Thanks for great video man! When I saw all the brackets and spacers I was thinking " not really into adding all that extra jankity stuff onto the bike", but the final outcome looks awesome. Def the best re-style kit ou there!
That’s the perfect word janky. I spoke on this topic, but cut it out during editing to shorten length. Some one that wrecks a lot like FMX may not want this kit for durability reasons. The kit does feel solid once you torque everything down though. 👊

Update: The new 2023 front lower fork guards came in today. This TXrace kit does not come with updated fork guards unfortunately. It would be a lot cooler if it did. But yeah, new videos are coming for ya’ll. 👍🏻

Wow that's a nice looking kit! It seems with all of the brackets and retro fitting it might add a bit of weight no? Either way, it looks darn good.
Also may I suggest putting some clear vinyl or plastic underneath the zip ties on your number plate! Those Cycra plates are nice, but the zip ties always eventually dig in to your upper fork tubes, my '06 125 fell victim to that.
As far as the wieght goes it is probably a couple pounds heavier. The TX seat is more narrow and taller than stock. So it will change the ergonomics some. When riding, it feels twice as narrow as the wide Polisport shrouds. Good point about the zip ties, Ill do that. Thanks 2 Tapz !!! Triple T

@@shootinturkeys Probably an inch. You can see a video of me throwing a leg over it. The modern seat has a slightly flatter profile than stock.

I been working on it for the past two weeks. New big HRC rotors today and bought 5 gallons of VP C12 gas fuel. I’m waiting on some new Core braided brake lines. The should have been delivered today. Then I’ll let it rip. This week I took off work to fire it up and ride for the first time since the rebuild.

Looks like an awesome kit , however you should use 243 Loctite on all bolts before the bike looks 20 years older . Use a 1/4 drive ratchet and torque wrench on most M6 bolts .
Yo Pete, good Loctite tip. These fasteners are coming back out to get fancy washers tomorrow. I used a torque wrench putting on the phat head. Click click. 💪

@@TORKiT That's awesome. My father passed away quite a few years ago , I miss him deeply. He was my inspiration , I ride with my kids on our own track in Melbourne Australia . I have done most stick and ball games , had modified cars nothing comes close to Motocross bikes.

Can you point me in the direction for the graphics kit? I found the website but I could not figure out how to pick the right one for the tx kit.
Yeah Thomas. First check out my newest CR 250 video and see if you’d like the updated look better. But on throttlejockey.com if you have the TX race Ridiculous red light kit I click on the 2024 CR 250 there is a checkbox for no F on the graphics. While purchasing in the comment section, you can request no F for a two-stroke. My new video explains the ordering process as well. Thanks for watching Thomas. 💨
This is a cool kit and I am strongly considering one to modernize my CR500 Hybrid (makes the bike look literally 20 years younger) but is there anyone else who feels that the silencer is too exposed / naked and a kit with slightly larger rear number plates would be better?
I agree. I saw a guy on Vital tuck his silencer but it was a 125 single mount. Small bend and a welder. Looks good but I got a carbon fiber Ti one to show. The new KTM two strokes it is more exposed as well. Sign of the times maybe? Thanks for watching MC.

So, the outcome looks great, even if it is pricey for essentially a plastic kit. My big question: how does it run after cutting off all the airflow to the air box? That's the main thing keeping me from buying this, and getting the polisport instead (02 CR250R)

Try to pause the video and take a screen shot. It’s not hard to install the kit once you get the rear fender on. I can help you out of course.
How did you get your graphics to say “cr 250” instead of “crf”? Is it a custom order from throttle jockey?
Good eye Brett. Yes, it is a custom order I asked of throttle jockey. I ordered the 250 graphic set with white backgrounds, just put "no F" in the notes.

What kit did you have on before the tx race kit and would it fit on a 99?
The old kit was called Polisport. It would not fit a 99. TXrace makes a 2023 kit for your 99.
How are the brakets are they aluminum or steel? Do they feel solid
The brackets are aluminum mainly. The angles bent make it rigid. Especially the seat bracket it feels really solid. The piece under the front of the fuel tank is plastic. I think it was designed to flex some with the shrouds.
How do u order the graphics… do you just order them for a new Honda crf450?
I ordered mine for a 2023 CRF 250. In the notes put no F. Or if these are for CR 125 put that in the notes. Because you don’t want CRF on two-stroke graphics.

@@juliansilva9220 that is the best part about this restyle kit. It is exactly a 2023 CRF 450 or 250. Factory OEM Honda plastic. So I ordered the 250 and told Throttle Jockey no "F" in the notes, just "CR" I hope this helps.

where did you buy the exhaust muffler?
I bought the aluminum shorty from Pro Circuit. Now I am running a Pro Circuit carbon shorty. I found it on ebay for a 2004-2008. It fits this 2003 model as well perfect. You can see it in the newer video. I ordered stickers from Pro Circuit for both sides like the newer models. Because the smaller new plastics expose the exhaust on the brake side as well.
Not really a fan of the rear end side covers. Just doesn't look right compared to the radiator shrouds. But still love it because 2 stroke.
True Big Sniff it looks way different. The rear number plates are small on the newer bikes. All these plastic panels are the same as the new model Honda 2021-2023 CRF.
Looks an absolute nightmare! The Polisport Restyle can be fitted in less then 10 minutes. All those brackets, damn, no!!!!!
The reason I chose TXrace over Polisport is because I prefer the way TX looks. As you can see I removed the Polisport kit at 1:32 . Restylng is for looks.

Thats a misery kit if you crush all asembely parts will bent! Try the polisport kit is bolt on with no adaptors.
If you watched the video at 1:28 I removed the Polisport kit off my Honda. Don't crash then haha. I see your point though.
