In Spanish we don't have two different verbs as in English in the case of expressing possession or feelings. For example "Tengo 2 perros" (I have 2 dogs) / "Tengo hambre" (I am hungry). Anyway, I loved the video and hope you keep making videos like this
@@liarose.222 Hi! "Estoy" is normally used with adjectives. In this case, estoy hambriento would also mean I am hungry. Literally translated, tengo hambre would be something like "I have hunger" which sounds wierd in english. But for us it means the exact same thing. You can say it both ways. Just try to remember that "estoy" answers the HOW, with an adjective. Estoy hambriento, estoy triste, estoy contento. "Tengo" answers the WHAT. With a sustantive. It gets a little bit confusing, because you cannot always use both interchangeably. For example, to say "I am hungry", both ways are valid. However, to say "I am sad", we say "estoy triste" but we don't say "tengo tristeza". If you have any questions feel free to ask :)
... Because Spanish speakers see hunger, sleep, thirst... as things that are temporary, so we use "have" as a way to clarify that we, at the moment, are having that need.
