Terry, your card room is beautiful and I love that your kids use it too! I also love that your card display is centered around your family memories! Great themes and purpose behind them!
Thanks Rick. Having them in a room where my kids frequent was important to me. I know that isn’t always possible but in my house we are fortunate to have a large enough room for that to work. I wanted an art gallery style setup where I could change things out. I appreciate you watching.
Terry, amazing displays in a functional family room! Those 1961 Topps baseball cards look fantastic together! So many amazing cards from different sports! It was cool to see your Mickey Mantle room-mate display again, with the glorious stationary signed by all the Yankees! Not sure there are words to do it justice, so ... 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Thanks Adam! I know functionality and displays don’t always work but the way my wife and I have spaced out the displays makes it so cards and kids can coexist. I still can’t believe my wife has a relative through marriage who played with the Yankees and knew Mickey Mantle. Then to have a piece like that in the family is amazing. Take care
Wow! I never get tired of seeing that beautiful room! So much nostalgia and memories throughout three sports! So cool that you have all those cases yet the room is large enough to where they are spread out and it’s not overwhelming! I really enjoyed seeing all the cases. I especially like the Diamond Stars, they look so beautiful lined up next to each other! Always love seeing the 80s cards, that’s where we cut our teeth on the hobby and as a sport fan in general, so many great memories of those players and cards! The Tiffany’s are fantastic! Enjoyed seeing the 61 Topps cards too, that’s a set that is really growing on me. I need to get one of those magazine racks! So awesome man! Thanks for the tour!
Hi Jim, I am glad you enjoyed the room tour. You have been along for all three. Yeah, the 70s and 80s cards are a big part of my theme right now given the nostalgia those cards have. I will probably leave most of the display up through Christmas. Though, I plan on doing a profile of my 75 or 79 Topps football cards and will replace one of the cases with those. Those are also very nostalgic sets, and I am a fan of the photography of the 75. I haven't shown all the cards I have from those either. Yeah, as a fellow magazine collector, a magazine rack would look great in your room. Thanks Jim!
Terry. Thanks so much for the tour of your hobby room. Wow you have an amazing setup. To think you only showed 10% of your graded cards. I love all the displays. You represent all sports you like well. You honored the 61Topps, one of my favorites. I like seeing the 1987 displayed in that way. I have the complete set in a binder but having the top players, especially in Tiffany, brought back memories of when I rekindled my love of collecting. The cards with varying colors displayed together as such reminded me of something I would do. That family keepsake of the Yankees relative was awsome. Really nice video. Thanks.
Hi Dan, I am glad you enjoyed the hobby room tour. Yeah, it would be nice to show more cards at one time, but I really want to keep the number of displays to where I have it. I would love to find a horizontal display case, but I have yet to see a commercially made one that holds 20 or more cards. I can definitely see you doing a display of cards with similar colors given you creativity in displaying cards in your room. Yes, that Yankees family keepsake mean a lot. I am not that into autographs, but this particular piece has a lot of meaning given it was from a family member and his personal connection to Mickey and the team. My kids still think it is neat that we are related to a New York Yankee. Thanks for the comment.
I really like your card room. Such a wide-ranging collection, yet somehow also focused because of the unique meaning the various parts have for you. The display is neat and tidy, and curated so well. I don't know how I missed those Cowboy figurines, but I sure do love it. What a wonderful display of cards. I will be keen to see updates as you switch it out in future. Thanks for sharing Terry.
Thanks Chuck! Well curated, neat and tidy are all words I like to hear. It is important that my cards are displayed in such a manner that you can walk through and look at them without being overwhelmed. Not a lot of people see the room, but I have watched those that do and our interested, they take their time and go case to case. I didn’t want a setup that overwhelms the senses. I appreciate the comment .
Like you I display and look at my collection for nostalgia and remembering where and when we got them. It’s never about value but just simply the love of the cards. I love the thought of debate and thought about which cards to display and which ones just didn’t make the cut for whatever reason that time but hope for the next rearrangement. Great stuff my friend.
Thanks Drew. Coming up with themes makes collecting much more fun and gives my card room an art gallery feel. It keeps it from getting stale. Sure, I like buying cards but displaying and enjoying what I have brings me much more satisfaction. I appreciate you watching.
