Absolutely overstatement, 1st Divinity was much better because of stupid Armor system in 2nd that was made for pure casual players that never played cRPGs / DnD / Pathfinder. 30% spells are OP, 30% are totally useless. Useless crafting, unbalanced gameplay where some encounters were not tested properly and some end-game fights on hardest difficulty can be done with 1-2 spells including last fight. What is good - is some companion's quests, esp Lohse, one of the best quest lines in cRPGs and mostly first half of the game. Game may be good for casual players and those who didn't play a lot of cRPGs before, but for most cRPG players it's far from being awesome.
Buy this with a friend. You will play together as a team but constantly be challenging each other to become the chosen one. We played to the very end as a team to become a collective chosen but at the last moment I decided that I alone shall be the chosen one. We duelled for what seemed the longest fight in the game and finally I lost to my friend and with it my name was etched out of the history books to be replaced with his. 10/10 completely unique experience in a video game.
In the first impression it looked like a boring oldschool RPG from 2003. Then i started to play it. And i played it and i played it. And i discovered the world..and the characters..and the questlines..and the Koopgame. After ~80 hours of gameplay i was finished with the story. What did i do? I asked myself if any upcoming RPG can be as captivating as Divinity. Then i started playing it again. My next hopes are on Cyberpunk2077
nah i wouldnt say it WAS the golden age of gaming. i would rather say it was the time where the golden age began. i played serval crpgs like dungeon siege, sacred nd stuff, if you would play them nowadays it would give u a kind of nostalgic feeling, but gameplay and graphic wouldnt fit to the modern art. that still doesnt mean those games are bad.. well thats a bit complicated to explain but ppl know what i mean i guess :D
Питр Покир Take your "oldschool" opinion and shove it in your ass. Oldschool in games is definition of being lazy and out of ideas. Divinity is not oldschool, its nextgen RPG. Many ppl use oldschool as excuse to not bring anything new on table, "oh we released another fucking 2d platform game, oldschool indie game!" blah blah. Boring as fuck, we need something like Witcher 3 or Divinity, FRESH nextgen game in old genre.
You would think with the price tag, you would get an average mechanic, graphics, and a pretty linear story. But you're wrong. It has a very flexible and diverse gameplay, engaging music and lots of lores and story to go with it,and choices matter. Played it with a friend, had lots of fun. Get it.
I know right? You could do it solo, duo or even full party. And weapon of choice doesn't even matter, since you can wield anything for any class. The only thing being understated is the price.
you´re right mate, rest is gossip and the title of this vid is crap.. this is the definitive edition. maybe some more content and definitely some polished visuals i must admit i fancy;)
At first when i met i was like"damn what a fucking arrogant asshole." Took him in my team because i was curious to learn his story.I didn't finjish the story yet but he's grown more and more on me :x
I didn't even think I was that into RPG, raised a brow or two at people liking DnD.. But omg, this is hands down the best thing I've played in a while.. Put easy 200 hours in my first campaign, started a coop with my gf.. might even do another singleplayer campaign again.. Gief dlc NAOW, naow I say..
This trailer does not do this game justice. Anybody that is reading this comment I encourage you to try it out for yourselves before writing it off. The cool thing about steam's refund system that not a lot of people know is that you can buy and play a game and still be able to easily refund it. As long as you have less than 2 hours of in game time and within 2 weeks of purchasing it, you can get a full refund either to your steam wallet or to whatever you used to pay for the game. Please I urge you to check it out, and it is a lot more fun with friends!
Mohammad, thanks for the reply. So essentially its just a clean-up. Not really new content. Can the console version collaborate with the PC players or is it console locked?
Erasus I love the game. I have about 250 hours on it and would love to pay them more. They deserve it. But hey I understand your sentiment. ALSO some say if you have the standard version you get this one for free :-)
console release pc gets a free dlc and some act 3 tweeks to bring the base game up to enhanced edition for free if you own a pc copy than you dont need to buy anything.
black ring is in and it addresses the divine but i have no idea how the dragon knight in divinity 2 which supposedly take place a few hundred years latter are suppose to fit given none of the ending really set it up as the only ending that keeps the lore friendly divine also removes source magic and thats still a thing in the dragon knight games
well, I heard OS II happens before the Dragon knight saga so it makes sense, what do you mean they remove the source magic, you mean...they remove magic?
