Blizzard Brahma 88 2019-2020 Ski Review | Ellis Brigham

The Brahma 88 is the epitome of a one quiver ski. In recent years Blizzard has a reputation of building some of the best all mountain/freeride skis and the Brahma 88 sits at the narrow end of that market but uses a decent amount of shape to deliver excellent hard snow handling mixed with it’s Flipcore rocker that effortlessly cruises around in soft snow whilst smoothing out the roughest of terrain.

East coast skiing in West Virginia on piste: Nordica Enforcer 88s, Blizzard Brahma 88s, Rossi Experience 88s, Elan Wingman 88s, or ??? I learned to ski on the west coast and am getting acclimated to the ice and crud piles out East... do I need to look at more narrow skis than this? I have pow and off piste skis, but I’m looking for a solid east coast front side ski.

Can't go wrong with that list. Blizzards are fantastic, the bonafides are unbelievable but I want to try the Brahma as more specific piste oriented ski

meatandfish I ended up calling Ski Essentials and asked them the same question, they recommended the Enforcer and the Brahmas based on my height and weight (I’m 6’3 and 230 pounds). I went with Enforcers purely because they were on sale. Haven’t had a chance to ski them yet, but really looking forward to it.
