Thanks for making me aware of this watch. I've never even heard of the brand until now. I appreciate your review style too. Calm, and informative delivery without any ridiculous gimmicks we see from some watch reviewers on RUclips.
I bought it partially based on this review. My bracelet isn't nearly as quality as yours. Many of the links would not articulate without some force. I was able to swap out some of the seized removable links but some of the non-removable links were also super stiff. I worked them back and forth and even used oil but still not moving properly. The clasp also doesn't follow the curve of the hinge so it sticks up quite a bit. I can see the same thing in the video. Bezel also wasn't aligned on my watch. I put the bracelet back in the box and put it on a strap. Not overly impressed based on the competition out there for the same or less.
For the love of Christ… cases were not made by Monnin but by a different company - MRP SA, a Swiss case manufacturer which also held the Swiss patent CH503305A for the design of the ratcheted, unidirectional rotating bezel. MRP SA - which still exists today - supplied these cases to Monnin as well as other companies assembling watches. Monnin is a style*
Nice looking watch. Love the case and bracelet. Nearly $500 for an NH38 diver is not very competitive in the current microbrand market tho, imo. Most watches in that price range are offering at least a Miyota 9039.
I really like this. It kinda reminds me of the momentum sea quartz I think it’s called. Also that clasp is lovely. Not in love with the name. Kinda sounds like a venereal disease. 😢
HGP owns the name for monnin cases. Back in the day Heuer, HGP, cwc, sinn, aquaduve, j. Bianchi, breitling and at least 20 other brands used the monnin cases. If any clone it's a Heuer 844 clone.

Glad to see HGP getting some love. Very under rated brand imo

HGP are great watches. They are popular in Europe. I have one of the larger sizes.
Ooooohhh. Cool new intro.
That is a heck of a tool watch!🤩👍🏼😎🇦🇺
Looking 😎 intro😊
The steel of the bracelet dosen't seem to match the case steel. Looks off

Focus please. Hard to watch.
Why does that beads of rice bracelet look more like jubilee…
J. Bianchi Clone
It's non a clone. J. Bianchi didn't design anything. They're reissues of vintage divers which used Monnin cases. They have to be similar
