This guy knows how to get a full bucket. He doesn't curl the bucket in so much like most operators, he leaves it open and instead uses the boom and the lower arm to do most of the digging. By leaving the bucket open he forces more dirt into it and fills it full, wereas other operators close the bucket too soon and the dirt can't be pushed as far in, so the back of it winds up partially empty much of the time.

A 984 is bigger than you imagine. 120 tons (very difficult to transfer on the road).
Against a standard trucks which can contain 30 tons maxi (less on the road), 2 bucket is not a surprise in sand.
A 120 tons class excavator is the biggest excavator you will never see near you on except for mining.
Once you have a 80-120 tons excavator somewhere , go and see it.
If you are far , it seems like any standard excavator. But It is very impressive if you are not far.
What about the Liebherr R 9800 G6? It's an 800 Ton Mining excavator that has a 47.5m³ bucket (or whetever that thing is called in english).

It is a big mining machine class. Perhaps there is no such a machine in all your country.
I talked about an excavator you may see one day if there is a big construction to do (highway, train ...)
@@abinadvd I mean...I got a 2500 Hectar surface coal mine that's - according to Google maps - 50km away. A 44min drive. Maybe imma go visit it once to see one of these gigantic ass things 💁🏼♂️ Tho i think they have bigger ones. "Bucket Wheel Excavator" or whatever they're called.

This machine operator is the best operator that I’ve seen in all the operators since I’ve been watching these showes for at least two years of watching if he has been operating the large excavators Volvos caterpillars liebherrs all of them ! He’s the best !

That bucket is damn near as big as the trucks it's loading !
I'm certainly no expert, but this operator is as good as I've seen! Smooth, safe, articulate and accurate! He gets the truck completely full with little to no spill-over. Great job, and thank you from Ohio, USA for another great video!

I’d say there’s no accuracy the way he’s throwing half of it all over the truck and floor. A private dumper driver wouldn’t be impressed with you covering his gear in shite.

Or just design, when pulling then rams are in correct position, on the top of the boom.
P.S. Precise enough on the controls that he even straightens out a mini in the tailgate of one truck! Kudos!! Fantastic!!

@@realtalkslowdown544 he looks pretty good to me. I like how he leaves the bucket open and digs with the arms to force more dirt into it instead of closing the bucket and leaving the back of the bucket empty like a lot of operators.
As an experienced operator this is considered a bludge job, not skillful just boring as shit. Just don't hit the truck.

I suppose one reason they don't hook 3 or 4 side dumpers to one tractor is the operator would have to swing a full 180 degrees to load the train since they can't back into place. Still seems like it would be more efficient if the roads were good enough for one tractor to pull that much dirt.

That's a lot of excavator for those little dump trucks haha. But they have an efficient system going. I wonder if it would have been more cost effective to have 40 ton trucks hauling the dirt.
The bumpers are owner operators so it’s cheaper for the mine....
