Slow cooked for nearly 8 hours but candied up the outside nicely in the air fryer. When I finished it up in the air fryer I set the air fryer to 500 f. Each time I would thickly baste the meat in its own BBQ sauce for 3 minutes, repeating the process 3 times. I ended up with a delicately chared candied up crust before the meat had a chance to toughen up

Excellent recipe. I am doing another brisket with this recipe now. The only change I made is to have half the catchup and half homemade salsa. The texture is perrrfect! Thank you for sharing ❤
this recipe has become my favorite recipe. I even use it for beef shanks! Lovely! If you haven’t tried it yet, do so. You won’t get disappointed. Since I don’t like the texture like pulled pork, so I only slow cook it for 7 hours. And let it soak in the juice for overnight.

@@ElaineandGabriel I like BBQ you can make that tangy if that is your thing. Actually if ketchup is your thing then by all means go right ahead. I think people underestimate the power of the slow cooker. I’ve made some awesome dishes using the slow cooker but will try this method of using the oven for the finish. Thanks for the video friend 🤙
Was wondering. I like to use the kettle bbq to smoke brisket. Do you think smoking first or using the slow cooker first would be best? I don't think the sauce will do well later in the kettle bbq when I wrap the meat up. I am concerned the sauce may also stop the meat from smoking properly lol In the past I have smoked the brisket for a couple of hours in the kettle then moved it to the slow cooker with red wine and onion etc. But never had a thick sauce. I would prefer to keep it in the kettle but I can't always use it during fire danger season :( Sauce does look very nice though, thanks for the recipe :)
Hi thanks for your comment, not much of a smoker myself. But I am not sure one can do both for the same piece of meat. But if I were to attempt I would slow cook first, reserve the liquid from the slow cooker, transfer to saucepan and reduce and thicken it, move the meat to the smoker (carefully it's gonna be very tender I am afraid it might break apart) and use the thickend sauce to constantly baste the meat while it's smoking. Make sure to keep enough to drizzle after when plating.good luck , let us know how it goes, please subscribe to our channel would mean alot to us :)
@@ElaineandGabriel Thanks, I have tried both ways. I think with the flat part of the brisket it is better to smoke first then put in the slow cooker with the sauce after, but the thick piece of brisket the other way around. I always prefer the point of the brisket in the kettle bbq. But I think it ill be even better in the slow cooker with sauce cause of all the juices

Low temperature means how low it should be?
Hi, slow cookers generally have low and high temperature options. So basically lowest setting you have.
Trying this recipe today. Internal temp when finished? should it be around 190 to break down the fibers so it is more tender? Or is 160 ideal?
