Basically any country whose doors aren't open to the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. These countries may be war torn, or politically unstable. Here is some more information. www.samaritanspurse.org/operation-christmas-child-countries/hard-to-reach-areas/ -Nathan Robb
If my box is shipped to a "sensitive/hard to reach country" and it has a tracking label, do I get to know which country it goes to? Or, do I just get to know it went to some hard-to-reach place?
She didn’t do a good job explaining that part of the process. She meant prohibited items like breakables, liquids, food, seed, medicine, military-themed items, and weapons. When they remove something, they try to replace it with stuff that are donated for that purpose (filler items).
Is everything I put in my box going to reach my child? As long as no inappropriate items? Will anything b taken from my box and put into another? Thanks
Yes, Absolutely, Unless something is identified as inappropriate in the box, volunteers at the processing center are trained to keep the boxes as intact as possible, Nothing else is removed. If a box seems less than full, they have items that can be added to boxes, but the boxes aren’t changed in any way.
Have you ever been to one of the Shoebox Processing Centers?
This is a phenomenal informational video. I hope to volunteer at a distribution center some day.
It is a great experience 😃

Do have a processing center here in central London UK, so I can volunteer too
I believe there are just the 8 processing centers inside of the USA. -Nathan R

Hi Lisa! If you send a box with a tracking label and it goes to a hard to reach location, the email you get will say “hard to reach area”.
What did the girl mean when she said if there is a special item in the box it’s removed?
Where in the video did she say that?

I was wondering the same thing.
