Omg this kit is fantastic. I see what you’re saying about the colours in her skin and agree it doesn’t quite match up with the artwork but in the diamond painting itself I really love it. It adds to the drama of the piece. You mentioned you started at the bottom and worked your way up. Do you work on it upside down or do you work right side up and let the part you’ve worked on rest in your lap? Thanks!!
I’m new to diamond painting and still figuring out what makes me tick. I generally pick more colorful canvases, but I love the contrast in colors here. It’s going on my wishlist!
This camesout well and you’re right about the shading etc. of the armor. As to the arm coloring, I thought it a little strange, but then I looked and thought “maybe it’s suppose to be human skin as just a glimpse of her once other side. Thank you for sharing. Peace and love abide with you 💕
I have her in my stash and it's so hard not to kit her up. Currently working on Goddess of Spring for ChrissabugAlong. I don't typically shy away from dark paintings, I just tend to alternate between light/bright and dark paintings. Thank you for mentioning all the specialty drills and stating it has a good balance because I was considering purchasing some enhancements 😊
I cracked up when you said you may have finished it sooner but given the circumstances it basically took you “longer” … I’m like what?! That is FAST girl! 🏃🏽♀️💨😂 New to DP and love your videos!
Im working on a Chrissabug rn actually (Goddess of Spring) which is a similar style to Medusa and the color blocking on the borders is killing me. Im just not made for color blocking. But I LOVE how DAC used special drills both in your Medusa and in the one Im working on. Adds a perfect little magic touch to Chrissabugs artwork.
I thought this artwork was beautiful when I saw it and I'm shocked how fast you were able to complete it, my finishes are definitely on the much longer side! What you said about artwork invigorating us diamond painters is so true. Recently, I had the opposite experience. I was working on a mystery kit and I got about 1/2 through and really hadn't enjoyed the image that much so far. It wasn't ugly, but it also didn't inspire me. So I looked up the rest and it seems the part I did would be the part I'd enjoy doing the most. So now, I know I'm not really interested in doing the second half of the painting but I do have a half-finished piece! What do I do with it? I know some people really wish they could've gotten their hands on certain kits, but with it half-done... would they even want it?
You are so fast at diamond painting. I'm getting faster, but it still takes me a few months to do one that size. 😂 I'm currently doing the water tiger from DAC.
I love, love, love that artwork! I want it, but it is one of thousands in my wishlist right now. LOL! As for the parts that didn't render well, the grey to teal and even some of the pink in the skirt, I would probably try to blend it in with a bit of confetti. If I get it, I will try in a smaller place and see how it turns out; like maybe in the helmet or the shadows first before doing it in her skin.
I've just noticed something! The washi tape in your logbook isn't the same as the washi you used on the artwork. My brain is a scary place sometimes 🙃 I love mythology, but I'm saving myself for Christopher Lovell's Medusa, along with her sister Euryale. They face each other in his artwork, and I think they'll look amazing mounted on my bedroom wall that way 🥰🐍#DACwishlist

Anytime you need to show what fairy dust looks like this is HOW. They show perfectly in this video!!
She turned out so good! She’s on my wishlist. I love Chrissabug!
Love her and you are right about the shading on her arms
What a beautiful finish! I like the patch on her arm because it reminds me of snake skin/scales.
Beautiful! Love the little details!
I originally missed out, but I'm definitely grabbing it when it comes back in stock.
Didn’t think I would like this. I have C. Lovell’s Medusa. I’ll put this on my wish list. Very nice
She's so beautiful! 💖

While that subject is not my cup of tea, it's GORGEOUS!
Wow she turned out beautiful! But yeah that part on her arm is strange. The colors are so much l more interesting than I first thought they’d be
❤❤❤

I'm a bit iffy on the rendering of her skin... It's the first thing that I noticed... I really want this kit though, either way.
