Another great video! Workload n timetable for medicine will never fail to amaze me...can’t wait til the restrictions are lifted and we can go to those clubs together tho :)))
Hello and I just want to ask you that lots of university's have got 6-year MBBS programmes while few universities like University of Nottingham, University of Birmingham and University of Manchester have got 5-year MBBS programme. So, what's the difference? Isn't there a foundation year? Can you answer me please! Because I already have got an idea to study in the Nottingham but I'm curious about the 5-year programme...
Hey, your video is really informative, thank you! Having been to an offer holder day recently, my daughter came away really liking all that Notts had to offer. Our only concern ( shared by many on TSR, it seems), is a post on Reddit about low student satisfaction and abnormally high suicide rates at Notts. We are trying to find out more information about this so that we can make an informed decision about whether to firm Notts. Of course, Notts won’t be unique in having a few students who aren’t able to cope. Are the stats something you are aware of as a current student, is it a fair assessment and are the staff there doing anything about it, do you know?

Heyy. I’m kinda confused. I’m under the impression that the medical school is in Derby which is around 40 minutes by hopper bus away from Nottingham campus centre. Would there be a separate accommodation there for the medical students? Actually I’m applying for Biomed which is held in the Royal Derby Hospital. Did you travel that distance from Raleigh Park to get to the site every day?
the medical school campus is at queens medical centre in Nottingham, not derby. One of the hospitals you can get for placement though is royal derby hospital if you’re allocated it in year 3-5! Hope this helps :)
@@AymaraAnahi ohhh tysm! Yeah I’m acc hopefully applying for medical physiology and therapeutics there. But I’m the course webpage it said I would be studying at royal derby hospital I was so confused. I really did not want to be far from campus if I had to study 40 minutes away just to get to lectures.
10:23 hahaha dooo noootttt worry about not knowing pre-clinical knowledge for the clinical years, I know nothing from 1st/2nd year I swear. I spend half my time retro-teaching myself random 2nd year bs I've forgot (like fam do you _really_ need to know the WHOLE cellular exchange of the nephron to know loop diuretics cause hypokalemia?) and if in doubt, and you don't know the answer on ward rounds, just say "COVID", works 90% of the time 😅
