@@camelnotllama It's not that the perks in your build are bad, but using 3+ killer aura perks together is a trap that many new players get into. They tend to find aura reading perks to be broken because they definitely can be when they are active, but they have many drawbacks for their benefit. Such as direct counters with blindness/undetectable, they can have cooldowns and may activate at times that give little to no benefit. Generally, having a well-rounded build with more perks that are giving constant value is better than perks that give short bursts of value and are not flexible by being countered by the same things. I agree that Windows is overrated because it doesn't allow you to do anything that you can't already do, but it has been proven useful even to experienced players. I'd argue it helps them less often than it helps new players, but it gives experienced players a much bigger benefit when it does help because they are better at using the information it gives them.
Eyes of belmont and alert are very consistent in terms of value, i agree scene partner may be more niche and that without an exhaustion perk fixated loses some of the value it has, but i wouldn't say aura reading is necessarily bad, windows is also countered by blindness too and undetectable is almost never at full uptime with the exception of cratched mirror myers, your points are generally good and i see why you believe the build is flawed, i don't use this often at all and was going for something more fun than anything.
@@TheBoss4711 "doesn't allow you to do anything that you can't already do" i understand why people may think that but my main point on why windows is so good is because of not knowing for 100% certain where pallets are due to teammates having already used them and they have been broken. sure you can learn loops and tiles but that'll only get you so far, you'll go to the nearest place you think a pallet is since you 'memorised the map layout' and be shocked to find nothing since the pallet has been broken. windows gives you info on the nearest pallet that's actually up and available for you to use therefore extending the chase by alot in 90% of cases.
I think it's a perk to be used for new players, skilled survivirs don't need it unless they have memory probelms or are just bad at remebering things. I only started playing survivor 2 weeks ago and I need windows still. but that's just because I haven't played survivor much.
I think a lot of people can benefit from it but i really don't believe anyone should use it all the time because it just takes a perk slot that could be used more effectively.
@@camelnotllama What? Noob take. In Solo Q you can know where all the pallets are but if your teammates dropped them than thats the difference between getting downed or not. Also, you get to plan your route ahead of time. Im not saying its meta but its definitely not bad if you have a looping build. I'd put it in A tier.
So you're telling me it's nooby to remember where tiles are and not instinctively run to pallets i can't just see? If you ever run to a tall tile with no window that had a pallet, you are likely to get hit bc people throw pallet gyms all the time, but on a loop with windows it is less of a gamble and you can do this wonderful thing in chase called ✨️Scouting✨️.

Yeah, i was just using that build as an example because people hate chases to a point where their entire build can be centered around just escaping.
You somehow suggested an even more noob-like build than the one you are contesting...
How so, aura reading helps to reduce the number of 50 50s lost at tall tiles, all windows does is fill in for a lack of knowledge.

Kind of, the only reason i say this is because when more than 1 or 2 people are running it in soloq it is just a waste of perk slots.
