People may give Moore a hard time for being campy, but when it's time to get serious, he shows off some of his best work.
His cold kills are also intense.
Agreed. When he kicked that car in "For Your Eyes Only." And the line, "That's for 009" in Octopussy. The tie scene earlier in this movie.
Best bond and best movie in the entire franchise
Well Said. Spot on
Moore is one of my favourite Bomds. Craig I disliked. Brosnan I liked as well. Connery it depends on the movie.
When Moore was acting serious he really did a great job!!!
Completely agree!
even his humor is serious, so best bond forever.
This is Roger Moore's best one
Couldn't agree more 👍
For your eyes only I think was the best. I liked the spy who loved me too.
This one and Live and Let die
@@squidprince2456 I liked live and let die too it was good and the man with the golden gun
People always say Roger Moore was a bit of a clown. But he had really good serious scenes
Barbara still looks fantastic at 75, rare lasting beauty
I agree with you there.
Ringo's no fool.
Hotness doesn't always last, but beauty does
Mrs Starkey looks better in person and is aging gracefully. At my last job would see her come in to shop on our floor checking out all our ready-to-wear collections. Always dressed impeccably and sometimes would see her with Ringo on rare occasions. We had a client luncheon and trunk show for Stella McCartney and I think that was one of the times they were there including Paul of course because his daughter Stella was promoting her line. One of the highlights of working there.
Moore was really good in this scene
R Moore WAS good in this cene He had Experience with the BOnd character, Wheras S C WAS Bond to begin with. just shown for the SPY he was, enigmatic, clever etal.
Moore could pull off the gravitas so well. In fact, the humor helped because of the contrast.
I'm sure Moore (like Dalton) was a classically trained actor especially well adapted for Shakespearean literature
😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
That's Ringo's wife !
Have you seen Caveman?
Were you born yesterday?
- And John ended up with Yoko...........
@@KeithHays-ek4vr
Yoko isn't most guys type, but John adored her.
Yup. He got the better deal for sure.
“Do you recognise him?”
‘Yes, that’s Michael Billington. He used to be in UFO.’
Yeah, he took George Sewell's spot who played Col. Alec Freeman during the first half of shooting the first and only season. Mr. Sewell couldn't return as he had started filming the smash hit tv show "Special Branch."
Read that in Roger Moore's voice. Brilliant!
Nice 👍😁
Problem solved. Next!
Yes!!!
SHE IS LIKE STUNNING GORGEOUS ❤❤❤😊😊😊
*stunningly
The real James Bond and the most beautiful Bond girl ever. 👑🕶❤️😍💫🎞🏆
Beautiful couple...both!
..I say connery... is real james bond..but Moore is a close 2nd
@@teebuffet8393 Well, that's your opinion. and it's a matter of taste. But, here most of us go for Roger Moore
@@alejandrinaramirez5033 Thumbs Up😃
@@edmonddantes1210 O James Bond original foi Sean Connery!
My favorite 00 Agent, Sir Roger Moore. Great score composed and conducted by Marvin Hamlisch.
Ah Barbara Bach. Another fantastic Bond girl!
I liked the part when she smashed Jaws into a wall with a car.
My favorite Bond and Bond movie. Sorry I'm a 60s baby so I grew up in the 70s with ole Roger. ❤
Completely understandable. I was born in late 80s and grew up with Brosnan in the 90s. Fan of them all but naturally really enjoy Brosnan the most.
Sorry but Craig is the best bond for me. Casino Royale & Skyfall are two great movies, not just Bond movies, but in general.
@@tt14life90 Me too, I grew up with good old Roger
One of the greatest actors to play the roll of 007 James Bond 👌
Drop dead gorgeous! - Barbara wasn't bad looking either.
Moore’s best film, and easily the best Bond girl. Fascinating and nuanced character with some awesome mic drop moments: “I stole the plans to this car two years ago”👏
This was Sir Roger’s best Bond film as a 10yr old at the time of its release it blew my mind especially the scale of everything and the humour and a fantastic car that can go underwater!! 🤩😎👏👏
That must have been a fun experience seeing that at a younger age.
Rodger Moore's best Bond film.
I agree!
The best Bond ever
I even bought the small model car. And the best Bond song from Carly S. And Caroline Monro in that helicopter was one badass. Until she got shot down.
He's great yes....but He's no Sean Connery
@@OldMovieFan1973Connery's not bad, but he's no Roger Moore
@@OldMovieFan1973Connery's not bad, but he's no Roger Moore
@@pbworld7858 Nah I would say connery..but I love moore too
A rare example of the use of the “Emphatic” when Bond says “Yes, I DID kill him.”
Spoiler: she gives up on this idea VERY quickly.
This and For Your Eyes Only!
No es la espía que me amo
"The spy who loved me".
God, he was beautiful back then.
The best Bond Film, the best Bond with the Best Bond Car!!!!!!!
Two Beautiful People.
Moore is the definitive bond
He and Sean Conory are the most gorgeous
There will never be another Roger Moore. Excellent actor.
He did a great portrayal of Bond. I agree.