I missed this video originally but when you mentioned it in your last video and had to go back to watch. This is my first time seeing your card room. Very impressive! The feelings and emotions you exude while talking about and showing your cards in your videos are perfectly exemplified in your cases. They tell a story without even hearing the story. That 50 Bowman football case is just so great! Awesome Terry!
Thanks Joe! I am glad you enjoyed the room tour. It means a lot to hear that what I show in my videos is captured in my card room. My hobby experience is a deeply personal one as you can see. Take care
Great share here Terry. Love to hear the story behind a lot of these cards. That 67 Mantle is the best one i thought. Always enjoy seeing some 1987 Topps displayed. The statues and figures are awesome in the cabinet. All sorts of fun stuff and always like seeing your card room. Thanks for sharing with us.
Fantastic video Terry. Fantastic. What a room. I always enjoy seeing your amazing collection. That room is just incredible. It is a museum. Your passion shows in your collection. I always enjoy also the history behind the collection with your dad and father in law. I always believe that is the way it should be. Not about dollars and cents but about the history of it all and the sentimental reasons. There is no price for that. I am glad to hear that you are doing better. Sorry that you have not been feeling well. Thanks again for sharing.
You’re right Ed, the history and nostalgia make it fun. It is those connections along with sharing your passion with other like minded collectors that I enjoy most. Yes, I am staring to feel better. Thanks, my friend.
Hey, Terry! Sorry you weren’t feeling well. Hope you’re doing better now. This video was just fantastic. The amount of thought on how you display your card’s impresses me as much as your focus on your collection does! The way you honor your father and father-in-law is touching. I really liked the rows that are color coordinated. That was really cool. Same with how you paired the aging Richard and Howe together. There just so much great stuff to comment on. Also, I love that you have a villain’s showcase. Very enjoyable video Terry. The Bob Griese and your dog story made me smile. I can relate. I hope I can get my basement into this kind of shape. Thanks for taking us on this tour Terry! Enjoy your weekend and hope you continue to feel better.
Hi Andy, I am still not all the way there yet as far as feeling better, but I am getting there. I wasn't going to do a video this week but thought I would do something that I didn't have to research. Also, I wanted to do my card room video before we decorate for Christmas, so I figure this is a good time. I have been changing out the cases over the past month or so to reflect the memories and influences that fuel much of my collecting. I am happy with how it turned out. I will likely leave this setup through the holidays. I may change out the 87 Topps Tiffany to either 75 Topps or 79 Topps football after I do a video on one of those sets. I am not sure which one I plan to do. The row of villains is all part of the journey as a sports fan and collector. I like show casing the ups and downs as a sports fan. I also like to show cards that do in some ways make feel sad because of the memories connected to them because that is part of life. That is funny you can relate to the Bob Griese story. My brother and me were mad at the time, but now it makes for a good story. Have a great weekend!
Fantastic room Terry! Love the different themes you have, think it is really cool that you switch them up. The magazines are sweet, I especially like the Chamberlain and Carew those are both just great photos! That 71 Bobby Orr is my favorite hockey card, just sent mine to SGC to get it graded, can't wait to get it back. What a fantastic 54 Williams your wife gave you for your 30th, that is a special card! Love that 71 Jack Snow card, as a kid he was one of the best players on the early Rams teams I liked. I remember once in the offseason the Rams player played a charity game at the local high school that my dad took me to see. Before the game Snow was at half-court launching hook shots, he probably took 5-6 shots and made 3 or 4 of them, each time he made it the fans went crazy! The 1950s football display is awesome, my favorites are the Elroy Hirsch and Norm Van Brocklin cards! Absolutely love the 61 case that is sweet, love the design of that set and the history of that season. Great to see Norm Cash and Jim Gentile, they both had fantastic seasons! The four-card run of Clemente, Frank Robinson, Henry Aaron, and Juan Marichal RC is so nice! I am looking to add the Marichal and Robinson from 61 to my collection. Always love to listen to you tell the stories and memories behind your cards and displays, great stuff! Hope you are feeling better, I have been battling a cold and cough for a few weeks, there are some pretty nasty bugs out there. Have a great weekend!
