your tank better and affect game play.
Could they not have just implemented the marks of excellence??? Having your 3rd mark actually shows you have experience with that tank and feels like an achievement. It also is visible on your gun barrel, and it counts as actual clout.
Wargaming can make it so when you reach a certain level on this you get as a reward an attachment one mark of excellence then two then three like its not that hard just make it acumalitive attachment
No ? who cares about having these marks if the system behind to get them is completely pointless ? It makes no sense, everyone with enough time invested will have 3 marks with this shitty system. Marks of Excellence needs to have exactly the same system as the PC version, which is being better than 55%/80%/95% of players in terms of damage in the previous 2 weeks.
In my mind they could have just done it like a attachment like thing that they give to you, because in the game enemies can see attachments so how hard can it be to make an attachment that will be like the lines on the barrel in wot pc.
Another way for them to get you to spend money IMO, as said below "Why do you have to spend credits", don't they already have rankings? Change the maps around so it's not so easy for the true hardcores to sit and farm damage as most go to same spots every game. Droodles, to answer your question about why wargaming decided to have players use both Elite XP and credits in order to increase your rank is due to the fact that wargaming wants to “MAKE THIS WHOLE RANK SYSTEM BASED ON MONEY”! what do i mean by this? wargaming released some bundles for insane amounts of credits but for GOLD, the idea is that when this rank system comes out players who are low on credits or just need raw credits can buy credits for GOLD* aka buy credits with money in order to up their tanks rank or to get a new vehicle.
The fact that my eight masteries were made by luck throughout eight years of playing really shows how skilled I am. can't wait being called names by someone playing only a year and having hundreds of them. 😒

If you notice sometimes when an enemy dies it shows "droodles+batchat destroyed fatness" instead of just "droodles destroyed fatness". This is the destroyed assist feature.
in my opinion. I agree with droodles because after I watch the trailer of this ranking. I was thinking that if you play a match and see someone has a higher rank you will probably know that he's a pro or smart player but what if he's a troller right. That's what Im thinking right now.
Since the sistem doesn't give any practical advantage whatsoever I really don't think I'll pay credits (which do have a use) just to get a sticker that doesn't even show actual skill
I don't complain about new content frequently but.well spending credits to show off tank statistics that are already available in the account statistics with no reward whatsoever is like spending money to show off how much money you have except unlike buying stuff in the store you don't get any rewards such as camos or attachments to the specific tank that you spent much time playing with.. let's take the avatars for example. you get a more fancy looking avatar for how many top gun/kolobanov's/high caliber medals you have or how many games you have win in gravity or uprising.and for camos you get one every week by doing clan missions. so what about a camo that is unlockable only on the tanks that you reach rank 50 on or something to at least get rewarded for the effort you put into playing the tank
This ranking system is useless... I'd rather judge someone's skill using WN8, Damage per Battle, WR etc etc all within 30/90/carreer days... It's more accurate to judge if that person have actual skill rather than spamming the same fkin tank 80k times but dies a lot
I would've made it so that to get to the next rank after earning a certain amount of xp you need to average a certain damage and winrate for the number of battles corresponding to your rank. e.g at tier 10, to go to rank 5 you'd average say 2200 damage and 55%+ to go up a rank, for rank 40 the same averages but for 40 battles. It'd show that you're consistently playing above average in your tank and aren't just spamming it over and over again.

A much better system would be Put Golden Stars on top of your Tank, based on your win rate. 50%-55% : One Star. 55%-60% : 2 Stars. 60%-65% : 3 Stars. 65%-70% : 4 Stars. And over 70% WR : 5 Stars. If your WR is below 50% , No Stars!!! But a requirement to start earning stars is that you must have fought at least 5,000 battles....... so re-rolling accounts will not work!!!!
As a player who is still actively trying to unlock new tanks, I do not have the credits to buy the pointless ranks. Does that mean that I am bad at the game, no. Does that mean that randoms will think I am, yes. This is unwanted, unneeded and improperly implemented.

While I disagree with the system behind using credits and free XP especially to level up a player's rank, not to mention that it is a Giant "Shoot Me if you want to win" sign, one thing that many of you do not seem to realize is no matter what type of skill representation system, it will always give the "focus sign" that we all dread. I do not believe that an kind of skill representation system should be implemented since it is very difficult to prevent good players from being tunneled.

uhm guys i dont know if other players are affected by this but every i win a game or do anything like shoot someone down after the battle this pop ups show up telling me i completed a mission while there's nothing on the mission tab that indicates a completion of a mission a bug perhaps? not quite sure this has been happening since yesterday.
They giving us smailey face, snow launcher and some attachments for tanks, surely they can give you a mark of excellence attachment only for that tank.. Or just give a historic camo made for that tank with star or stripes, mark 1, mark 2 mark 3 camos.. Lots of ways WG can do it..
I am so disappointed! I thought I could finally show off how good I am in my Tiger 2 but I realized that the rank system doesn't show that. Let's say I get to rank 50 in a month. A 25 percenter will get to rank 50 eventually even if it takes a year or two. So it literally doesn't show how good your skill is. Just how many games you play 😭😭 Let's all join together and try to make Wargaming add a REAL ranking system that shows skill.
Doodles you should have mentioned that you need mastery badges to level up to the higher ranks....getting mastery badges does take skill...video didn't age well. I haven't played the game for 6 months popped in, this new mechanic was in the game and started a quest to see what it was about

How is this stupid rank system going to affect gameplay and grinding? Plus, we just got robbed with the T77, shoved right into crates as soon the ranks were close to release. Any ranking should only be seen by allies, and only by red team at the end of the game.

I am so disappointed! I thought I could finally show off how good I am in my Tiger 2 but I realized that the rank system doesn't show that. Let's say I get to rank 50 in a month. A 25 percenter will get to rank 50 eventually even if it takes a year or two. So it literally doesn't show how good your skill is. Just how many games you play 😭😭 Let's all join together and try to make Wargaming add a REAL ranking system that shows skill.

Doodles you should have mentioned that you need mastery badges to level up to the higher ranks....getting mastery badges does take skill...video didn't age well. I haven't played the game for 6 months popped in, this new mechanic was in the game and started a quest to see what it was about
They should pull it off and think again for the community to agree with don't you think!?

The way I see it is that it’s pointless and the only tank I put it on is my favorite and I’m glad they added that you have to have a certain amount of masteries but yea idk why it’s here

Not good, everyone will trash the low wr players, making the game more toxic.
When i play on my pc im always stuck at battle loading screen for some time. But when i play on my phone its fine.
Saw a guy with 84k games in the E100 and a 43% wr in it😭
I found a guy who had 25k games in the y5 firely. That was his highest tier tank.
Spend those elite xp on crew skills it's more useful

How is this stupid rank system going to affect gameplay and grinding? Plus, we just got robbed with the T77, shoved right into crates as soon the ranks were close to release. All im just gonna do is just play and forget that rank even exists, cuz I'm not expending too much credits and XP on one aesthetic.
Seems too complicated for people to care and seems just dumb. Like you say it's not anything to do with skill just to do with how many games you have in the tank.
