  • I created this vlog as a way to express all of my emotions and to create a memory that I could revisit each year. This has undoubtedly been the most challenging vlog to produce. It took an exceptionally long time to edit because I experienced multiple breakdowns and was not in a good state of mind while editing it. Idk why I did this to myself but part of me is relieved that this vlog is finally complete. I still have a few more gazette vlog to make, but I might have to put them on hold for now.

Thank you for providing a space for all GazettE and Reita's fans to pour their emotions, it been hard the last couple of week trying to process and accept that he is no longer with us but we should eep his memory alive and more than even support the remaining members.

    I'm Brazilian.
I met The GazettE band through a school friend in 2011.
Since then, I've really liked the band, and right from the start, Reita was my idol.
I've listened to many bands and songs, but The GazettE was the only band I really liked a lot.
In 2013, they came to Brazil and I got to hear the band live.
It was a fantastic experience; the band played in a city called São Paulo, but I live in another city.
Because of the concert, it was the first time I traveled by plane, the first time I rode a train, the first time I traveled without family, the first time I slept in a hotel, and the first time I went to a concert.
Ruki had a bottle of water in his hands, he threw water up in the air, and I remember water falling on me.
In 2019, they returned to Brazil and this time I went again with my girlfriend.
It was excellent. It's really sad what happened; it was the first time I felt sad about the death of a famous person.
I'll miss Reita a lot; I wanted to buy things from The GazettE, but unfortunately, there's nothing in Brazil.

Thank you for sharing your emotions.
Even though more than 2 weeks ago, I still grieving and feel hollow in my heart. I'm just a little overseas fan who never came to join their live concert. I fell in love with them for 15 years and REITA is the most. I think we, all the GazettE fans need to still strong and support them forever.
If I have some luck maybe I can go to Heresy limited live on his birthday :,)

Thank you for making and sharing this video.
I am still struggling a lot and I remember waking up that day (living in Germany it was morning when the news got out) and my mind going blank as well, reaching out to my best friend who I have known since our youth and not being able to even speak what had happened. We then talked on the phone for hours about the band and Reita and what they meant for us. I told her that I had seen his last tweet and felt the urge to answer it, writing in my broken Japanese how much their music has helped me and meant to me and thanking him for the music. He probably never read that, but I still wish he did, even though that might seem selfish. I just hope he knew, that he was loved.
I'm sitting here crying again as write this comment, but some of the words you wrote just hit home with me. It truly feels like having lost a life long friend. I've known the GazettE for 20 years, ever since I was 11. Their music literally helped me survive my youth and still... every time I feel like life is getting too much their music is my save haven. Just last November when my grandma was about to die, I tattooed the logo of the Ninth tour onto the back of my hand, because that concert kept me at bay, rewatching the recording several times every day. Now I look at my hand and wonder... It's not my only tattoo I got due to the GazettE. I also got a red lotus flower with the Kanji for 'guren' next to it on my neck when I was 18. It was my second ever tattoo. This band is always with me. They've always been. And they always will be in one way or another. It's just that I can't imagine anyone in Reita's place. I don't want to.
Sorry, I made this comment so much about myself. I just don't know where to take these thoughts and feelings. Noone wants to see a grown ass man cry over a band member he hasn't even once met, who came from a country most people here in Germany (or at least in my surroundings) only associate with anime. And my best friend has her own problems to deal with, I don't want to push myself on her too much.
So once again: THANK YOU for creating this space for fellow SIXTH GUNS to feel part of a community that is mourning as a whole

I didn't plan on crying today, but I couldn't help it after reading your comment 😢Thank you for sharing your feelings. I completely understand where you're coming from, and I believe most of the sixth guns do too. It's tough, but I hope you're feeling a little better now.
P.S: Interestingly, I was introduced to the band by an online friend from Germany when I was 14 years old. We've lost touch since then, and I'm unsure if she still follows the band, but I'm forever thankful for her! It's amazing how music and connections with others can shape our lives :)

@@DaydreaminginJapan Sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry. I hope you're okay now! 🫂 Yes, I am feeling a little bit better now after sharing my thoughts and also now after reading your answer to them.
The GazettE really do bring the world together in a way, don't they? especially when I was 15-17 I've met so many great people from all over the world through their music. but it was my dad who first introduced me to the band after I got into D'espairs Ray through a German youth magazine. because he is a complete music and anime nerd and when he stumbled upon the GazettE he just knew, I'd fall in love with them. which I did.
when I told him about Reita, my dad also shed a tear. even my dad and I are connected through GazettE, because through them we can at least still talk about guitars and stuff while not having much else in common anymore.

thank you for this video, I've been a fan of them for so long now they ended up becoming a part of me and my life, even though I never had the chance to see them live. to think that there wont be another stage where we will see all five of them breaks my heart and shatters my dreams, when i heard the news it felt like part of my world had been destroyed. despite never seeing them with my own eyes, they always felt so familiar to me, and reita was no exception to this feeling. I really hope he is happy wherever he is now, because him and gazette are the reason me and so many people like me have felt saved and found happiness within their own short lives.