Hi Steve, I hope you feel better as well. You're right there is a lot of nasty stuff going around. I almost didn't make a video this week because I still don't feel very good. I thought I would keep it simple by showing my card room. it is funny how similar are taste in cards is. The 71 Orr is THE hockey card for me. I love the 55 Parkhurst Beliveau and 54 Topps Howe, but the nostalgic feel the 71 Orr evokes along with the card design and my belief that he is the most talented hockey player ever, makes it my favorite. I learned about that Jack Snow card from David from T&D Sports. I don't think he makes videos anymore, but he was a fan of that card. I came across it and thought it fit nicely in my collection. I love the story about the half court hook shots. He was a very good receiver. It just wasn't the best era to be a receiver in if you like big numbers. I can't argue the Hirsch and Van Brocklin choices. It is hard for me to pick two, but in that display I will go with Van Brocklin and Motley. I am glad there is another fan of the 61 set out there. I am not really a set builder, but I find myself continually adding cards that are important to me from the set. I want to add Tracy Stallard who allowed the home run to Maris. I am trying to win one at auction or for a lower priced buy it now.
your museum is a wonder to those in our hobby and those who are not.definitely one of the best private collections around. amazing passion and attention to detail is how I would describe your entire collection. your collection is what I strive for my own collection to be someday. your vintage collection is entirely in line exactly with what I collect, what I enjoy, what I am passionate about. we're roughly the same age, and share similar memories of different sports throughout the years. You're also a very unselfish, humble collector who spends time not just on your own collection, but bringing attention and focus to other people's collections , memories and passions within the hobby. a collector's collector. health and happiness to you my good friend... Jonathan .... PS... sometimes I don't talk about individual cards because if I did it would take up way way too much time..lol
Thanks Jonathan! You're too kind, my friend. No worries about talking about individual cards. I am grateful that you take a moment to watch and leave such nice comments. My collection is an extension of who I am. It means a lot that comes across in the videos. I also appreciate that people connect with my memories of sports and card collecting. We grew up at a time when we shared a lot of the same experiences given the limited number of channels and forms of communication. You have a great week!
Terry, Holy smokes so I have been looking forward to watching this for a few days. I wanted to make sure I laid down on the couch and fully tuned in. I am inspired by so many things in your room. If I had a friend whos dad had this in his house I would never leave ha ha. I can imagine all your kids friends hanging out it there all day from 5years old till highschool and beyond. Your display of your collecting timeline blew my mind and to know one of my Ohtanis is on that wall means so much to me seriously I cannot believe you have that in with those other treasured memories. I know you love 1987 Topps but I dont understand why ? not because its not an epic design but most of us who are in love the 87' Topps that was our childhood set period. I love seeing those in some ones room who is not 43 years old like me. One day I would love to buy a set of those 87 tiffanys and pull all the stars out like you and send them in for grading. Each display was better than the next !! I know for sure my wifes favorite display would be the color matching display. She loves when I display my cards in rows with matching colors ha ha. I love it to. All the great stories you told and the connection to Mantle as I knew already but never ceases to amaze. I just picture myself in that room moving slowly from case to case. One day I always say this but Vintage Hockey cards will probably make there way in my collection. I would love to have all of Gordy cards. I really am stoked you shared this private room with all of us. Its something that inspires me to keep dreaming. Thank you my friend.
Hey Dylan! I am so glad you enjoyed the video. It means a lot coming from another collector who does an incredible job displaying their cards. That Ohtani fits right in with my collecting history, and it will be a card I will always remember you by. I also have this video for my family and I to reflect on. I love the 1987 Topps set because I was 13 years old when it came out and it was the first year, I could really buy a lot of cards. I had a paper route and was making good money enabling me to buy boxes and boxes of 87 Topps and Donruss. it was also the summer of Mark McGWIRE and there were so many hot rookies at the time. The cards I have on display capture all the things I love about collecting. I plan to keep most of these up through Christmas. I may make a couple of changes, but if I do it will be before we decorate the room for Christmas. The nostalgia theme will go well with Christmas. Hockey cards would look great in your collection. There are some gorgeous cards that would stand out in your display cases. Your awesome comment made my day! Thanks, my friend.