My favorite Bond movie.
The opening scene is one of the best. Far better than the crappy intro to Moonraker.
Nobody does it better 🎵🎶🎵🎶❤
Too bad they removed it from spotify
If you want to listen to it there is a youtube video with the song still I will link it for you. Will also be making a Roger Moore tribute in the future with that song. Here's the HQ version I found on YT: ruclips.net/video/F1oV14KyvG0/видео.htmlsi=RA6TibvguldlUU-c
I love it no suspenseful music nothing just good acting from both.. R.I.P Sir Roger Moore..
Little bit of a dark Bond from Roger
Easy Rogers best and top 3 best Bond films
This one, For Your Eyes Only and Octopussy are in my opinion his best roles with The Man with the Golden Gun a close 4th.
The look of betrayal on her face is real a credit to her acting ability. She grew up and was trained to hate everything Bond stood for. 007 brought her back to reality. This isn't a game it's a deadly occupation where people die.
True, true
She wasn't mad that her lover was killed by a Western agent. She was mad that Bond did it! Having slept with the person that killed your significant other had to be the ultimate mind blow. She found out how sick and cruel her occupation is. Her best friend and worst enemy came into her Life with a smile.
Roger Moore is among the best Bond actors.
She had some anger issues.
Most handsome Bond and most beautiful Bond girl. Right there in the best Bond movie.
Roger Moore is such a great Bond. As suave as they come but cold as ice when need be. And not to mention great fun too! If pressed then I’d say Connery is my favourite but Roger Moore is a very close second.
Favourite bond movie from Roger.. and the most beautiful bond lady ever
Absolutely stunning..memorizing❤
Agree 100%
You killed Paul Foster where the aliens failed! 😂
When he played it straight he was good
He was a great Actor😊
I thought she loved Ringo Starr
They are married
To be honest, she is to die for.
BOND JAMES BOND❤❤❤❤
I guess he was sleeping on the couch that night.
Roger Moore was a great actor. He could play serious when needed and he played it very very well.
What a great comeback.
Great scene. And then of course she decides to make love to him instead of kill him at the end
Maybe she was trying to shag him to death 🤔
😂"Then When this mission is over, l will kill you"... with love. It is like she was being ironical. 😂
My number one Bond Girl!
This is fhe best scene Roger Moore had to portay as James Bond.
James Bond: She's a tad dramatic, isn't she?
Ringo Stars … wife… they had a loving relationship ❤
" Then when the mission is over, I will kill you." Her declaration turned out to be "... I will LOVE you." or " l will replace him with you".
Spy in many ways is a remake of You Only Live Twice. Instead of kidnapped space capsules, it's kidnapped submarines, villain (Blofeld/Stromberg) wants to trigger a war between two super powers to create new world order, Bond teams up with female foreign agent, Q delivers on location a gadget filled vechile with last name Nellie, long battle sequence inside the villain's lair or adjacent lair, final fight with large formidable henchman (Hans/Jaws), romantic ending interrupted by M, etc. Many of the same plot elements are repeated in Tomorrow Never Dies which, in my opinion, is the better remake with the villain wanting a war in order to get massive tv ratings for his new cable news station; brilliant! In my opinion, For Your Eyes Only is Moore's best Bond; it thankfully returned Bond back to earth and back to the original Fleming source material.
She's so gorgeous....
Honesty...Awesome
Ringo's no fool
I think he was the best James Bond. Also the Saint.
Barbara and the girls were great in "Force 10 from Navarone"!
Like Connery/Mason in "The Rock" stated: you must never hesitate - perfect way to describe such people!.
Great film! Just recently watched The Rock actually. I agree with you on his line being a perfect description for agents and Bond himself.
just beautiful in every way
Ringo had a foxy wife in her. However the best James Bond was Sean Connery😮
Nah George lazenbee
Sir Roger himself had said he enjoyed
TSWLM the best.
BARBARA, DONT LIE *
Roger Moore was the best Bond
Changed her mind in the end, was it the boyish charm or....
Pry a bit of him saving her and the charm.
Narrator: She did not, in fact, kill him.
Moore was the absolute best.
The best
Barbara Bach was a Goddess! 🔥♥️😊
Yes indeed 👍
Beautiful content 👌 keep it up
Thank you, I will
I still dont understand the title of this film.
It refers to Bond loving her enough to save her despite that spys are not supposed to love or romance other spies, especially rivals as such xXx was Russian and 007 British. The point being they break the rules per say. Hence 'The spy who loved me". Thats my take on it anyway. Not to mention the theme is marvelous.
Almost all Bond titles are stylistic monikers really. They're not really meant to be exact descriptions of the film.
The title is from the novel that bears no resemblance to the film.
Who's the beautiful actress she's very beautiful engorges❤❤❤
Barbara Bach
Super gorgeous.
That was my favorite movie
Mine too of Roger's tenure.👍
Barbara Bach looked like the same age as Obrey Plazza todays...Maybe She's her Grandmother ...😅
Barbara Bach is married to Ringo Starr, and she is beautiful!!!!!
this and for your eyes only are moore’s two best - the rest took the silliness too far
The best Bond film. Underrated.
