What really impresses me about the Gorillaz is their musics' longevity. You can go back and listen to their oldest stuff or their newest cd and it all sounds relevant. Fan or not, you have to pay heed to a group that transcends the barriers of themselves. The likes of which have not been seen in decades. Does anyone serious think 20 years from now we'll know a damn thing about Gaga, Creed, Nickelback, Beiber? Most people lack even the most subtle emotion to their music. It may be slightly catchy or impressive at first glance but that's all it will ever be. A glance....
Sadly, I personally don't see myself going back to their most recent album as much as I would like to. Hell, I think I like The Fall more than I like Humanz :/