I enjoyed this so much, Terry! Beautiful displays and such a great place to have them in where the whole family can enjoy. I love the Archie Wilson piece and what it means to you and your family. The young Mickey Mantle autograph in the group is a beauty! Also, the fact it’s on a letter from a St. Pete icon, the Soreno Hotel, makes this next level cool. Great history there at the Soreno and it’s nice to see a piece live on not only in a Lethal Weapon 3 scene but in your collection. Thank you for sharing, hope you’re doing well.
Thanks Hugo! There are a lot of good memories associated with the items in the room. These types of videos allow them to be preserved. I am glad you brought up Lethal Weapon 3. I remember reading about it being demolished in the movie when I first got the piece. I am honored that my wife’s uncle thought of us to give it to. My wife and I are the caretakers for now until one of our kids get it. Take care
Truly amazing Terry. So many great cards and a great room. Just to name a couple of my favorites, I saw the Cochrane and Cash. Really like the Munson as well. Very very impressive. It’s always obvious how much you appreciate the cards and family.
Thanks! Cochrane, Cash and Munson are all good ones. I like that Cash card because it is from his monster 61 season. It gets lost with Mantle and Maris chasing history. I am glad my appreciation for family comes across because that is what much of my collecting is based on.
Great tour Terry! You must be around the age of my brother who passed away 18 years ago. I kept his 1980 football set. He was a big Bears and Walter Payton fan, along with Marino, Montana and Nolan Ryan. Great memories for you and your family along with sparking memories in other collectors.
Thanks Scott! It sounds like I am pretty close to your late brother's age. That's nice you still have his 1980 Topps set. Yes, I have tried to formulate a good portion of my collection around my family and our love of sports.
Terry amazing displays in your card room. Your love of your father and father-in-law really shine here! You have a great eye for cards, and like you I have a love of the "Art" card. I really enjoyed this video, thanks for sharing!
Thanks Dan! What I have on display right knew really captures all the facets I enjoy about collecting. Yes, you definitely have a love of art cards which I appreciate.
Wow, now that's a room!! Very impressive to say the least. I loved the stories that went with each display. Cool to see you have a 55 B Dillon. I am certainly partial to that 50-52 Bowman football case. So many goodies in there. Really enjoyed this video!
Hello Terry, hope you are/will better. Your hobby room is just great and fantastic ! Very well organized too ! You showed us some GREAT cards and figures ( i remember you got also some NBA figures, Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and maybe Kareem Abdul Jabbar). Through yours videos and comments , i discovered so many great cards and learnt a lots about sports ! I need to limit to watch yours videos because after i need so bad to pickups some cards...😁. I recently picked up the 1957 Topps Rocky Colavito ( have you discovered the names of the ballpark adversitings in the background ?). And now i need the 1951 Bowman Tom Landry, the 1975 Tom Osborne card, the 1961 Parkhurts Alex Delvecchio, and more....😁. All the Best Terry.
Hi Fabien, I appreciate the well wishes. I am getting there. Yes, I do have Magic Johnson and Kareem figures. Congrats on adding the 57 Colavito. I believe the photo is from Yankee Stadium as that is where Topps tended to take the pictures for that set. Sorry to add more cards to your list and to lighten your wallet. Lol! Thanks for the kind words. Have a great weekend.
Wow! That is one excellent video Terry!!!! I love seeing the updates you made from the last tour! Just an amazing collection of cards/graded cards!! I’m enjoyed this video and the walk through your collection!!!
Thanks so much James. I figured it had been about a year and I thought it would be fun to show the room again. Nothing liking seeing our collection hanging on the walls.
What an incredible display of Artwork. It's like a Museum. WOW!!!! Really enjoyed watching Terry!!!!! Opened my first pack in 72 and pulled Roberto and still have the card today. Well done my friend
I always like seeing what you have displayed. I have 2 of those cases I still need to clean up and hang on the wall. Figuring out what to put in them is going to be challenging. Glad you're feeling better, my friend!
Thanks for a wonderful tour. Great themes for each case! Really liked your Bowman Football and your 61 Topps. And you cannot beat the personal family connection with the Mick.
As I’ve said before Terry, your card room is epic & one of the best in the community. You mentioned before that this room influenced your purchase of the house and I can see why. I was sad to hear of the recent passing of Walt Garrison, a great player & Cowboy.
