Holy s**t, what a game and what a run. Not owning Radiant Silvergun is one of my greatest regrets as a gamer. As a casual shmup fan, this game does everything right to draw me in. The amazing score, the cool bosses, and the trippy story and presentation make for such an intriguing experience that even a casual fan of the genre gets hooked. Not even Ikaruga managed to do that to me. The lack of re-releases of this game is a crime. This was a fantastic run, especially those crazy dodges in the last fight.
@@lucasenviavideotool assisted speedrun/superplay, to simplify it just means that the guy is using things like save states and rewinds for this replay and it's very easy to tell for anyone that has played this game
The hitbox is the cockpit of the ship only, the sparks are from touching projectiles and bullets with parts of the ship outside of the hitbox. You get points for doing that.
They've been teasing a release of this on the Switch for years now. And still NOTHING. The only way I've ever been able to play this is via Retroarch. (I have no way to hook up a Saturn because my A/V setup does not support analog audio or video, and converter boxes are out of the question because the quality is trash.)
@@StormsparkPegasus Update: Radiant Silvergun got pulled from the NA eShop. Likely due to recent issues with the game like music looping incorrectly. It will likely reappear in a couple of weeks so those issues will be ironed out
@@StormsparkPegasus It's back now. The reason it was removed was because of a rating mishap by the ESRB. The game is now rated T for Teen rather than E for Everyone. Mushihimesama went through the same issue in the PAL regions a while back for the same reason

About the re-releases, Radiant Silvergun arrives on Steam the 18th of August
this was a beautiful run, that game is sooo hard, Im amazed
Why hasn’t any one commented how amazing this player is ,reactions are amazing ,so much practice must have gone into this game play
Because it's obvious TAS. Anyone who's played this game knows you don't beat it with LV 11 weapons, either in Arcade mode or Saturn mode.
because these runs are tool assisted.
That was some inhuman skill there! Congratulations on surviving Radiant Silvergun.
We need a Switch port of this beauty!
You just got your wish! It's even out today according to the Nintendo Direct today
Update: Pulled from Switch NA Eshop possibly due to quality issues
Damn , and no time the sword was used. Amazing Playthrough!
The Nintendo Direct today brought me here and it's coming out today on the Switch
I
Fucking
LOVE
this game
I like that I can finally see all the attack phases of the final four bosses. Excluding w(- - )w of course... it just blew up , lol.
I held my breath as he dodged the projectiles XD
I wonder where/what exactly is it's hit box? Maybe it is that tiny square at the spaceshit center
this dude is questionably good
that's because it's TAS, if you look for any proper run of this game you can see much more thought put into them
What's TAS? @@floreaaikyuu

Very great picture but not in 4/3 format. I have problems with the sound. Is it just me ?
PURE SHEATING!!! Where are the sparks when the shots get too near in his ship?!! He is using invencibility!!!

@@SonataNumber8 That's called grazing.
Insane skills! A master at the game and not using the sword. Wow! 👍
Impressive. Congratulations.

classic gold... and somehow very unique in this genre of games, i thought as amazing as this game was it was bound to have spawned hommaging games.
hmm where would the earth be in 500 years from now.

It's official confirmed for the Switch and it just came out today from the Nintendo Direct
@@jasonmartinez5116 It did...looks like it's been removed. Doesn't show up on the eshop any longer, and the NIntendo page for it is a 404.
