I think what I like most about the hand-raising is that they're pretty much like curious children on a field trip, simply eager to learn about new things. Their intent is so innocent, it really adds to the simple hilarity of the moment.
And they hardly ever say much, it's nice to let so much of the dialogue be from the Citizens, even the couple with the baby get to be in the drivers seat over our protagonists who have been driving the story forward, it's a very nice subversion
We all know the best part of Xenoblade 3's ending is THAT photo. I think my favorite scenes from chapter 1 to 4 are the same scenes as yours, but my favorite scene from chapter 5 is the whole sequence from the prison break to the end of the chapter. My favorite scene from episode 6 is from the beginning of the chapter to Shania's suicide, but I think the scene with Noah and his son stands out. My favorite scene from Chapter 7 is also the end of the game but in a tie with the fight against N.
If it weren't for the Miyabi scene, I definitely would've had the flashback with N and Ms child as the favorite, 100%. Especially with more Future Redeemed context it hits harder. Part of me wishes Sena's Side Story was mandatory for the Shania content because I for sure would've had her. Shania's been my favorite 3 antagonist for the longest, only difference now is that N is tied with her
I noticed a lot of Mio scenes you picked. Mio is my favorite character in the game as she imo, has the deepest character development. For chapter 5, I was shocked the jail sequence wasn’t mentioned. The jail sequence is easily my favorite Xenoblade moment of all time, especially when Mio’s personality changed when she just accepting that her death is near, but the maternity scene is a fantastic pick regardless. Also hearing a step away while the others trying to break out of jail is a heartbreaking scene, but very well played. Thank god you picked Mio’s side story and her relationship with Miyabi. However I would have mentioned N’s breakdown as an honorable mention. That sequence is heartbreaking
I totally get how Mio could be your favorite character. She's super in-depth and potent in just all areas. Extremely compelling and well-writtien as well without having to be so heavy-handed or disturbed by weird dev desires to only make female characters shine when people with sense know that they shine when you just write them well and naturally like any other character needs to be and they'll get the proper appreciation lol. Chapter 5 I was REALLY close to choosing the jail sequence, but I really highly hold the impact of The City on the characters and that moment was just precious all around and so many new expressions, emotions, spoken and unspoken were shown off in a manner it was too hard to pass up, plus all the things I mentioned in the video. Similar deal with the Miyabi scene but I really think Miyabi is so incredibly important not just to Mio but to the whole concept of the Offseer, view of the world, and so much more. 100% the greatest Offseer to ever live in my eyes. And I also see what you mean about N's breakdown being an honorable mention, I would've but I really had to hold myself back because I could rant so long about so many of these scenes LOL, so I had to give myself some kind of limit so the video also wouldn't be an hour long 🤐
@@MetaSF_ yeah that's fair. N's Breakdown and the end, there's no contest that Z's defeat would be the best. The ending to XB3 is my favorite moment in the entire series. Unfortunately chapter 7 could have been better written as there was just those two scenes listed and somehow X and Y don't have a cutscene after their defeat. Btw I discovered your channel yesterday because you make very good xenoblade content, as xenoblade is my favorite game series :)

I think I agree with your lost for the most part. Except for chapter 5. I cannot express how much I adore the prison scene. It made me cry and was just perfect. From the team trying to break out(very in character even to throwing Sena up to try the bars) to Mio calling Noah by his name. Just *chefs kiss*
The game is truly special to me. Few games express a theme and message as complex as this and have it resonate.
I know some people didn't care for the "daily prison life" part and I'm always like, duh you're in prison it isn't supposed to be fun LOL. But I agree that whole section is super good, I'm a big Ghondor fan so even all of her words to try and inspire them even if harshly, were a treat for me.
And you're completely right, this game does an excellent job not only in its characterization and expression of their selves, but also it's bigger and smaller themes that all show so well in all aspects of the game's integration whether it be main story, hero quests, side quests, or straight up battle quotes. Such a treat. Playing it I really just was hoping that by the end I'd be happy, and I really was

Trust me I get where you're coming from 100% and thats absolutely an S tier scene but man, I had to follow my heart on this one 🤭. The level of respect I hold the entire concept and importance of the Offseer and their impact on the world and people are so high, it extends beyond any singular strong character or moments, it was too good to pass up. Dont worry I feel you though lol

Chapter 2: Destroying the Flame Clock in Colony 4.
Chapter 3: Agnian Ouroboros
Chapter 4: Mio punching O and P
Chapter 5: all of it.
Chapter 6: All of the Beginning of Chapter 6
Chapter 7: Final Battle against N
When you realize Mio having a good punch makes sense cause she's Matthew's great grandmother (well M is but you get what I mean)

These are all phenomenal choices, some of my favorite cutscenes in the game. Im glad that you highlighted multiple cutscenes from Chapter 4 instead of just one, since that chapter is so dense with phenomenal moments; I have practically half of that chapter's cutscenes favorited in my Event Theatre.
I think the only cutscene I disagree with Chapter 6. I would have to be basic and pick something from the "top-heavy" opening half, specifically the scene Noah summons the Sword of Origin. Noah got exactly one swear in the entire game, and he did NOT waste it. xD
The hardest part about this video, was trying to keep it down on the ties lol, I had one more set of a tie but cut it down, would start to put a damper on the concept imo with so many you know. But glad you like the choices and chapter 4 for SURE is dense with a myriad of moments, it's a fantastic turning point in the game. I can't blame you for the chapter 6 pick either, Noah was NOT having any of that after he got Mio back. I just got his so hard by that Miyabi scene cause I have such a high respect for the concept of the Offseer, but Chapter 6 has so much I'm surprised the Nia fanboys haven't come in the comments yet 🤐
You should make a video explaining what you think the best scene in each chapter from Xenoblade 2 and Xenoblade DE are too
I really would like to, I thought about doing 2 next a little differently by having what I think the best scene in the whole game is as a separate video and if people like it enough do one for every chapter like this video is formatted, 1's would for sure be the same way if people end up liking that format better. Still thinkin about it though, might do a poll
I actually really like that you highlight and talk about these more underrated cutscenes. Too busy healing over the stab to the heart that is the evil ch5 ending to really understand the Miyabi story lol

But I'm glad you enjoy the breakdowns, I really loved the Miyabi storyline and how much she meant for the figure of the Offseer in their world. But I totally understand still reeling from the ch5 close right into ch6 intro 🤭

@@Cochu GG, for me I had Fiona with me against Z. I love Miyabi so so much but I honestly am just as big a fan of Fiona. They're both tied for my #1 Hero. It used to be Fiona uncontested but over time Miyabi rose even more and now here we are lol
I have honestly been shipping Noah and Mio since the first trailer dropped in February of 2022. Eunie and Taion is my second favourite ship.
Edit: Noah’s VA played Xenoblade 3 and when the line “how babies are made” came up, he burst into laughter.
I actually never watched Harry play XC3, I knew he streamed it but I honestly wasn't interested but I know he had to have a lot of interesting things to say. And I completely forgot I watched that trailer with the baby scene LOL, I'm pretty good about getting rid of memories if I want to. I just really appreciate them taking their time with the relationship of Noah and Mio and even others in this game, so much care
