It doesn’t deal with it. In that you are correct. But what I sense on your side is that you don’t think diversity, or lack there of, is an issue in the church. The need for us to be one is very important. Notice that he preached this 7 years ago. This is before BLM or other groups truly took off. Yet in the church we still have this issue. I still consider you a brother in Christ. Be well
Thank you. We agree then, that he twisted the scriptures. Can we also agree that his point, from a biblical perspective, is therefore invalid? If racial diversity in the Church is such an important subject in the scriptures could he not have found chapter and verse to support this? Can you? The Church of Jesus Christ is racially diverse already because God saves men and women of all tribes, nations, and tongues. Nowhere does the Word of God teach that the local church must look exactly like the Universal Church. The fact is, many local churches are a product of their community demographics. Many a product of doctrinal distinctions and many based on ethnic affinities. Why do we so easily blame these differences on racism? I'm sure there are some. I'll grant you that but to proclaim that racism is the top reason for lack of diversity in the local church is just not valid. The bottom line is if the God of the Bible did not directed the inspired authors to expend a lot of ink addressing the subject of racism in the local church He must not have seen it as a major problem. Amen
Just another misuse of The High Priestly Prayer of Christ. This chapter has nothing to do with racial diversity.
