I mean, it's a game made by an ace combat fan and it feels like an ace combat game (which means the game is great and it deserves to be part of the ace combat series)
It even has the alternate world devastated by a massive disaster. In Strangereal's case, it was Ulysses crashing down on the planet, while in the case of Project Wingman, it was Yellowstone having enough of silence.
I wish Glamrock Squadron was mentioned. I know they’re not technically “rivals” and only show up like once in a DLC mission, but something about a group of cowboys getting together to fly F-4s and battle Oseans with a “yee-haw” mentality just does it for me. Also, they give out one of the rawest lines I’ve heard in a video game when they shoot down the player.
Yellow squadron (having stonehange flashbacks ) knowing Mobius 1 is coming to Megalith is simply perfect. Mihaly with his plot armour and belkan sorcery while the sky is speaking in latin. Pasternak awakening ultra-nosferatu. Sulejmani with his tragic backstory. Z.O.E against Phoenix whas also hilarious. Crimson Making Namek orange and crispy while also fighting monarch for five minutes. P E R F E C T
This was VERY good work! The One Punch Man rock, paper, scissors match being Trigger and Mihaly's battles through 7 was such a perfect fit it's been sitting rent free in my head ever since I first seen it...
Alect: cool advanced planes get shot down by Nemesis Laesath and Navarro: face palm I will have imagined Strigon that "recent" film were there a Task Force of people who if die they ressurrect shortly after, there the scene were they are gunned down and then turn back alive. Since Strigon Team when they die they get replaced by others
Half way through AC6 Strigon team is reinforced by Viper team, another crack team of aces that was disbanded off-screen before we encounter them. Effectively the Strigon team at the start of the game and the Strigon at the end, are two completely different combat teams.

When they die they get simply replaced but they always have the same aircraft. During the day Strigon Team is wiped out? they get replaced and the night the same numbers of Strigon fighters will attack again.
@@trainknut They weren't disbanded, they were captured aces from enemy forces who were reassigned to work for Estovakia. They were just the reserve, and got "disbanded" when Strigon Team needed to be reinforced after you made sashimi out of the Aigaion.

Prepare your brain because it's a wild ride: In order to explain who Dision is, I HAVE TO explain the key points of AC3's story Abyssal DIsion WAS a man working for the megacorporation called General Resources, an ace pilot to be exact. He WAS in a relationship with scientist Yoko Martha Inoue, who's one of Schroeder's assistants in AC7 alongside Simon (another big shot of AC3). Yoko was working on a secret project for GR called "sublimation" which basically consists of uploading a mind on the internet. She tried this on Dision, resulting in a success, meaning that alongside human Dision who, based on Keith's words and very few cutscenes, was actually a nice man, existed a digital Dision connected to every possible camera and other devices, who immediately distanced himself from human Dision (saying "That's not me" in one cutscene) and viewed him as hostile (mainly because he was with Yoko). Digital Dision saw human Dision and Yoko being killed by GR in a "terrorist attack" because they wanted to cancel the sublimation project and erase every proof of it, not knowing that one person has already been uploaded. This enraged Dision, who promised himself to take revenge on those who wronged him (at first GR by then humanity in general). Thus begins his preparations to the events of AC3, meeting Rena and doing his things with the aim of sublimating everyone. Enters Simon, who had feelings for Yoko (but not vice-versa). After the whole GR bombing affair, Simon joined Neucom (this is said in AC3, it might be corrected since Neucom was born after EASA was privatized, and both Yoko and Simon worked for EASA in AC7) and wanted to get revenge on Dision for letting Yoko die. Somehow he knew about the sublimation and the successful test, so he created an AI, descendant of AC2/ACAHL Z.O.E. planes and Hugin and Munin, who might also have flight data straight out from Mihaly and Trigger, called Nemo. Nemo's goal is to have Dision killed, nothing more. To make sure that this happens, Simon runs a bunch of simulations which, surprise surprise, is the ENTIRETY of AC3. Once he's satisfied with the simulations, he releases Nemo to the real world, ready to end Dision in any way possible. TL:DR Dead man now code on the internet angry at the world wants to make everyone like him but gets stopped but an even merciless code.
