A small correction:- Srila Prabhupada did pass his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry exam, only he did not accept the certificate as an act of protest against the British rule of, so HDG was indeed a scientist. Hare Krishna

I am a single parent of a 25 soon to be 26years old boy Sparsh who is presently in the autistic spectrum l and non verbal as well.
My journey has been beautiful and challenging and continues to be beautiful not as much challenging.
If there is one thing that made a difference it was Krishna Consciousness - if not for Srila Prabhupad translating our Sacred Scriptures imto engkish i would have ended being disillusioned and disappointed with life.
I am dyslexic myself so it's just The Maha Mantra that keeps us going! I was in the middle east as well. Now in Mysore, India!

Thank you so much for sharing this episode. So many learnings from these courageous parents. I have normal children and I feel so demotivated with small things. This perseverance.. and the faith is so enlivening. Thank you once again for reviving my faith and increasing my surrender.
And what the hell is a "normal" child?? Everyone has their own little idiosyncrasies, whatever they may be. The correct term is "neurotypical", not "normal". Be more careful with your choice of words because using the word "normal" when talking about children can come across as really offensive.

Truly amazing, thanks for sharing this! It is usually considered that people on the so called autistic spectrum do well and can develop skills by interacting with animals, i wonder if this devotee tends to cows, perhaps it could be helpful. I’ve also seen reports about people who are a bit socially awkward that they may behave less awkwardly when interacting in a second language or moving to a different culture, I don’t know what would be the reason, but it seems to help also to some degree.
Not sure about the moving to a different culture bit (because I've never done that), but what you said about animals is true. I am neurodiverse (autism and ADHD) and I adore my dogs. In fact, I prefer spending time with my dogs over most humans. One of my dogs is my assistance dog and I'd be lost without him.

I was thrown out from many temples cause they could not understand an autistic person on spectrum like me. I tried to live in those temples. Dont throw out these persons from your life, there is a way how to communicate and accept them.

People are the way God makes them. I am autistic (level one) and I would never want to be neurotypical. I love being neurodivergent. The medical community shouldn't be trying to "cure" neurodivergent people.

The thing about animals could be… people on the spectrum are usually very simple minded, while the normal thing in society at least nowadays is being duplicitous to some extent, so, there’s either a lot of strain in interaction or it can be a source of much anxiety. Animals are not duplicitous, which means around animals such people feel very at ease and may even open up in ways that they aren’t able to do when interacting with people.
Sorry, but I find that very rude. I am on the autism spectrum and I am not "simple minded" thanks very much. I have university qualifications. I also adore animals, however this does not make me "simple minded".

Give the child black seed oil
Unless you are a qualified medical specialist, you should refrain from giving medical advice. I am autistic and I can tell you now that "black seed oil" isn't going to change that! Nor would I want to change it.
Simply doing kirtan and preparing bhoga for the Lord and eating Krishna Prasadam is the spiritual medication for the soul. Haribol.
