Kandy was part of AjA's drag family, after all, so it'd be fun to see the two of them lip-sync against each other. And for it to be used for Jessica, who had what looked to be the same jiggly breastplate that her best friend Yara Sofia used on the talent show last year, was... an interesting choice. Maybe they wanted to keep the narrative of JIMBO struggling to get a lip-sync win going, who knows. But I agree, that lip-sync was over the second Jessica revealed the breastplate. And then Ra'Jah didn't have a breastplate, and also in general seemed like she was throwing it.

The choice of the outfit, wig and breast plate was actually an homage to a famous Spanish actress/singer/sex worker La Veneno! She was probably the most famous trans person in Spain’s pop culture at the time and a champion of the queer people. I didn’t know about her until researching Jessica’s look in this lip sync, so I think her intention was to educate the next generation of LGBTQ+ people on a person in queer history
For me Kahanna versus Aja was a photo finish. On first watch I was like “I have no clue who won this”. Rewatching, I think Kahanna was a bit better for me. She served face and gave that Beyoncé essence while Aja was doing what Aja does.
I don’t know why people get mad when Ru says “and your performances all season long”, so you just wanna discredit all the work and effort the queens have put in during the entire competition and base the win on a single lipsync? That’s not fair at all to me, in any way, and completely defeats the point of having a competition in the first place.
