I know. I think I'm getting married in City Hall cuz I literally have one friend, and my parents are gone. It would be so tiny. But I think a lot of them invited people are Facebook "friends" and the bride and groom put on a show because they care about what ppl think about them. I ain't spending $20 thousand to feed people and put on a show

It's the community and the church. Believe me when I say this but going to church has so many benefits. The sense of community is on another level. The back up, the help and some even help you out in financial crisis. My church congregation has around thousand members and whenever there's a marriage or some event, the support is massive. Even in funerals people help you out with finances. Our church does this thing where if someone dies, we help that family with food (prepared by a different family each day) every single day for 30 days. It's not that they don't have food but to give them this sense of support.

My husband and I used that song for the lighting of our unity candle! We got married 15 years ago next week. We also used Carol Ann from the same album during the prelude music to honor a family that is like family to us, the Hackler/Osborne/Garner/Purcar family. The matriarch's name is Carol.

Thanks for having respect for the sanctity of marriage. I was waiting for the the cringe moment when they do something corny/cute/silly/different. Didn't happen!!! Yes!
