📌I was very disappointed from the construction of this mower with a little child's toy electric motor and gear system.
🤦I bought it thinking it has the same brushless motor as the PRMA 40 Li-A2🤷
Mine has the same motor and it works fine. It cuts everything as long as the shoot on the back is not clogged.
The a1 and A2 had bigger engine the A3 and B3 are with this small nothing, The a1, A2 engine is now in performance version, cost cutting and selling you the same thing in another package at its finest. I got A2 and performance model.

This thing sounds quite rough in my opinion. Also doesn't seem to have much power, but that's to be expected, seeing the tiny motor. They write "brushless" all over the box, but in reality, I have yet to see my brushed Makita mower (DLM382) stalling on me, and I sometimes have to mow 40cm tall grass with it. As long as the blade is sharp, it won't draw much battery either. Plus, the blade is directly driven by the motor, eliminating more noise and failure points. It's another price range, though. But for smaller gardens with not too tall grass, the Parkside should be fine.

What exactly did you expect from a 100€ mower? It's working fine for me last 3 years....
Be carefull about different battery drainage between both of them. Better to use Smart 8Ah batteries with lowest voltage setup to like 2.8-3.0V..
Здравейте, какво се прави когато ножа се затъпи? Предлагат ли се ножове и от къде се купуват? Спрял съм се и аз на косачка на батерии от Парксайд защото имам 150км трева.
Не се затъпвяват лесно и може да го заточите със ъглошлайф и диск за шкуряване. Според мен върши добра работа🙂

I think all the motors in the parkside brand are rubbish now. They were coming up to be a good hard working bran,but not now. It's a pity really it looks like a really good mower. Shame the motors are weak.

#ErCanEverything Today my old 36V (42V) battery powered lawnmower broke down. I have already bought a Parkside 40V lawnmower, I am wondering if it is possible to power it directly from the 36V batteries that I already have (I have 2 x 8Ah batteries left from another lawnmower). I know that Parkside uses 2 x 20V and has an additional pin. If you know if it is possible to run this lawnmower on a 36V battery from another manufacturer I would be very grateful for your help. I see that you are a specialist in this topic, I would be grateful for an answer whether it is possible at all.

I have a performance version of the mower. I am very satisfied there is no vibration even it is self-propelled although I do not use it. I don't know the size of the engine but it has a lot of power
I didn't even think that there would be such a bad modification, but at least future buyers will have an idea🙂
Do you think that's what the A and B designations mean in Parkside tools...: quality of components..?

Glad I watched this before I bought it. It's in Lidl now and was considering it.
The first mowing of the year was difficult for this machine, but on the second it did excellently, I am satisfied for now, but I bought it thinking that it is without unnecessary gearboxes.

Това беше първото косене за тази година и предния ден заваля дъжд. Но днес след 1 седмица пак косих, и се справи по добре и успях да кося същата площ със половин заряд на батериите.
@@ErCanEverything Moята се развали за има няма 2 месеца. Модел 20V с една батерия. Усещам как превключвателя включва, но моторчето не тръгва. Дано имате повече късмет от мен.

So can you find a better battery mower in this price range?
Definitely not new, but you should be able to get an old Bosch Rotak or Makita mower used for cheap. That's how I prefer it, I'd rather get something good in used condition, rather buying something new that will break soon anyway.
Did you try the 4 battery performance model? Model is PPRMA 40Li-A1. It uses 4 batteries at once and I read good things about that one. It's not that cheap tho, nearly 300€ when not in offer.
I was going to buy one with 4 batteries but because I have a small area and decided not to spend extra money and it turned out to be a complete failure🤦
@@ErCanEverything If you end up getting the performance one, I'd love to see what's inside (motors and stuff). I've seen just a couple videos but the construction seemed quite robust. Painted steel body and all. I recently got the 40v scarifier and it's quite decent.

I do understand that, but this is a Business riks you have to sometimes take.
I just bought one of these as I have a tiny back yard. I got the last one from Lidl and cleaned them out of batteries and chargers.
I look at this as a maintenance mower. not something to go cutting 100mm long grass. I'm getting a bloke to come over with a petrol mower the give it a close shave and this should "fingers crossed" be okay for the rest of the year.
I have no idea what version my one is but I had the choice of 2ah or 4ah 20 volt batteries. The Lidl website here in the US was very vague in the description of the mower as it said 40v but they only had 20v batteries in the store. It was only after I found it listed back in the UK that I saw it takes 2 20v batts. The mower cost me $100 so if it lasts longer than a year I'll be happy.
Over here, it's at least 4-500$ to get a battery powered mower.
