Great video as always. Keep it up. The saddle looks great and something I would consider buying. The frustrating part is they nickel and dime you if you want the panel adjustment straps ($15). At $290 this saddle should come with the straps included. I’m going to be new to saddle hunting and for this reason alone I may go with another manufacturer. $300+ for a complete setup is tough.
This was the best gear purchase of 2021. My first saddle and 16 times in a tree and zero trouble with this saddle. Super comfortable and safe...much more than a tree stand and anchor.
I'm a small guy #150 5' 7'' 29"-30" pant size waist. Just like in the video I too found the straps gave me some hip discomfort(pinch). I just had to make an adjustment. I'll have re-evaluate while wearing the saddle again. If I recall I was thinking the saddle was too long for me when experiencing the pinch and did not consider the width between the straps being the cause of the slight hip pinch. Small tether height adjustments make a big change in comfort. The discomfort seemed unnoticeable during late season when I was wearing a cold weather bib. The bibs provided some cushion. Seems like the saddle manufacturers need to establish several saddle size options in relation to pant waist size instead of one size fits all. Thanks for sharing that the XL is just a little big for us small guys. Humans are just all built differently. All in all the Method 2 saddle is a quality piece of gear. MADE IN THE USA!! Hang Safe my friends!
Thanks! I've been waiting for this video! I don't regret buying the Phantom, but wish I could have tried both side by side. If I ever replace it, probably going to go Method
Glad to hear you had a great fall. Been looking forward to your video reviews and tips/techniques. I picked up a gen1 latitude classic as a starter saddle this past year and had a lot of fun with it paired with the edp. I've got no complaints but might look to upgrade to a 2 panel when that one starts to wear. Next year I'm looking to try the one stick method to cut stick weight.
Your review is spot on, I've had to run the tether eye level to chin level, I just got the panel straps so I'll see if that helps , but after using my xl method for two days I went back to my kestrel flex and it was much more comfortable, but I will give the method another try after my shoulder is healed up , also I do love method pouches. 👍👍👍
I absolutely loved this video! I’ve been wanting to get into the saddle hunting and have decided on the method 2 in the xl. I’m curious though, what are your plans for that xl that you have? Would you be interested in selling it?
Custom gear modifications can put the magnets in, I'm gonna send mine in and get that done. I think that's the best addition to the Gen 2. Other than that my Gen 1 will be with me forever even if I get a 2nd saddle.
That lowrider position is where the Gen 1 shines for me. I bring that bottom panel below my butt and the top around lower to mid back and that is the position I fall asleep in the most. I'm gonna do a video on saddle positions for guys who have latitude saddles. I'm going on 3 years with mine and have found a lot of tips and tricks over the time. Im mainly a sitter and when I sit I'm usually straddling the tree very comfortably. If your interested I'd love to have your view and subscription!
I primarily sit i weigh 200 and I'm 6 foot and I have no problem getting comfortable I wonder why you can't get comfortable but I can how tall are you?
My first saddle is a method 2 last season. Very stealthy super comfortable and adjustable.

Thanks for another great review!
I have the first one like it. Got it just before this one came out. Wish mine had the magnets. If you sell one let me know.

@@thepubliclandnomad3365 thanks I have contact them. I thought about doing it myself but I will try them.

If you had to pick between the Method 2 and the Black Belt Ultimate, which saddle would you choose and why? Thanks!
This is an outstanding saddle.
It definitely is I agree

Good job
Is better than the CRÜZR Archon or cruzr xc in your opinion
I personally like the Archon better.