Thanks so much! Yes, it was a big factor in purchasing the house along with the kitchen. I am glad to have a functional room where my kids can be around my collection. I was sad to see Walt pass away. His quote about Landry was my favorite where he said, I never saw Tom Landry smile, but I was only there for nine years. Have a great weekend.
Well done Terry. It’s a beautiful room and beautifully displayed, even though you have a Dwight Clark card in there. 😆 I’m so jealous of that Danbury Mint. That was my first Cowboys team. If I ever win the lottery I’ll buy one. Only problem is I don’t play the lottery 😂 I enjoyed seeing the players that shaped your early days. We have many of the same. I hope you’re feeling better.
Thanks Chris! Yes, even Dwight Clark deserves a spot in the story of my collection. Haha. Those Danbury Mint pieces are so detailed. I was glad my wife picked it out for me for Christmas. It was between that one and the 1961 Yankees. I am glad I got the Cowboys pieces as much as I love that Yankees team. I am starting to feel better - thank you. Have a great weekend, my friend.
Terry, my 1941 Play Ball set would look A LOT NICER if they lived in that card room of yours. HAHAHA! Thanks for the shoutout. What we really need in your next card video is you explaining to us your media equipment. I'm actually in the market for a soundbar. Looks like this room is stacked. Still my favorite card room on RUclips. Your pre-war case was my favorite and very impressive. I can tell baseball is almost over as you have all your hockey and football cards up. Was Tom Landry a QB? I just noticed his pose. I had to do a rewind because you flashed by one card (Bobby Dillon) so quickly, I wanted to take a deeper look on the card and set. Have you featured this card before? I want a Bobby Orr card!!! Thanks for sharing the Archile Wilson piece. That autograph piece with the Yankees team is to die for! Thanks for sharing the room, Terry. I need to do another one before the year ends. Have a great Weekend!
Hi Rick, your Playball set is going to look incredible in your two display cases when they are complete. The funny things is we negotiated the soundbar, projector and movie screen when we bought the house. The owners were a dentist and his wife going through a divorce, so she was moving into an apartment and not sure where he was going as we never met him. She was eager to work out deals on certain items. Tom Landry was a punter and a defensive back. I believe he played one game at quarterback in the NFL but it was 1952 after this card was issued. `With the holidays coming I wanted a setup with cards that give me a nostalgic feeling. I am going to do a video on my 75 or 79 Topps football cards and I will put one of those sets in my 30 card case where the 87 Topps Tiffany is. I hope the Archie Wilson piece will always be in the family. To have a family member who was Mickey Mantle's roommate is so special. Yes, another card room video from you is a good idea. Take care, Terry
Howdy TJ ! Always like your sense of taste and display. Less is more. Speaking of more, your subs and comments are growing, I don't know how you do it. Take care
Hi Tom, less is more is a good philosophy if you are looking to draw your eyes to the displays. I am happy with the growth being I don't show myself, talk about hobby news or run contests. I love cards, nostalgia and sharing my love for the history of the game. It is nice to know people connect with that. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Victor! How do you feel about a player who started his career in 1976 but doesn't have his first card until 1984. I can't call it a rookie card. Haha.
Hey Terry. Finally getting some time to comment on some videos. Just want to reiterate as I'm sure I've said before, you have a nice set-up. I hope you're feeling better.
Hi Gannon, I am staring to feel better. Thank you. It ran its course through the family. It is nice to do a room tour once a year. I think I will appreciate looking back at how my collection was displayed some day. What did you think of the horizontal cards in the bottom row of the 50s Bowman case? I like them better in that case vs. how I had them in the larger case.