the only ending that leaves the divine in the dragon knight saga alive to be shoved into the interminsional prison for the dragon knight saga has source sealed aways from the world that clearly doesn't happen and yet lucian is still alive for the dragon knight games
I see, it might be an inconsistency then...when you say the source, is this about the world of the dead? Anyway now it makes me want to play it much more x)
I've clocked over 500 hours on this game and this trailer doesn't make me want to play it. The strength of this game is the gameplay. Sell it on the gameplay, not some vague generalization of the plot.
Nomad 2145 i'll be looking to play this for the first time once its released for ps4 and so far it seems like it'll offer more replay value than the original dos. The amount of playable characters and their storylines seems like a nice upgrade.
What is making me not want to play this is that its turned base... i think that ruined it a bit... i was more expecting a real time combat type gameplay similar to seikendetsu 3. :(
nathan billy with all the interactions (elemental surfaces, objects, teleports, area effects etc) it would be impossible to have it in real time. And it would be even less possible to have a decent co-op campaign. Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what would be your best move which can be really important due to the difficulty of the game.
So you cant see the kraken at 1:39 then? I get it final boss is actually B****us, but it shows the boss fight arena, and the real dangerous foe of the fight.
Sooo... did they fix this terrible armor/shield system that made the combat a completely polarizing experience of _"you either stomp everything or have next to no way to win"?_
This issue is the reason I uninstalled the game without finishing it. Trying to RP in a RPG game by doing a mixed team like you *should* do in literally every other game with team combat and classes? TOO FUCKING BAD, WE DON'T ALLOW FUN IN HERE
I havent actually played the game yet so i may be talking jack shit right here, but arent the most groups of enemies diverse in terms if armor? Like, there's supposed to be guys with high phys & low magic and vice versa in every group?
With few exceptions they are usually 90-10 armor/shield or shield/armor. The problem is that the moment you try to do what a sane person would do and that is a mixed team part of your team is completely useless the moment there are no enemies that are weak to their corresponding damage type and as far as I got you are always outnumbered. It isn't much of a problem at "normal" difficulty, because you basically can't lose, but that's a problem on its own as fights provide no challenge, so the moment you bump the difficulty by a notch you soon realize how terrible the system is. Options are to go full specialized or hybrid. Full specialized means that the moment you you face a "mirror matchup" for example physical/armor vs physical/armor the fight will take like 5 times longer - you can't really spec particular characters for both damage types, because skills are in a form of skill books and physical and magical abilities have next to no common scaling with attributes _(strength, intelligence, etc)_ - and until you remove entire armor you can neither damage nor debuff enemies _(there are abilities that ignore armor, but there's so many of them you can dump them all on the first move and then you have nothing to do),_ meaning fights are complete stat checks, no actual strategy involved. When you go hybrid enemies will instantly go for your weakest team members depending on their damage type, so your lightly armored mage will drop sometimes even on the first round if the enemy group has an archer or an assassin with a teleport while your fighter will get stunlocked by mages. You can try mods, but personally I couldn't find a single mod which would make fights "tactical". Maybe there are better options now, but when I played a few months after the release there was nothing.
Lecherous Lizard oh, ok. I wasnt aware of that, since, as i said, i havent actually played the game yet. I'll definitely look into it a bit more, maybe it was tinkered with in one of the later patches. Thanks for the info, though :)
you are supposed to contact the game devs and support about it not bitch about it in YT's comments section. If you have a backer invoice from the site you backed it on, then you have your proof, was the same with me for the first game, I contacted support,. got my game key in an hour.
Yeah, I bought the edition on steam that gave me two copies etc etc, whole package.. but didnt get my key, mailed them.. And the community manager or whatever mailed me like an hour after, and swoop. People love bitching, instead of trying to do something about it.
i keep hearing how amazing this game is but its pretty boring and generic and the story takes so long to start i gave up after 8 hours of wandering around not knowing what to do next.
Alex Porri lol console fanboys complain everytime their precious exclusives come to the pc but become hypocrites when game like witcher , divinity etc. are mentioned
Not an overstatement, this is one of the greatest RPGs of all time.
Damon Khan agreed
2x Agreed

