  • The Wood Ox or Yi Chou (乙丑) calls up the image of the end of Winter. The snow still lies thick on the ground… soft, melting snow. Here and there, tiny little hardy green shrubs are poking their early leaves through the ground. As we continue wandering the last of the winter wonderland together, we stumble upon a rare sight - a low-growing shrub of bright orange pansies in full bloom, their velvety colours a burst of sunshine against the pristine white snow. It has not just survived the winter, but thrived. How hardy does this plant need to be? That’s the stand-out quality of the Yi Chou - Resilience!
    In this Bazi 60 Pillars series, let me take you through a journey of discovery with the Wood Ox or Yi Chou - your strengths, vulnerabilities to be aware of, how you present to the world at large, and some suggestions to be Yi Chou, but better.
    However, to find out your Day Master, your MUST plot your Bazi Chart. Please feel free to use any of the free online bazi plotters on the internet. My recommended plotter (registration required): www.joeyyap.com/bzchart. You only need the Date of Birth. Time of birth is not necessary for this exercise. Please use your date of birth following the Gregorian Calendar.

      Yup, you got it exactly right... it's called the Day Master and it refers to the core of the person.

    at 3:58 you say that the Yi Wood day master has "no roots." Can you explain the concepts behind this statement? How do you tell if the Stem is not rooted in the Branch? I'm getting a lot out of these explanations. Thank you for sharing!

    • @PaulynneCheng
      @PaulynneCheng  2 года назад

      basically, it means we don't find another Yi Wood element in the earthly branch of the pillar itself

    Is there particular time frame Yi Chou can be born in like october November , or March April ? Or any particular Chinese zodiac connection to Yi Chou mostly ?
    My question is for some research if you help . Thanx

      Hi Sachin! Better in Spring as the season supports the Day Master. From a purely technical standpoint, preferable not to be born in October (Dog Month). But I'd advice you to look at the chart in totality before coming up with a firm diagnosis.

      @@PaulynneCheng just looking at day pillar you can predict or judge the month of birth ? Without looking at month pillar ?

      @@niftybankniftyastrology18o22 For a complete stranger? No, it's not possible. But if you know the person or have had some conversation with them... and you know what qualifying questions to ask... then yes, it's possible to 'guesstimate'. But I would not recommend you do that - should always look at the chart in full.