Brought down by Barbara Bach who's acting was as flat as a pancake. She was probably one of the most beautiful Bond girls, with absolutely breath-taking eyes, but also one of the worst actresses.
Imagine Eva Green in her role ... or even any other B rate actresses as Sophie Marceau or Diana Rigg ... any of them would have given much greater depth to the Bond girl role.
Its definitely underrated, I agree.
Diana Rigg could have pulled that one off easily. Eva would have been too young but given if this was present day easily could have done it.
While Daniel Craig did an excellent job as Bond, I prefer the Roger Moore era of Bond. It was a mix between him being a bit funny, serious when he had to be and the storylines were fantastic making the movies wonderful to watch.
Yes! Definitely miss the Roger Moore humor in Craig's era.
cant win them all lpl
So, he doesn't recognise him, doesn't know who he is, but confirms he killed him. Right you are 007.
I so badly wanted him to say as she turned to leave “so sex is out of the question?”
😂
The Spy Who Loved Me is the best movie of the Roger Moore James Bond era. There is a lot of truth in this scene between James Bond and Anya Amasova. In their world, spies are everywhere and death is an accepted reality in the business of espionage.
Exactly. Well said. James Bond was the epitome of 'Kill or be Killed'
@@StormChaserZ James Bond had been studied by psychologists. Bond is always looking around for either, trouble, a way out of a room because, as a rule, he doesn’t enter into a place that he doesn’t know how to get out of. But, he is restrained enough to be relaxed, mouth closed and eyes wide open. James Bond is paranoid because he believes everyone is out to kill him.
As he should be for sure. A double agent like James Bond is playing the odds everywhere he is but just like his poker face in Casino Royale he makes the best of the worst situations.
@@StormChaserZ James Bond was never a double agent. However, Dusko Popov , a Yugoslavian, who worked under Ian Fleming during WW2, was. In fact, he resembled Sean Connery. He played multiple roles in the gathering of intelligence. He played a “lady’s man” and had romantic interludes. Popov was the model for Ian Fleming’s James Bond.
In an interview, Dusko Popov was asked about the James Bond movies. He said that James Bond wouldn’t survive what he went through.
He then told the story about the intelligence that he received about the Japanese plan to attack Pearl Harbor . He received the information in August of 1941. He went to America and tried to pass on the information, but the FBI rejected it because Popov was a double agent and couldn’t trust the information and how he acquired it.
Ian Fleming’s novels were different from the movies. In the novels, Bond was not the perfect spy. Bond had mission failures. He had been captured and tortured. The film Die Another Day used this fact in the opening credits of the film. He was not the greatest with women, either. But Bond does prevail. The movies polished his literary image and made him the hero he is now.
@@StormChaserZ James Bond wasn’t a double agent. However, Dusko Popov , a Yugoslav, who worked intelligence and counterintelligence for Ian Fleming during WW2, was. He was the inspiration behind the creation of James Bond.
Barbara Bach was so fine❤
❤
Roger was a nice guy but Sean was Bond, without him in the beginning, I believe 007 coolness would not have happened, therefore changing the space and time compendium and the world would be a different place today... probably for the worse, if that's possible
Strangely enough, we were all pretty lucky to even get another Bond after Diamonds Are Forever. The producers nearly dropped Bond a few times before then.
I agree. Quite a few films took bits of Bond throughout the years to make themselves successful franchises. Jason Bourne, Mission Impossible and Austin Powers to name a few pry would have never been in existence.
Bach started out so good, but writers dropped the ball and she became a just a girl in distress by the end of the movie.
On Real Life 🧬 She Wasn't As Beautiful On Screen.
😄
😂
She is a killer 🥰😂😂😂
Barbara is the sister of Daisy Dukes in real life.
Nope, no relation of Catherine Bach. Barbara's sister is Marjorie Bach, married to Joe Walsh of the Eagles.
@@evtinker1814 Nope, It was not a question.
Not related.
BOND IS NOT ALLOWED TO DIE WITHOUT PERMISSION FROM THE QUEEN!
Only Jill St John trumps Barbara as a Bond girl
Wasn’t that a picture of one of the other James Bond actors? The one from “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”?
No. It was a doppleganger at best. Lazenby was only in OHMSS 👍
No, but it's an actor named Michael Billington who I believe was considered at one point to play Bond.
@@jhjhjhjhjhjhify In OHMSS, he played the real Sir Hilary Bray.
Talk about telegraphing your intentions! I'd love to play poker with her.
Illogical Agent XXX
Very nice to look at. Did she ever smile?
A few times in the movie yes but most notably at the end.
Roger More look like Christ Hemsworth (Extraction) in My opinion: Christ Hemsworth (Thor) deserve play James “007” Bond.
I could see that as a possibility for sure. As long as the scripts were right.
Carolina Munroe should have been XXX
Why on earth is he confessing to something about which he’s unsure? Never made any sense to me from the first time I saw this scene in the cinema.
Not sure either.
