Hello Nathaniel, firstly thank you so much for this video on Genome assembly and the issues, approaches and algorithms and tools used for assembly. Secondly, I came here watching this video by having a prior knowledge of what assembly is, different types of data coming from different tech's and algorithms used. However, i was reading the assembly algorithms without actually understanding the meaning of it(especially OLC), but in this video i came to know and understood the meaning of OLC where you have perfectly broken OLC into three words and explained the meaning of it (i.e find overlaps, remove redundant sequences and consensus). Now i am very clear about the working of OLC (if not in detail, but abstract). Thank you so much again for your time. Hope people will find it useful soon.