@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 Hey good morning, Terry. I'm glad to hear that everyone is on the mend. That 1950s Bowman football display is a tour de force! I'm thinking that Frankie Albert card is a relatively recent pick-up? Because I remember us talking about him and I think you said you didn't have a card of him. I have his 1952 Bowman. Regarding the horizontal display yeah, I think they look better than how you had some horizontal cards displayed in a previous video. I remember you kind of did it to put me out of my misery lol, but I immediately saw why you would want to display a horizontal card vertically in one of those display cases. How they're constructed definitely poses a dilemma for one who wants to display vertical and horizontal cards simulaneously. What you have going with the Bowman display here looks better. I'm not sure what you did. But there doesn't seem to be as much space between that row of cards and the one above it. Again, maybe we should design some kind of frame, where it has moveable pieces within it, to accommodate the vertical and horizontal cards. I wouldn't be quite sure how to do that, lol. Anyway, as you know, what irks me, is when guys are just showing a horizontal card and display it vertically in one of those little plastic holders. I mean, come on! I think that really says a lot about the collector and what he thinks is most important about a card. The flip (is that what it's called?) where the grade is displayed, is more important that the card itself! It just seems silly to me. Anyway, I'm not expecting to change the world on this one. A couple of quick notes: sorry I didn't get back to your last comment. I've been running around the last couple of weeks. I remember commenting on one of your videos and I was doing it on my phone where I hate writing long replies, because my typing can't keep up with what I'm thinking. I remember not being satiisfied with my comment and was going to write another one, but then I got sidetracked. Anyway, I'm writing here on the computer and it is always so much easier. I think I'll reserve the computer for at least your videos, as we often get into a conversation, or if not, there's usually at least something to say in a single response. Also, recently I unsubscribed from all my baseball card channels, because I was getting nothing but those channels on my RUclips news feed. But now I'm getting tired of seeking out the channels I want to watch! So, I'm going to resubscribe to most of them. So, if you see me subscribing to your channel today, you'll understand why.
Hi Gannon, I tend to type my longer response on the computer too. I am far faster. I bought the Frankie Albert back in January. I also picked up the 52 Bowman. When we talked about him, I didn’t have any of his cards. I was happy with how the 50-52 Bowman case turned out. They are striking cards. You’re right, I do think the horizontal cards display better in the black case vs. the larger case. It may also be that they are all displayed horizontally in that row. I am with you on not knowing how to design a horizontal case. I will continue to look for one. I agree with displaying the horizontal cards vertically in a video. My struggle is the display cases. I have a lot of nice horizontal cards that I want to display and will continue to do so vertically for the most part until I can figure something out. No worries about getting back to me. I can always count on you to chime in with a thoughtful comment whenever you are able to. I know what you mean about getting several sports card videos and most I have no interest in watching. I have my favorites and tend to stick with them. Occassonally, something will come up in my feed that interests me.
Nice clean look to your room. Love the '54 Wiliams. Is the Thomas Landry the same as Tom Landry the coach? What a great framed family memory. Get better soon.
Thanks Drew! Yes, that is the rookie card of Cowboys coach Tom Landry. He has three cards as a player 1951, 1952 and 1955 Bowman. Yes, that piece signed by Archie Wilson and the 1952 Yankees is one that I hope will always remain in the family. Hard to believe my wife has a relative that was Mickey Mantle's roommate with the Yankees.
Beautiful room...clean lines and tastefully decorated so that you can enjoy it as a card room or a home theater. I wish you would stop showing football cards. I'm having a hard enough time not buying them as it is. LOL Great video and room Terry!
Hi Mike, thanks for the compliment. It is definitely a multipurpose room. Currently, I buy more football than baseball, so I don't see that changing anytime soon. lol
@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 Darn...I guess I better up my budget so I can get some additional football cards LOL. The good thing is that they're still (for now) a reasonable price.
