My build is different but more annoying.
Slot 1:
Silver Edge for quick escape and debuff. Sometimes blink dagger if I want to play as an aggressive setter.
Slot 2:
Hurricane Pike for quick escape, to maintain a safe space, or to close the gap between me or my allies and the target. Sometimes Wind Walker for more mobility and easy escape or for capturing enemies while waiting for my allies to come.
Slot 3:
Bloodthorn just to silence enemies and assist my teammates.
Slot 4:
Aether Lens for longer cast range. I'm glad it can now be upgraded to Ethereal blade coz that's more survivability for me.
Slot 5:
Linken's Sphere so I don't get caught easily. Sometimes Octarine if I want faster CD on my skills.
Slot : 6
Always Boots of Travel.
Neutral Item:
Anything that can increase my cast range. Telescope is my favorite coz it increases both cast range and attack range.
Skill build.
I always try to prioritize Poison Sting and Plague Ward. 1 point to Venomous Gale at early levels is fine just to slow enemies. Put points to Poison Nova whenever possible.
Talents:
-5s Venomous Gale CD
-1s Plague Ward CD
Gale creates Plague Wards
2.5x Plague Ward HP/Damage
My gameplay is hit and run and kiting. I don't care if my allies get the kills, I just fill the screen with as many plague wards as I can just to annoy and tilt my enemies. It's more fun than actually getting kills. Even more fun if you win the game while being so annoying. Hahhaha

Sorry if my build is too annoying to deal with for basic players like you. Maybe you're used to a right click afk braindead gameplay venomancer. My build employs mind-game to outplay enemies. You can waste your time hoping to catch me while my teammates get busy ray-ping your entire team.

Very weak hero, if you are ganked you are dead, no defense or escape, damage over time takes too long sometimes.
I don't know if I would buy the Maelstrom. I would go directly Parasma and then Kaya&Sange and maybe blink because there are too many mobile heroes who can catch you off guard.
PS: OK so I've done a match. Better is to get the Dragon Lance and Which Blade first, for range and more damage. After you upgrade them into Huricane Pike and Parasma and add the Kaya & Sange as an option if not bkb. I would add the Arcane Blink at the end, it adds more damage to Parasma in fact and huge mobility.

It's good on lanes giving the enemies carry a hard time, that's the main purpose of picking this hero.

Actually not a very strong hero and one of the least favorite. But a very cool and informative video. On our platform, you can take on cool challenges in DOTA 2 💪

What's that new green item do?
Doing witch blade thing. Every 9 seconds, Your auto attack deals INT based damage over time and Slows enemy 25% for 4 seconds.
and Your every auto attack will apply -20% magic resistance to enemy.
for stats, 45 INT,
1.5 Mana Regen,
6 Armor,
40 Attack Speed,
300 Projectile Speed