O0n the pure "RPG" aspect:definitely.
I'm playiung it since 2 week and i have to force myself to stop, that game is addicting.
whatever man youre salty

It was an age of true 3D RPG, lol
Super XayahJhin people seem to forget that the golden age of gaming was close to then

Sounds like the 200 hours after the game released for me XD
300 hours later and I still gotta go through it again to see if i missed something, thank you larian
I got baited, i thought its finally DLC announce...
same....
One of the best RPG's to date, 10/10, would play 'till I start thinking I'm a god and run around in my neighbourhood with just my underwear.
now xbox and sony fans you can enjoy this to have fun ;D
JOKER Batman I was waiting for sooooo long, it's over soon :D
For a dude who has a potato pc but actually has ps4 this is a dream come true! :)
A guy from my job is selling a hi-spec inspiron gaming laptop for 500$ with a fresh graphics card that he bought himself. DIVINITY OS 2 HERE I COME!
Newton Sparetire prepare some food and time off. You'll need it :D
Phenomenal game. Bought it on a whim one day. Then proceeded to lose my life to it for a week or so haha
1 month for me. Had to stop lol, I was losing sleep.

This game's been out in steam for a long time now, I thought it was already released on consoles
not even a year...
I think he wants a cookie
you´re right mate, rest is gossip and the title of this vid is crap.. this is the definitive edition. maybe some more content and definitely some polished visuals i must admit i fancy;)
Not they were not going to console release until the PC version was 100% :D
i want to play this on my switch.
I got this for Christmas for the PS4 I love jrpgs but it's great to go back into a classic rpg
Fane is the best character
moloko plus Agreed!
Nah fuck Fane, can't count how many times I killed that smug prick.
At first when i met i was like"damn what a fucking arrogant asshole."
Took him in my team because i was curious to learn his story.I didn't finjish the story yet but he's grown more and more on me :x
i always played as him i thought his story was the most interesting
Yeah Fane is always my main character,. he's the coolest and most interesting out of the bunch imo.
I didn't even think I was that into RPG, raised a brow or two at people liking DnD.. But omg, this is hands down the best thing I've played in a while.. Put easy 200 hours in my first campaign, started a coop with my gf.. might even do another singleplayer campaign again.. Gief dlc NAOW, naow I say..
easily the best classic RPG game in the last decade
we used source to heal and grow
until the fire nation attacked.

Divinity os best rpg series since neverwiter ( also dragon age origins was sick)
0:57 😳 damn
ay bra they deadass showed no mercy
Everything about this game is so fucking good 10/10
Yes, dislikers, this isn't DLC, its simply a "hey, look at our awesome game again, for console!" video.
You know that this game will be exclusively enhanced in Xbox One X? Thus, making it an exclusive experience to Xbox Owners.
Square Enix: WHAT?! Greatest RPG Of All Time?
So those of us who got Original sin 2 already will get definitive edition free? That's how they did with original sin.
One of the best game ever.
Yessssssssss! I'm gettin this the moment it drops! Hell fuckin yeah!! Skeleton boi for the win!
What's the name of the song in the beginning, please? can't find it on the OST.
It is the second half of a track called Mead, Gold and Blood (aka Ifan's Theme)
Okay, so what makes it "the definitive edition"?
Ethan Baird they are gonna touch up many things most notable the last arc. And it's on consoles too
Mohammad, thanks for the reply. So essentially its just a clean-up. Not really new content. Can the console version collaborate with the PC players or is it console locked?
Ethan Baird not sure about the second part. But yeah it's just more polish and cleanup. New content is gonna be low
Its "definitive money grab", obviously.
Erasus I love the game. I have about 250 hours on it and would love to pay them more. They deserve it. But hey I understand your sentiment. ALSO some say if you have the standard version you get this one for free :-)
Question - Anybody know how they got these footage angles? Is it in game option? if so i am so replaying this
amazing rpg, almost cried when i finished the game
I am confused, what are they releasing? The same game I already ahve?
console release pc gets a free dlc and some act 3 tweeks to bring the base game up to enhanced edition for free if you own a pc copy than you dont need to buy anything.
Does the lore exist in here?...like Black ring stuff or the Divine stuff?

