    That place is freakin awesome man... I had access to a couple really big private ponds in the Louisiana Texas area that had legit 9 and 10lb bass in them. I grew up fishing them and about 2 years ago I got to go fish one of them again some 25 years later and it was like being a kid all over again. I don't think any of us ever lose that kid side that wants to do things like this... LOL Great video as always keepem coming guys!!!

    I just got my new Hyperspeed LFS in the mail. Put it on the 10XD cranking rod and can't wait to take it out.

      ? Why would you put a high speed reel on a cranking rod.?

    • @patrickpoticher756
      @patrickpoticher756 Год назад

      @@JS-oy6nn Because the faster you crank it the faster it dives.

    I have yet to understand the fascination with high speed reels.? If you carefully look you can see at times mark can barely turn the handle, which is what you run into with high ratios loss of torque. Inches Per Turn is the first thing I look at when buying a new reel and what I plan on using it for. I stay around 26-30 IPT. I don’t like hooking into a 6lb. Bass in heavy cover and trying to reel with my hands tied so jerkbaits are the only lures I use 8.3:1 @ 33” ipt and say I’m using a frog I’ll use a 7.5:1 @ 30”ipt with a 95mm handle (love Lews) so I have speed and torque to drag fish out of heavy cover. This is just my opinion from 30 odd years of bass fishing and buying the wrong and right gear.

      Candidly, we fish at different scales than these guys do. As much as I’m inclined to agree with you in principle, these dudes are pros. The difference is real. But to your point, I don’t wanna drive an F1 car.
