Always skip the onions when eating fresh herring. Some try to sell you old herring, and do mask the oily and nasty taste with a Tsunami of onions. If you want onions anyway, demand they put it aside of the herring. It is the oldest trick in the book and not all herring vendors can be trusted.
The licorice candy you had barely qualifies as licorice tho. Thats almost the same as calling Cadbury chocolate chocolate. I dont blame you for disliking the taste of it. If you'd ever want to try it again, here are some suggestions. From Venco, there's 'muntdrop', 'katjes' and 'honingdrop'. Sweet and tough licorice. Haribo has you covered with 'zoute bommen' and 'halve manen', salty or sweet and both chewy (tho the zoute bommen are relatively sweet and a bit tough too). Katja has 'zoute haringen', if you prefer a more salty and chewy flavor. For salmiak, you could try some 'riksen' from Klene (chewy) or 'tongen' from Meenk (tough) and f you really aquired a taste for it all, there's always the 'briketten' (dubbelzoutjes) from Venco.
to be honest. the first place you went to is very close to a restaurant called takumi. My personal favorite Japanese style restaurant in Rotterdam. I would have liked your opinion of the food there rather then the Snackbar. Also, I personaly prefer the 'Kroket' over the 'Frikandel'.

David was awesome! 😀
Seth's poffertjes shop soo good u should try waffles with cream and suiker!! Also looks like u guys went on a saturday since i see the market
Awesome video man! I live in Rotterdam and I'm gonna visit Japan in august. Any suggestions?
As someone who lives in the Netherlands this was a really fun video😂
David is a great tour guide!
I honestly missed the 'Kapsalon' in the video - the best midnight snack, crazy popular in Holland and originally from Rotterdam!
Next time, Stampot Andijvie, Snert en spruitjes😂
Always skip the onions when eating fresh herring. Some try to sell you old herring, and do mask the oily and nasty taste with a Tsunami of onions. If you want onions anyway, demand they put it aside of the herring. It is the oldest trick in the book and not all herring vendors can be trusted.
Are you a RUclips? 🤣Yeah George is the whole server.
😂
06:56 yup, people in Netherlands are friendly. I'm a little bit jealous now, I should pretend that I'm vlogging next time
The licorice candy you had barely qualifies as licorice tho.
I like seeing you in the Netherlands, the place seems to suit you well!
I love the Netherlands 🇳🇱
I feel honored! Btw i accedently click on cancel so i lost what i was writing lol
🇳🇱
In the beginning... Dutch old guy in the back just chillin' on his gangstermobile.
Makes me proud of my country:)
I used to be. Until Zapp aired a certain kids tv show 'gewoon bloot'. Now I'm ashamed to be dutch.
to be honest. the first place you went to is very close to a restaurant called takumi. My personal favorite Japanese style restaurant in Rotterdam. I would have liked your opinion of the food there rather then the Snackbar.
Also, I personaly prefer the 'Kroket' over the 'Frikandel'.
Feels so wierd watching someone react to my own country not city but country
Thanks for sharing💯
Thanks for visiting my beautiful city i was born and raised in Rotterdam
Pfff I've moved out of Netherlands 6 years ago and just seeing Patatje Oorlog - I NEED IT RIGHT NOW!
"You wanna kiss me? Kissing noises* " that shit was hilarious 😂😂
You didn’t buy fries for the tourguide? 😅 1:59
fun fact about the netherlands :D only in the upper north part like Groningen you find deep fried eggs and different kind of fries, instead of potatoes it's more like a kind of potato starch. Pretty bumped u didnt visit Groningen :0
Usually candy stores are mostly for imported stuff, like American candies: takis and all that stuff
3:14 hahahaha you had me dying hope you enjoyed your stay here…
For the first time in my life, I’m speechless about the peeing boy candy part. Being gay, I’d go for the dick part too, but I can’t stop laughing at this video. Lol
At least you always make me smile George.
As Dutch, I also prefer Belgian chocolate...
Next time you need to try the Kapsalon!
