- Hi Friends, Welcome to spring days in the life with as we shop Walmart's Spring decor and garden supplies, plant 2 travelers palms in the backyard, work in the garden, March garden tour and an easy, healthy, creamy pasta dinner idea that has lots of protein and is plant based.

Rigatoni
2 cans cannellini beans, drained
3/4 cup nutritional yeast
1 handful walnuts
2 - 3 cloves minced garlic
1/8 cup olive oil
1-2 cups chopped kale
Juice from 1/2 lemon
salted pepper to taste
Pasta of your choice (I used Rigatoni)
While pasta is cooking,
Saute garlic, walnuts and kale in the olive oil for a about 5 minutes
Then add to blender along with nutritional yeast, beans and lemon juice and blend until it is as chunky or creamy as you like. If it's too thick, add a bit of pasta water to thin out your sauce.

Florida is beautiful for growing I'm in desert I couldn't grow here! I have tried several different things including several different flowers!
Aww, raised beds and pots and adding cow manure or compost has really helped improve the sandy soil here. A lot of Florida doesn’t have the best quality soil but the warmer winter has made it possible to continue gardening and then the summer is often too hot and humid for a lot of things in the garden. The soil cost more than I would have liked , the raised beds cost a little less because Mike was able to build them
