I'm 24 yrs old girl . Till now I didn't learn dance. But I have regret of not learning bharatanatyam. As I'm not earning now, I can't afford to learn. Now I'm so happy, that I got a guru. Today I completed 2 videos. I can clearly understand what u r saying thank u so much guru. As a beginner I m not perfect. But I'll practice more.

I was practicing Bharatnatyam since I was 5 years old. It was my passion. But with time, increasing pressure of work made me move away from dance. I started learning the dance form at the age of 4 but due to unfortunate events that took place and which adversly effected my health, I was forced to stop learning..
For a long period of time, I used to curse my fate.. but now after long 16 years , I restarted my passion.
I still believe I'll be able to complete my dream to learn bharatanatyam and continue to learn dance forever....

I learned bharatnatyam for 6 yrs, when i got introduced to it , i hated it bcz i made my mom promise me that she will enroll me in dance classes. hip hop dance 😋was in my mind , bcz i used to watch tv shows . U don't know after a year or so i got so 😍 in it . I developed a talent, discipline lots of love to dance in group . Unfortunately 😔 by 10th grade by dancing routine stopped dur to exams it been 5-4 yrs gap nd 11 $ 12 science stream so u know ... But even today i remember the mudras, tadavu beats ,1 st group dance which i learned ( pushpanjali) . By gods grace once again i will start bharatnatyam again... Bcz those beats r still by heart 💓💯

If it's hurting there will be below mistakes.
1. Incorrect posture.
2. Dancing without warm up.
3. Wrong Aaramandi position.
If all of this right your body just need to get use to it and it won't happen like a magic you need to give it time with dedication.

I m at the age of 32, i had a desire to learn indian classical dance, my school did not had it as a subject. All these years studies was the main focus, finally i m able to complete my studies, married n have a kid... Now all of sudden a desire to learn dance seems ringing my mind again n again. N i m still feeling helpless where to begin with. Just then was searching your channel n got you subscribed, i have no one in touch who knw even little about this classical form, y is in north india learning classical dance r not given much importance??? I m sure gonna learn this... Be it on youtube or even going to ne class. But amid lockdown online is the best way to begin with. Plz encourage me n help me to easily learn this beautiful form.

I actually learned bharatanatyam when i was in school for like 5-6 years. But then completely abandoned, I'm not exactly into dancing tho, i just enjoy watching them. But years later, i gained weight and lost strength (because of excess starving thinking i would loss weight, it was in the end of highscool days)
And now I'm not that much fat but i didn't lose fat from certain parts light exp thigh.. and I'm so weak, so i thought of exercising but my body won't move as I wish, i tried dancing to random songs just jumping and all but still felt like body isn't getting anything what my brain is saying. And in the end i thought I'll do bharatanatyam maybe my body will respond to it as I've learned them for years.. but dude i can't even sit on aramandalam😔 legs kept on shaking and couldn't lift leg according to the thalam.. but still my body still feel ease.
