Great content Jake, as a ‘very’ amateur guitar builder, (I’m in my 60’s and only built 4 acoustics) I love to see a real luthier prepared to share their experience and tips. I like your innovative ideas and wood choices too. I put an arm bevel and belly relief on my last build and will definitely do it again and use some of your tips. Keep the ‘behind the scenes content coming please. Thanks and good luck at the show.
Thanks very much, I'm glad these videos are of some use to you! If there's any details you like me to talk about in future videos just let me know and I'll try and include them
Thanks for reply Jake, hope the show was a success for you yesterday. As for you comment about content. I guess like most amateurs the biggest struggle I have is the voicing. I realise experience is key but when only building a few guitars it takes a while. Any tips on ‘basic’ voicing techniques and how to know when to stop would be good. I feel I leave too much on the bars in fear of weakening the top and so don’t get the best out of it. Thanks and keep it coming. Mal
Best of luck with the show. The Baritone looks sick!