👋🏻 a fellow long time oversea fan here. I've been a fan since around 2006. Ruki is my favorite member, but I love them all the same. Their music has always comforted me and keep me sane through hard times, spoke to my soul like none other ever could.. and after all these years honestly they feel just like good friends to me.
On the night of April 15th this year, the day of Reita's passing, I felt this weird gut feeling that something was off, out of the blue. Then their image just popped into my head and I thought "are they ok?"..I couldn't shake it off so out of desperation I sent a little message to Ruki through insta and fan mail, although knowing that it's probably would get lost and won't be read. I asked "how are you? Is everything ok? just checking up on you. Have a good rest tonight ok, byeee."
And then the next day my friend informed me that Reita had passed.
This is such a heartwarming tribute video ✨ thank you for sharing. We all will always have Reita in our thoughts. By playing the bass and touched our worlds with it, Reita got us all connected and thus he already have the forever that he wished for. RIP Reita ♥️

So sad i will never see them live with all the members. The gazette has been my favorite band since 2015, not a long time but i listen to them almost every day when i am working, studying, outside home, i play their songs on my guitar and love them all. Still in shock about Reita, this feeling is so strange. Thank for sharing this video!

Thank you for creating this safe and understanding space for us all. I’m starting to grieve only now because I’ve been in total denial until a few days ago and because I have no one to talk about it, especially because no one would understand.
I’ve been a fan since 2007-08 and I’m actually from Italy so I didn’t really had the chance to see them live. I’m regretting not insisting on going to see them in France or Germany back in 2019, now it’s just too late.
I feel that now, more than ever, we have to support the band and not leave them feel unsure about our love for them. This is difficult enough so we have to ease this for them as much as we can.
    Please stay strong! ❤️

I was trying not to cry from it but when you get time and space to yourself tears will flow. I will support The Gazette just like I always have. I think that's what Reita would want. Again, thank you for this video, it made me smile after a tornado just went by my home.

Me doeu muito quando vi algumas postagens na madrugada mas ainda pensei que era fake, depois que eu acordei eu vi que a mensagem era oficial.... Reita é e sempre será o meu maior ídolo musical. aqui no Brasil temos 12 horas de diferença do horário do Japão l.

This was lovely in that you shared much of the same emotions and experiences many of us felt. I'm glad you had friends there to grieve with. As an overseas fan, I went back to Tumblr as that's where I made so many wonderful connections with other Sixth Guns from many countries. We all seemed to be feeling the same shock, pain and disbelief. The Gazette's music has been there to help many through difficult times. It deeply saddens me to think Reita might have been hurting too while I watched the last live. He will always be missed and loved by many. That way, he will live on. I love seeing the fans come together in this very difficult time. Thank you again for sharing and know that an invisible army of fellow Sixth Guns will join you at the venue for the memorial.

And for me just recently finding your channel and commenting how I wish to see them live again, it broke me when the news hit. And I will probably forever have a regret for not trying to ever see them live again after their first Europe tour. But I will see it as through your videos, I'll have the slightest hope to that I live through you at least.

Thank you for the video, it was a really sad day for a lot of us fans. It definitely takes time to mourn for Reita, glad you managed to did it. I've been a fan for nearly 17-18 years as well, definitely life changing to know them and their music. I've been planning to see them live next year, and hearing the news back in April definitely devastating. But, I'm still planning to go, when they have future shows next year. I believe they will have more shows to come, Reita's dream will live on. I'm just wondering, is it difficult to get tickets? Since I know their shows usually lottery style. Is it possible to get more than 1 tickets to different shows? Thank you for your help and comments.

    • @DaydreaminginJapan
      @DaydreaminginJapan  23 дня назад +1

Thank you for your comment! Their shows are definitely one of a kind, and I highly recommend you to attend one if you can! :) If you already have the FC, it's usually not difficult to get tickets (except for high demand shows like the upcoming one). You can get more than one ticket, but most of the time, the companion has to be in the FC as well. The ticketing system can be a little complicating, but I'm sure you can reach out to the community for guidance :)

I really loved Zetsu and the video! They've done so many great songs.
    Love from England.