nice Guy Lafleur 1979, 1980 is the Gilbert Peariult next to Guy or is it Rene Robert? i'm also not a big Gretzky fan I have none of his cards, nice Guy Lafleur, Lanny Mcdonald , Bob Griese , 1980 Dave Parker , Mr October. sweet cards , 1971 Homerun king , Danny White , Tony Dorsett , Gretzky , 1984 Mattingly, I like the Bombers best , 1965 Mantle , 1957 Johnny Unitas , 1977 Staubach , nice Bobby Clarke , Ted Williams , Bobby Orr Mickey Mantle , tom Landry as a player , Gordie Howe , Robert Newhouse , 2nd show case those old cards love the Berra third case love that Marcel Dionne , sweet 1976 Billy Williams , love that Broadway Joe, , Bob Griese , 1978 Mr. October , 1980 Gary Carter that Tony Esposito , 1978/1979 Mike Bossy , Fran Tarkenton , Terry Metcalf , Dickie Moore , 1973 sweet Munson , nice 2nd year of Ryne Sandburg , 1971 Clemente , Koufax , Johnny Unitas , Gordie Howe, Henri Richard , nothing to say about the 4th show case your 1987 cards except that there better than todays. 5th show case your 1980's Football love the Marcus Allen card , Eric Dickerson , Ronnie Lott , Joe Cool , I cut videos off at the 20 minute Mark unless there really exciting this video is 27 minutes usually you make 9 to 15 minutes so I never had to go over this with you but since you made a 27 minute video i'm just letting you know stopped at 21:48. you said that 1978 of Mr. October is your favorite card of the 70's mine is the Schmidt rookie looking at non multi cards to many to name a few would be the 72 Clemente, 72 Ryan , 73 Nettles , 78 Singleton 78 cooper 79 Ryan 75 Brett , questions 1. Hi Mark, Thanks! There were a lot of cards to look at in this video. No worries, I know this was a longer video. You're right, I typically don't go longer with a few exceptions. 1) Lanny McDonald was my favorite player when I was very young. Then Steve Yzerman became my favorite. I was also a Gilbert Perreault fan being I grew up liking the Sabres. 2) My favorite Mattingly based on looks is the 84 Topps. 3) 1987 Donruss McGWIRE 4) I would think Rosen cards would move if it is fairly priced. He was a popular Indian. I don't think Jake Gibbs cards move unless it is priced like a common. 5) I like the 1971 Clemente, 1971 Aaron, 1970 Killebrew, 1972 Kaline to name a few. 7 - I didn't see a 6) I am not sure. He doesn't seem to have as passionate of a following as other HOFers. I think the Kaat cards sell for more than Fisk because there are not as many graded and people want to add HOFers to their collection. Many already have Fisk graded cards. That is my guess. 8) 1987 Topps. I I appreciate the comment, Mark. Take care, Terry
@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 1. Guy Lafleur iwas mine growing up 2. based on looks would be the topps 84 Mattingly 3. 1984 Mattingly donruss without a doubt. 4. I will probably look at some other cards. 5 I like the 72 Clemente, 71 Mays and 73 Homerun king., 1975 Yaz 7. 8 I also like 87 cards better than today's when 87 came out I wasn't a fan my last favorite would have been 1981 , but there not that bad 1987 way better than today's.
Amazing Mancave setup here! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! I am glad you like it.
Loved it Terry. I have to admit I’m a sucker for those early bowman football cards, fantastic.
Thanks Jason! I am glad you enjoyed. I am glad to know there are others who love those early 50s Bowman football cards.
Thanks Steve! I am glad you enjoyed. Have a great weekend!
Terry,
Holy smokes so I have been looking forward to watching this for a few days.
I always enjoy seeing your card room. Makes me wanna come over and watch the Natural with you and your gorgeous collection. 😃
Thanks Skaght! I am always up for watching the Natural.
Thanks for having us along on the tour, Terry, Looks great.
Thanks John!
Beautiful room and collection. Thanks for sharing
My pleasure, Orlando. Thanks for watching.
Watching this video and sipping coffee was a great way to start the day. Hope you are feeling better Terry.
Thanks Tony. It means a lot you would start the day with this video.
I am happy I did.@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648
Thanks Scott! The 55 Bowman Bobby Dillion is a stunning card. I am glad you enjoyed the 50s football. There are not too many guys like us out there.
Thanks! I enjoy coming up with different display ideas and periodically sharing them with the community. My favorite part about collecting.
I really enjoyed the tour of your card room! It’s a beautiful room and very well done!
Thanks so much. I am glad you enjoyed.
Jesus Terry, I was on vacation when you uploaded this one, but as they say, better late than never!!! Wow I love it. Great room my friend 👍🏽
Thanks Scott! To pull a Roberto Clemente out of your first pack is just awesome.
Great tour. I appreciate how each card is personal.
Thank you Rabbi Dave! For me, collecting is about connections. Take care
I always like seeing what you have displayed. I have 2 of those cases I still need to clean up and hang on the wall. Figuring out what to put in them is going to be challenging. Glad you're feeling better, my friend!
