Found out about u through Dan Hurd saw all your mining videos now these have u always logged first or mined first you logging skills are really good u are very comfortable with the saw and being out there alone keep these coming please 😊
You really need to get a lot of those chips out of their the machine will run better I noticed as you were running that the runners were having to push sawdust out of the way that could cause you some bad boards diving excetera that's just from the knowledge that I've gotten from watching a lot of sawmill work I always wanted one take care and be safe 🤠😎
I enjoyed the video. Maybe I could come down with a load of walnut to swap for cedar. Looks like that ol' Baker & the straight line rip saw have seen a lot of use.

@@SJForestProducts I think the same way. I love turning what would otherwise be firewood into useable timber and then make things with it. There's nothing more satisfying then having people ask you where you got something and then being able to tell them that you not only made it but also milled the timber for it.
Didn't know you were into lumber Beautiful wood. Have you watched Mat Cremona He saws beautiful slabs for tables. I am no longer to operate a sawmill. I had to sell mine. I enjoy watching yoy get logs sawed into usable lumber. I often think of how I would saw a log to get the best and most board feet out of a log. wish you well. Why don't you get your own saw mill?

Got a claim with a lot of silver with gold too, I found the video about the parkes process very informative and helpful. I know all about cedar, we have some big ones here on the BC coast. Seems odd those cedar butts were left behind like that. There’s clearly some value left in them. Whenever I’ve cut for poles the cedars have always been a lot smaller in diameter. I’d love to do what your doing and salvage cedar and mill it myself. Question for ya; what do you think about the Sierra Blaster? For prospecting or small scale mining?
Glad you found us here on our new channel! The sierra blaster is a good tool for surface blasting or boulders, but its hard underground because the rock needs to be broke up enough already or have somewhere to break to. It doesn't work very well on a hard face of rock.

I've spent most of my day with old wooden water main, ripping to size and planning the thickness. Old growth clear cedar is fun to work with!
Sounds like a cool project! If its old cedar water main it must be old

that's actually beautiful lumber. maybe you can get a knuckleboom attachment for the excavator.

Haha, it probably did! There was still a lot of good wood on it though. My saw mill guy hates it when I bring him a log like that 😂
