No one can ever live up to Sherie's Ursula, but she sounds really distracted in this one, as if she's bored. She seems as if she has more energy in her other performances. I still adore her though, especially her belt.

I didn't like The Little Mermaid when i was little because i felt it was more for girls, but as i got older I started to show more appreciation for it. I wish this song was in the movie. Best part of the play.
I feel like she's trying to rush through the song and she seems really tired I still love her

Having just watched a video of Sherie performing this song during Pre-Broadway tryouts, I feel like by this point in time Sherie was not giving it her all. Almost like she was just going through the motions . . . but her belt is still fabulous! :) Still love her.
Isn't it amazing that this is family show yet they had the balls to put the words "aphrodisiac" and "damn" in there?

for me, i would prefer the denver pre-broadway trial, 'cause it is more slower and more dramatic but when it comes to costumes i love the broadway one.

This song reminds me of Peter Pan Live when Hook was singing about the poisoned cake.

her voice is absolutely phenomenal, but I really felt like she was disconnected with the song. As if she was just bored, singing through it and going through the basic choreography

All that belting at the end, ohGod I feel like a nobody when I hear her chest voice.
There was something familiar about her delivery style and somewhat midatlantic-ish enunciation, then I realized she's doing a deadpan Joan Crawford as Ursula here. :-)
Oo, that's interesting that Ursula wants to steal Ariel's voice as part of her revenge...
It's weird to think that she also played Amneris in Aida... but anyway she's fantastic in every part she plays! :)
