My brother was in an induced coma at the end of his battle with colon cancer. After 3 days vigil at his bedside I began to play a few songs from my phone on his pillow. This was the 4th song played and during the very last chord he took a deep breath and went home to be with the Lord. I know the timing was a direct witness from God to show me and those who hear this story that God is real. Keep the faith in peace and understanding.

My grandma, or Memaw as I called her, passed away yesterday, 6/18/24. The night before, we had a mix of Jesus music playing on her tv so her room would be filled with the presence of the Lord as she prepared to go home. I left the room for a few minutes, and when I came back, this song started. I instantly fell to my knees by her bed and just sobbed as I held her hand. This will always be my song for her. I love you, Memaw!

My son passed away 7/23/23. He was 39 and had so much life ahead of him. This song describes his life journey so well. I find this song so healing. I’m so thankful for my faith and although there is a hole in my heart that will never heal I find strength in knowing I will see him again in heaven…whole and unscarred. I lost my brother this year. I still haven't processed it. Ihope God's love & peace bring u great comfort.
My brother died of suicide in 1991. We had both witnessed our dad's suicide in 1957 when my brother was 3 and I was 7. This was devastating to me. When they committed these acts they both were 38 years old. Then I heard this song by Vince Gill. My dad and brother were both buried in our family cemetery on top of a hill in West Virginia. This song made me cry. I know the pain has to leave so the joy of the Lord comes in. My brother believed in God, Jesus and the Holy Ghost. I hope he went to heaven.

this song hurts my heart. I had it played at my husbands funeral in August 2022. We were married 37 years and developed lung cancer in feburary of 2022. He fought hard to stay with me, but he Lord took him home. He is no longer in pain, but i miss him every day
I also lost my husband to cancer ( colon) in August 2022. We were together 28 1/2 years. Not nearly long enough. I played this song at his funeral and I know that I will once again someday be in his arms again when my time comes ❤️

I painfully watched my wife take her last breath in her palliative care bed as she battled breast cancer with metastasis to her brain on 31st July 2023. It pains till today to have seen her that way yet i could not do anything to stop it. The innocence of her children asking me when their mother will come back really breaks me to the core. This song is just an encouragement

I couldn't imagine, but I have a clue of what you're going through. Lost my mom on 8-7-2023. My children, "her grandchildren," ask all the time about her and how she's up in heaven. Lost so many school friends too. I'm tired of loosing friends, acquaintances and especially family. My husband died June 13 he fault a long hard battle with throat cancer and the after effects. I had to choose to stop all treatments and within 4 hours he passed to go home to be with the Lord. This was one of the songs played at the graveside.

My father is a Vietnam veteran. I’m a veteran myself. I’ve watched him struggle my entire life with ptsd and the effects of agent orange along with combat related injuries. His drinking has slowed but more or less due to age. There is a special place in my heart for the veterans of that war. Your husband walks with the lord, and I’m sure he anticipates your reunion!

Hi grandpa, this is the 8th year that I pay a visit to your grave. Every year I come here I've grown since the year before and each time I have less memories of when you were alive. The whole feeling of seeing that snowy grave in the dark with a lit candle inside a lantern with some flowers around it and then see your name on it truly gives me a sence of emptiness inside. I knew my husband was tired. Fought cancer for 4 years, that was one of the hardest words to hear that it wasn’t going to belong before he passed. Just cherish those moments you have left with your loved one’s.
My father passed away April 19 2024, the man always said play this at his funeral. The man fought lung cancer for 3 years it was discovered during a triple bypass surgery. The man was 67 years old at that time broken down from decades upon decades of hard manual labor. He worked his ass off to raise 4 kids on his own when my mother abandoned us. After that triple bypass he couldn’t work anymore so we lived off his social security and I got a full time job and dropped out of highschool my junior year to help pay the bills and make it easier on dad. I continued to do that even after I moved out last year in February. My father caught that cancer tooth and nail, But it beat him in the end. I lost my mama 4yrs ago and my big brother not even a year later. My daddy passed 13 years ago but it seems just like yesterday. They were my best friends. We all would talk every day sometimes more or I’d just drive over there to see them. Now I find out yesterday my auntie has stage 4 cancer! I feel like I’m dying inside an my chest hurts so bad it feels like my heart is being ripped out of my chest.😭😭Once she’s gone my 3 cousins an their children , there will only be me an my 3 cousins and only two boys to carry on our last name a very unique family name of ANSITE! So it’s a blessing to our little family to keep our family name to carry it on and I’m so sad that our family name may get lost for ever.😢😢😢 I’m the oldest out of us all and so. I will be put in place as the new monarch of our small family. We need prayers for our little family so if you believe in Jesus will you please pray for us? I’m so so sorry for you an your family’s loss. I will be praying for you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏 god bless your family and he will be walking with you all while you an your family our grieving.

I served 25 years in the Army & I can't believe it's been almost 20 years since I was medically retired due to injuries on deployment. We become close & have a bond that defies description. I always hated when I had to box up one of my soldier's belongings because he had been killed. All young & barely starting out in life. Tears are flowing while I try to write this. My mother raised me as a single parent in the 50s and 60s. She worked in a cotton mill for 8 hours a day and still found time to be a wonderful parent. She passed away several years ago after battling cancer and this song describes her life perfectly. She is resting now after a life of hard times. God bless her and those like her!!

I lost the love of my life in May 2006 to cancer when he was diagnosed with melanoma in November 2004 it had spread to his lymph nodes the doctor didn’t think he would make it to Christmas but he did the Lord works in mysterious ways we married when i was 15 and he was 18 we grew up together we were married for 35 years our youngest grandchild was 9 months old when he died he never got to know his loving pawpaw i miss him terribly but I will see him again in Heaven love and miss you so much💕

I my name is sonja. I to have and my family have recently been the victims of losing a loved one due to sustance abuse and gun viloence. This has been a humungas tragedy in our lives. My family has literally came to a hault. They are literally falling a part. We lost the glue that held us all together. He left behind three sisters. All of us handling his death in so many different ways. Then my parents r both falling apart at the seams. Trying to take over as parents all over again because my father promised my brother before he took his last breath that he would take care of his kids. Mom has cancer her amune system is low. She is quick to get namonia. Swollen eyes coughing allergies, Arthritus, everything imaginable medically wrong with her that could possibly wrong with her, she has it. My dad fighting his own demands. Everybody tryin to mask the with some sort of addiction or another. We are all struggling to put the pieces back together one day at a time. Anybody out there have any useful advice in order to help my family.

I've always loved country music...whether it's Gospel, Country Rock....anything country (yes....even Willy Nelson)! In my family....we were 4 siblings....all 1 year apart! My brother Frank and I were the closest as were 11 months apart!!! He was my hero!!! We were a bonded pair!! He was a country music lover who always sang and played guitar around the campfire, in the house....anywhere he found solitude!! He was self taught...never had one lesson and no one, not even my father, played guitar! He just watched others play and picked it up!
Frank passed away 3 years ago from a rare brain cancer! He was given 3 months to live but fought really hard and passed 5 months after being diagnosed!! While watching Country Throwback videos on TV....this exact video came on!!! I put the volume as high as it would go and cried my eyes out! Not only was I still grieving....I recognized that it was a sign from Frank that he's still watching over me!!! Ibfelt sad and blessed at the same time!
