I hope you respond. I love your review! You’re very thorough and detailed! I would love to get one of these, although it is very expensive and all I do is a little miniature crafts. But this would be perfect. I usually work with poster board, once in a while balsam wood or popsicle sticks. Sometimes plastic or that acrylic that looks and feels like plastic. I am extremely new at doing crafts. I just started three months ago. This helped me a great deal. Can you tell me how well it works on the materials that I mentioned that I use? Thank you so much.
It would work very well on your materials, especially poster board. As I mentioned, it is like drive a fast car, as it cuts quickly and takes a light touch to control curved cuts. I hope this helps. Scott
how well would those cut hardwoods like maple for inlaying? In your video, it looked like the wood was burning. Can it be used for long periods of time?
sure, it is for sharpening, piece of metal with diamonds embedded in it. Great for sharpening. Here is a link kit.co/imaginegrove/silver-filigree-and-inlay-class-tools/dmt-diamond-machini
I just turn on the unit and use the ultrasonic vibration on a sharpening stone. I like the diamond cards extra fine. works like a dream. still on my first blade.
@@kirklishman8997 yes, see here kit.co/imaginegrove/silver-filigree-and-inlay-class-tools/dmt-diamond-machini or you can use a old school sharping stone, simply turn on unit, hold blade at low angle to stone and it vibrates and sharpens the blade. hope this helps
It depends on what you are cutting and the blade replacement was a concern for me too. Then I realized I could easily sharpen it on a diamond card while it is on. So now I touch it up every time and have never had to replace the blade.
@@kirklishman8997 these would be more difficult as I suspect it would melt it with the friction. you would have to keep the blade moving. With wood, if I cut too slowly it burns the wood
Thank you. Looks like something I will try for Marquetry, and inlay work.
Best of luck!
What a great product! Thanks again.
Glad you like it!

Would some modifications, do you think this would make a good cnc attachment?
ooh, great idea. certainty better than a drag knife

it would burn thicker hardwoods. I haven't had it quite on me, but haven't used it for longer periods of time.
Very cool, how big is the blade?
a touch smaller than a xacto #11
Would this even cut off the plastic tag on your jeans?
@3:04
too funny,
Does it also open locks and reprogram alien spaceships?
no, but I wish it did windows and dishes
No, that's the sonic screwdriver. You'll also want to look into the sonic leaf blower.
Can this be used to cut off excess tissue ? 🤔😕
yup that too
would you have any ultrasound cutting blade for cutting medicine pills into halves please?
I would assume the blade it comes with will cut the pills.
Would you tell me more about the diamond card and a link perhaps?

How would u go about sharpening these blades!!!

@@imaginegrove diamond cards!.. sounds daft I know but what is the process of sharping these blades ! Cheers 😊

Does it cut well through hard plastic?
thin yes, but the vibration melts the plastic
Really interesting, anyone knows why whis has a cord? Those curled cords are a pest. But putting it on you belt could actually make it work.
Yeah, the curly cord is a bit heavy, I"ve been thinking about switching it out. good idea
is it still working great after two years?
yes, I don't use it often but when I do it is a life safer. It even holds the charge.
Do you think this would work well for 5 gallon bucket lids?
I do, ping me later this week and I will give it a try
is this still working for you 2 years on? i am concerned about how long this sort of thing will last with moderate use.
I don't use it that often. When I do, it is a life saver. Still works.
How long does the blade last for as these are £300+ in the UK!

You never mentioned the price.
Yes, it is around $400 and well worth it
It hums so does that mean it doesn't know the words?
only when I sing along
How do you change the blades. Most hav no holes but a couple do. Poor instructions
There is a set screw. Easy peezy
Finally..😁😁
right
I thought it was rechargeable.

yes it is.
And the most important thing, SO SO EXPENSIVE