Thaks Eric! I look forward to seeing those cases displayed and filled up with cards.
What a room !!! Awesome stuff .
Thanks James! I appreciate it.
Thanks for a wonderful tour. Great themes for each case! Really liked your Bowman Football and your 61 Topps. And you cannot beat the personal family connection with the Mick.
Thanks so much! Yes, the 50-52 Bowman and 61 Topps displays are awesome. The Bowman cards are works of art. Have a great weekend!
The magazine rack is great! I’ve been looking for ideas for my room which has a similar color to yours. The black shelves and racks look very sharp!
I like the look of black cases too. It is a timeless and classy. I appreciate the comment.
love room tours...that room is fire bro....probably gonna watch this again...lol
Thanks Lou! I am glad you enjoyed it.
@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 🤣 Great line from Walt!
Fantastic displays Terry; great room for them too.
Thanks Mitchell!
Well done Terry. It’s a beautiful room and beautifully displayed, even though you have a Dwight Clark card in there. 😆
I’m so jealous of that Danbury Mint. That was my first Cowboys team. If I ever win the lottery I’ll buy one. Only problem is I don’t play the lottery 😂
I enjoyed seeing the players that shaped your early days.
Great displays so many cards I wanted to mention and forgot like the Diamond Stars, are nice cards to display. I like the idea for the magazine stand.
Thanks Diego! There are so many beautiful magazine covers, the stand allows me to enjoy some of them.
Great video Terry. Just love looking at this room. I'm not sure if I'd spend much time in the rest of the house. Appreciate you sharing
Thanks Kevin! The kids are in there quite a bit, so I pick my spots. I appreciate you watching.
I enjoyed the tour. A very amazing displays ib the room.
Thanks Jim!
The Tom Landry card is perfect. Keep up the good work! 👍🏻😃
Thanks! I agree on the Landry. That card and my 72 Roger Staubach are my two favorite football cards.
@@tjmacvintagecardsnostalgia648 Roger Staubach is a amazing card also! I bought him recently!
Love it Terry..love the magazine rack too. Shout out to Chuvk Muncie on the cover with the Bills, well done!!
Thanks Mike! Yes, I was thrilled to find that Muncie cover. It brings back some good memories of the 1980 playoffs.
Take care,
Terry
Wowza! Love it 😊
Thanks Victor! How do you feel about a player who started his career in 1976 but doesn't have his first card until 1984. I can't call it a rookie card. Haha.
Amazing room!!!
Thanks Zach!
Nice collection
Thanks Peter!
Great looking Joe Montana rookie
Thanks Tony. Montana was definitely one of my villains as a kid. No he is part of my history as a collector.
Classy
Thank you! That is a word I like to hear.
Great stuff Terry. You are welcome for the shoutout
Thanks Mike!

2. which Mattingly do you like the best not for value but for looks your favorite 1984 Fleer, Don russ or 1984 Topps?
3. which card do you like better 1987 Donruss Mcgwire or 1984 Donruss Mattingly?
4. does Flip Rosen move at card shows? I took my Jeter rookie tried to sell it and somebody was telling me that everybody has that card it's a common card , card 98 name plated so looking for some cards to move I would say Flip Rosen isn't a common card!! do you have any thoughts on Rosen's card moving? what about Jake Gibbs does his card move at card shows?
5. you said that 1978 card of Mr. October is your favorite 70's card do you have a favorite 70's card of the non 70's players 50's and 60's superstars but there 70's cards? example 75 Homerun king, 70 clemente any favorites of any of the 3 if I counted right?
7. how come on ebay people aren't buying Carlton Fisk cards? I was watching John's videos like 3 or 4 of his saw the 72 today in the top 10 Fisk didn't make the list just the honarable mentions. he was telling me that Kaat's cards are selling for more than Fisks , Munsons the 1973 and 1978
how come people aren't buying Carlton Fisk?
8 which cards do you like better the 1987's or cards of today like the shiny cards refractors , rainbow colors ect?
Hi Mark,
Thanks!
3) 1987 Donruss McGWIRE
4) I would think Rosen cards would move if it is fairly priced.
I appreciate the comment, Mark.
Take care,
Terry
