The bowing is usually cultural. Some cultures bow to greet the elderly. In Nigeria it's very normal to see people bow to the elderly. I haven't travelled to many places though.
Japanese and Koreans do the most bowing in their cultures.

He basically told him that this wasn't prophetic because it happens anyway randomly. To be prophecy it has to be more specific basically. Which makes sense to me. No date, time or anything.