i thought this trailer is about port it on switch. isnt it already on console? i played it on pc but can still play with controller
I've clocked over 500 hours on this game and this trailer doesn't make me want to play it. The strength of this game is the gameplay. Sell it on the gameplay, not some vague generalization of the plot.
0:30 looks like hes breathing : D
And for pc? :,(
That is a best news on e3 imo.
which ost is at 1:00?
Mead, Gold and Blood (Ifan's Theme)
Ils auront mis plus d'un an pour faire le portage et bien :) . Sinon pour ceux qui connaissent pas la licence je vous dit foncé c'est un super jeu
THE DEVS SHOULD AT LEAST FIX FANE'S ROMANCE ON PC ;-; SOB he never acknowledges it in the epilogue and two scenes aren't showing up!
The question that I have is - can Fane bone somebody? Get it? Bone... Huh? Ok, I'll show myself out the door.
i know this is a joke but yes, you can play as fane and you can bone somebody lol
And that alone makes the game worth playing in my opinion. Lol
if you play as a custom character, you get boned by the guy twice ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Thanks for the heads up, but all of my holes are intended to be an exit-only type of holes :D
Its a good game.
Pretty awesome game but loved divinity original way more
Nomad 2145 i'll be looking to play this for the first time once its released for ps4 and so far it seems like it'll offer more replay value than the original dos. The amount of playable characters and their storylines seems like a nice upgrade.
c hox dos 1 had better music and less tedious but sometimes too easy combat other than that dos 2 is better
I want this game in me
we need dlc
это шедевр!
Ifan Ben Mezd the righteous divine
Sigo pensando que divinity II es mejor...
What is making me not want to play this is that its turned base... i think that ruined it a bit... i was more expecting a real time combat type gameplay similar to seikendetsu 3. :(

Heldenfan23 yeah, only sometimes. My brain works in a higher gear 😁
So trailer spoils the final boss of the game? Way to go!
it doesn't
So you cant see the kraken at 1:39 then? I get it final boss is actually B****us, but it shows the boss fight arena, and the real dangerous foe of the fight.
ya but its not a story spoiler. You encounter kraken numerous times and none but him is shown here
You encounter it literally 5 minutes into the game. It doesn't imply he's the boss then and doesn't imply he is in the trailer either.
I completed the game and if you think the giant snake-like creature is the ending boss, you're mistaken, very badly.
Where the PC version?
already came out month ago
Month? I think you confused it with Pillars of Eternity 2. DoS2 released half of an year ago.
"months", sorry 1 s can change a lot, thank for correcting me
Yawn...Unoriginal sin 2
Bait...
Sooo... did they fix this terrible armor/shield system that made the combat a completely polarizing experience of _"you either stomp everything or have next to no way to win"?_
This is my only issue with the game :(
This issue is the reason I uninstalled the game without finishing it.

chaz yes I also did not figure out what to do but after you get to driftwood it gets amazing
another pc title ripped for the consoles , trash namco bandai .
Uh oh the gaming dragon has spoken hahahahaha loser.
we not like them let kids them enjoy this game XD
lol
Gamingdragon Who cares? I played and enjoyed the game to the fullest. Let the little ones have a proper game once in a while ;)

The game sucks why even feature it
Bene Maccarone your mom does too
Grass Whistle is it because this game is too hard for you?
Other people like it (But I still never played it)
What's wrong with it? It's perfect if you like CRPs. But probably not if you're a 12 year old cod fan.
Grass Whistle You suck!Go and buy more loot boxes idiot
