i highly recommend Mike’s banjos. He carves a little wider/deeper neck that feels so right when you play it. He adjusts the pot dimensions to slightly thinner and deeper than a traditional build that yields a nice deep mellow tone while still maintaining structural integrity to last a lifetime. The tone and appearance are top-notch. He will build to your custom specs of course too.

Hey Mike, I just purchased one of your custom Banjos from Elderly. It's a 12 inch walnut w/ a blue spruce inlay on the heel. Looks, on-line, awesome, can't wait to receive it tomorrow. I expect to feel like the taste of syrup on a pancake. The banjo has 4 replacement hooks, and I was wondering if I could buy some replacement Original, antiqued hooks for it from you directly. Please let me know and I will keep you posted on my opening awe.

Very cool. Wood I love to get my hands on one of these. The banjo I play on my RUclips channel was given to me15 years ago, so I didn't have much say in the matter, except, "thank you". It's not the sound I'm looking for though. Would be great to have one of these.
