Bro this is insane. Congratulations for the effort and for taking this hobby to a new level, open for any enthusiast out there. From an astrophotographer to another astrophotographer , these projects warm my heart. We are truly living in the Golden Era of amateur space photography. 👏
If you cant remember the building numbers, Just put the number of the building on the front door, But make the numbers look wicked cool!!! Take it up a notch! Keep up the amazing work you guys are doing!!
lol that bottle had a mind of it's own! Giggling aside, I think you're absolutely smashing it Bray! You're building something very special out there, and I predict you'll continue to grow ever bigger and stronger! You're a credit to your family and community my friend! Clear Skies from Wes, Liverpool, England.
If the buildings can't be distinguished from one another so easily, maybe color code them or otherwise do something that makes them distinguishable from a distance.
I can't wait until I can figure out how to get my scope out there. The cost of shipping is crazy and I don't trust any carrier to NOT f-up my stuff. I'm trying to talk the wife into a VA to TX road trip.
my setup shipping cost close to $400, including insurance and tracking. Not terrible compared to saving you an 18 hours road trip. You will also need to make sure your boxes are secure and well packaged
@rami_astro I think my Mach1 and counterweights would probably cost $400. Plus, I'd need to pay for the case to get shipped back. It's a heavy ATA case.
Crazy how this has democratized *remote* access to dark skies for so many people. Unfortunately also what has turned me off from astrophotography now for a large part. Like one can go just one step further and download the Hubble or JWST data for free, right? I’m only 20, but as I’m growing old (crazy coming from 20yo ik!) I’m realizing where the actual sense of satisfaction is. And that is experiencing this amazing night sky with your own eyes. I hope some day soon I’m able to afford a car and be able to make trips to some darker skies out of this bortle 9 pollution, and immerse myself in the night sky under the stars… 🌌

Make a note of the water bottle pier
Ill get my h2o filter ready
Do you have a distribution (histogram) of the various devices in use? (By manufacturer, specs, etc?)
a burst of color when i saw all of the telescopes and im just in awe of those gigantic telescopes
insane growth!
Congrats!
That water bottle is gonna be in that pier until the end of time 😅
Can't wait to get my rig out there. Still have a few small items on order but it will be complete by the end of the month.
That is quite literally only the second delta ro I’ve seen in the wild!! Kind of making me want to try one!!
Mine in building 3 was installed in 18 hours after dropping it off. I used it the next night. I couldn't see it in the video though.

A suggestion, you could add some inside temperature/humidity sensors and post the data on the status page.
Amazing.
What's the logic behind putting the most reflective material on the interior walls of the observatories?!

You'll need to include return shipping into the calculation as well . I'm guessing people aren't going to leave their gear on site forever.
What's your current internet bandwidth?
